Sandy, I LOVE your video's! I have searched what seems like a million vid's looking for easy to understand tutorials and yours is by far the best! Thanks!
Very helpful! I make tutus for my little models to wear in fashion shows and every time before the show starts, I have to get the moms to help me untangle the tulle.
You said about 1/2 Liquid Fabric Softener, half water,.. baby lotion how much? There was something you pushed into the bottle you said really helps but I couldn't tell what it was? Thank for these awesome tutorials!
hola Sandy muchas felicidades, me encantan tus videos. Me podrias decir cual es la marca de los productos que utilizaste para mantener el vestido?y en que tienda se consiguen?
Hello, you can use the google translator to tell me what product you use, I'm from Argentina and big fan of yours, thank you very much for sharing all your knowledge.
Joan's is pretty good but Theribbonretreat(.)com is better walmart's are good too if the tulle feels really scratchy or looks frayed on the side edges then its horrible and also if you look closely at the netting diamond shapes if they don't look like a perfect diamond shape then the tulle usually isn't that great. You can also feel the quality if it has a soft silkyish feel to it then its also good ;)
I thought I would be smart and spray a custom made tutu before I gave it to them with your solution and not a half hour after she got home with it she called and said she had to bring it back because she was allergic to the stuff I had sprayed it with. So caution about fragrance sensitive people. Lesson learned. But good tips.
Hi. Let me start by saying I LOVEA YOUR VIDEOS!. I was wondering if you have made a tutu dress with feathers or a boa lace?. Ive seen some beautiful ones done like that and I would REALLY love to learn how to make them.
Do you make your tutus with polyester or nylon tulle? I was told the polyester tulle was best and I ordered rainbow colors all in polyester and it is so scratchy and bunches up at every touch. I’m worried all of this work and money spent on my granddaughter’s unicorn dress will be a waste.
ohhh... so sad I'm watching this now =( ... I made one tutu dress for 3 year old (watching your tutorials) and at the wedding it was really annoying seeing the dress bunching up, I had to fix it every time she stand or sit =( ... anyway, thank you so much for sharing =D I'll do this definitely next time.
the tut is made from tulle fabric available in rolls or in bolt form. i find rolls easier to use because you dont have to cut into strips first but its more expensive that way. may be able to use chiffon also
I agree, I love her Tutu's n other videos are so helpful but basically it took her 6 mins 13 secs to say mix fabric softer and water 50/50 solution, add a little lotion mix well and spray n comb through the tutu. God bless her for sharing her gift and hopefully she appreciates the constructive criticism and ignores the mean ones. :)
how much tulle total did it take to make this skirt? and how many inches is it if you dont mind me asking. I got an order for a long dress for a 3 yr old and I am trying to estimate how much tulle I need
I wished I had found this before my granddaughter first birthday party yesterday. I made her party outfit and was upset and embarrassed that thetutu skirt bunched up.
Great video but there seems to be a part missing. When You said, "I know it sounds crazy but it helps"! It looks like you are putting something in the bottle. What is that added ingredient? Thanks in advance.
iihyna m disculpa mi atrevimiento pero puedes decirme cual es la razón por la que le pone estos productos, cual será el resultado, y otra cosa, el suavitel tendrá ese olor fuerte, de antemano te agradezco tu respuesta
Wouldnt it be so much easier to just spray it with static guard or any of the numerous anti-static products then messing around with old perfume bottles or buy spray bottles and mixing softener, lotion? lol Just whip out a can/bottle and spray! I prefer the pump type spray bottles over spray cans you know Ozone n all. :)
Its a DIY for those people who don't want to spend extra money when they have the supplies at home. It would be easier to just go out and buy what you need but then it wouldn't be a DIY.
+Joclyn Reed but many craters/seamstress who work with fabrics like this do keep static guard or similar fabric sprays on hand and while you are correct it is a good DIY tip for those who have fabric softer liquid form on hand. So is keeping a fabric treatment spray on hand so you don't have to go through the mess and use up work time for your project. Just consider my advice another tip vs a criticism. :)
+Joclyn Reed haha well guess what? I am making a tutu for 2 year old granddaughters BD party this wknd, finished Tutu and it's a tad stiff from the glitter tule I used and I went to get my fabric treatment and I'm all out, this diy would have been awesome had I had liquid fabric softener. Since I can't go to the store myself I have to send husband and he would never come back with right fabric spray so I am sending to pick up fabric softer instead and will be trying this after all, lol Post tomorrow sometime on how I liked it.
+Barbara Negron hey I agreed and thinking the same thing watching it before I scrolled down and saw the comments. It's not being rude, just honest....I NEVER did see her use the solution or maybe I missed it during a bored moment that I got up and refilled my coffee.
+Alessandria J (Baby Girl) Gosh.. Be nice. If your not happy with the way she talks move on. I mean really? Maybe you talk to fast or maybe your just rude.
Gosh Debra...LOL...IF you read my posting I made a point in saying I was not trying to be rude but found this to not be informative. Maybe you might read my posting again???????? LOLOL
+Alessandria J (Baby Girl) "Gosh" Alessandria, typing "it's not being rude" does not make your comment constructive and less harsh. Stupid way to end your comment by "I missed it during a bored moment that I got up and refilled my coffee". There YOU go. Maybe the one that needs to read AGAIN your comment and notice how rude it was is YOU.
Sandy, I REALLY appreciate all the tips you share with us through RUclips from shipping to stopping bunching up, your the best!!!!
Sandy, I LOVE your video's! I have searched what seems like a million vid's looking for easy to understand tutorials and yours is by far the best! Thanks!

