Charles doing this against Shawn Kemp just showed what a beast he was. He had a motor that wouldn't stop. Granted, Kemp didn't really peak till about '96, but he was good at this point. Barkley was the best forward in the game at the time this game was played... and he was only about 6'5". This is back when men used to play in the NBA.

This playoff performance by Barkley never gets mentioned when lists are put together for greatest playoff performances of all time. How can a 44pts 24 rebound performance in a conference finals game 7 (To get to the Finals!) Not make any said lists? What's funny is you see LeBron James all up and down those types of lists, but I would put this performance up against any playoff performance in LeBron's career!! And furthermore..in game 5 of this same series, he had a 43pt, 15 Rebound, 10 Assists performance.. equally as impressive!

To be fair Roman made he work hard for those boards and points. In addition, chuck was a first option efficient and great scorer so there wasn’t as many boards to grab when Chuck shot.
That being said Dennis prevented Barkley from going off and taking over like he could when needed. Chuck was the type of player to go for 40 grab 20 rebounds, get a few steals and blocks if it was a must win game.

If it wasn’t for MJ, Charles would have definitely been an NBA champion. It took the greatest of all time and the Bulls to stop him.

We had court seat for Suns Hornets in 93. Barkley got into a fight. He was the baddest dude I have ever seen.

goddamn Barkley utterly dominated Kemp. Took and rebound from him then put him in the weight room disqualifying Kemp from the game. I forgot about this omg

George Karl was one of the most underrated coaches of that generation of the NBA. He was more offensive-minded than most other coaches and took those Sonics teams to pretty good records considering they never really had a definitive 3-point shooter or a big-time scorer on most of those teams.

THAT YEAR SUNS GOT THE BETTER RECORD 62-20 NEXT YEAR THE SONICS 63-19, VERY GOOD COUCH KARL, BUT LOST TO DENVER IN FIRST ROUND.
