You're absolutely correct. My fault but thanks for the clarification. When reviewing the pre-interview task, I realised that I had made a mistake after recording the video. 😜

Soon I have an interview for CELTA. Your video helped me a lot and I am sincerely thankful of it. Your friendly approach to make the video is also great. Thank you for spending time for preparing the video
Hello, Martin! Your video is really helpful for CELTA aspirants but I feel that your volume is a bit low (I don't know if the other viewers think the same way though). If you could be a bit louder in the videos, it would be really great. Thankyou🙂
Thank you for your comment and patience regarding my video. When I recorded this, audio was rather a by-product and I didn’t know much about producing a visually and audible video but rest assured I know more now than before and my future videos should be better. 😊
Really helpful video, thank you very much Martin. Your genuine yet professional advice really helped me a lot get to know more on the Celta interview I'm now preparing. Cross fingers :)
wrong -when I got to the station I realized(Oxford spelling) I had left the tickets at home. It is such a shame that Oxford do not deal with all English courses and exams.
Hello Martin! You're doing a great job helping students who are interested in doing the Celta. I'm willing to apply for the course next month. I phoned the Center last week to ask them about the pre-interview task and they told me that I must finish it in 90 mins! Do you think 90 mins is enough for me to finish the tasks?
Where do you complete the pre-interview task? If it’s at home, how would the training centre know how long it took you? I think 90 mins is actually long enough if you have the resources to hand and also practise other material from websites. You will be fine and good luck.
same question ...they have a software when you download the task the counting starts you cannot see it before hand ...and afte r90 mins you have to submit the task
Thank you Martin. your video was very helpful. Right now I am preparing for celta course. I find difficulty in doing the phonology task. Can you tell me a way to better my understanding of phonology to accomplish this task?
i have a same question as Roniflex Yassine asked below....i applied for celta and due to corona virus it is online as as same question say that 90 mins will be given to complete the task ...they have a software when you download the pre interview task the counting starts you cannot see it before hand (the test) ...and after 90 mins you have to submit the task.. will 90 mins be enough at home so much distraction in quarantine
Yeah, I think that is fine as well. I was actually looking at the pre-interview task and I may have made a few mistakes but this was my genuine first attempt without looking at the paper beforehand. Hopefully, it was useful.
Perhaps not. I was doing the video live and I believe I had made a mistake. As many have mentioned the correct answer is: When I got to the station, I had realised that I had left the tickets at home.
ELT Experiences I mean some more questions to practice.. for teaching and leaning section.. the descriptive part I mean in which they say tell from your experience successful or unsuccessful experience and factors for that.. I’m asking for it as I have to appear in my pre task interview test of celta... I want to prepare beforehand
@@sobiamubashir1567 if the application is looking at successful and unsuccessful lessons, then they would like to see if you are able to reflect on your teaching. If you were unsuccessful, they would like to know what you had learnt from the experience and how you planned to do from the failure. They want to see that you are able to reflect but also learn from failure. During the course, you will have to be resilient as trainers will expect a lot from you and dealing with problems/failure is a necessary part of the course. For me, I gave an example of using online material (BBC Teaching English) for a successful lesson in getting students more aware of a variety of accents but I also told them that I could have set up the activity in a better way and staged it more coherently. Just think about your most successful lessons and your worst ones. If you haven't taught think about a lesson that your teacher taught which was successful and not so successful. I hope that helps. 😀
the descriptive question at the end which talks about the learning experiences...it says learning experience so i have to write that when i was a student this n this was my experience???? or is it talking about me being a teaching n my teaching experience ???
Thank you for such a detailed analysis.
But it's correct to say "I realized, I HAD LEFT ", but not " I had realized"
🤷♀

You are very welcome and thank you for your kind words.
Thank you so much for the video! Very comforting background :) I just got my pre-interview task yesterday.
I’m glad this video helped somewhat. Much appreciated.

Thank you, Martin! It is a really useful video 👍🏻!
Martin, thank you for a good breefing!

I DO share your point of view. 100% wrong
Wrong: Oxford does not
Realized (American English) / Realised (British English). Thanks for your contribution.
It's not "When I got to the station, I had realised..."
It's "... When I got to the station, I realised I had left the tickets at home"
Thank you! this was extremely helpful!
Make one more video with new question of CELTA.....it really is a great help
the most difficult part is the descriptive question in the end-teaching learning context.
I'm having my CELTA interview tomorrow. Wish me luck lol
Best of luck. You’ll do just fine. 😊

I have the interview on Monday! I'm so nervous, I don't know how I'd get through it.
Thank you Martin. your video was very helpful.
Right now I am preparing for celta course. I find difficulty in doing the phonology task. Can you tell me a way to better my understanding of phonology to accomplish this task?
Thank you for commenting. I will definitely make a video for the the phonology task for the CELTA.
Thankyou. This video is very helpful.

İs the Celta like the İLETS or TEOFL which has four parts of ghe exam?
superb
"I realised I had left it at home" is also okay?
Yeah, I think that is fine as well. I was actually looking at the pre-interview task and I may have made a few mistakes but this was my genuine first attempt without looking at the paper beforehand. Hopefully, it was useful.
I realised I had left it at home is correct. the previous answer does not make sense
but what he said makes no sense
👍
Which is the best Institute for Celta or which 1 would u recommend??
That’s a great question and I’ll answer this in a new video soon.
Would be waiting for ur video
Thank you very much. This video really helped me. I subscribed your channel with a pleasure.
Thank you for your kind words. I’m so pleased that the video helped.
Couldn't this sentence be correct?
When I arrived at the station, I realised I had left the tickets at home ?
Yep. That’s correct. 😊
when i got to the station , i realized i had left the tickets at home
can this be correct ???
Perhaps not. I was doing the video live and I believe I had made a mistake. As many have mentioned the correct answer is:

please answer to this question also
can you please provide list of sample questions of the last teaching learning section
Not entirely sure what you mean here. Can you clarify?

is it important to get this dictionary..is online oxford or merrium webster dictionary enough
An online dictionary is useful but I am a traditionalist. I like to have a dictionary to add and use it to add post it notes.
in workshop is work a stressed syllable...????
WORKshop. The word 'work' is stressed.