hola Sandy muchas felicidades, me encantan tus videos. Me podrias decir cual es la marca de los productos que utilizaste para mantener el vestido?y en que tienda se consiguen?
Hello, you can use the google translator to tell me what product you use, I'm from Argentina and big fan of yours, thank you very much for sharing all your knowledge.

Thank you!! I'm happy that I am helpful!
thank you!!! :) love your videos by the way very helpful
Does it stay all straight at least for the day it's worn for?
Can I soak it in water and laundry softener?
Yes you could! just use cold or warm water not hot. Hang to dry
🤔Would this work for better coverage if u sprayed it BEFORE u cut it and attached it???🤷🏽♀️💟💟💟💟💟💟
Good tip but could have have done the entire video in under two minutes. It was painfully slow to listen to!!
I agree, I love her Tutu's n other videos are so helpful but basically it took her 6 mins 13 secs to say mix fabric softer and water 50/50 solution, add a little lotion mix well and spray n comb through the tutu. OH MY LORRRRDDD! I WAS ROCKING IN MY CHAIR WITH ANXIETY FROM THE SLLLOOOWWWWNESS.. had to leave this advice.. Next video....
how much tulle total did it take to make this skirt? and how many inches is it if you dont mind me asking. I got an order for a long dress for a 3 yr old and I am trying to estimate how much tulle I need
Does the Tulle from hobby lobby work ok? What kind of softener do you use?
This is a Brilliant Tip!! ACTUALLY! All of the Tips! TFS :O)
This doesn't make the tutu sticky or ruin the tulle? I'd be worried to spray it on the tulle.
This will also get the wrinkles out of dresses too

Would spray adhesive work to harden the tutu from balling up ?
Could you please do a tutorial on how to make your tutus so puffy
Great video but there seems to be a part missing. When You said, "I know it sounds crazy but it helps"! It looks like you are putting something in the bottle. What is that added ingredient? Thanks in advance.
She is talking about the lotion
Fabrics softener + baby lotions and water...
Looked like some sort of dryer sheets
That's what I was thinking also chiquita 284
it was fabric softer, water and lotion. that's it's.
Sorry, how many layers you use on the dresses thanks
Hi. What did you put inside when you said " I know it seems crazy but it works? Thanks alot
