Had he gotten the trade to Portland they would have won multiple championships rather than lose two finals. Sir Charles & Drexler with Jerome Kersey & Danny Ainge what a foursome.

@@adamsamuel8593 I agree 110% and dont forget about point gaurd Terry Porter. He was once an all star. Also him and Clyde Drexler had formed one of the best backcourts in the NBA at that time. Porter was a 17-20 ppg point guard that could give you 7-10 ast per game while shooting 40% from 3 ooint range. Very underrated point gaurd. At one time was an all-star and was an all-star caliber point gaurd. In this gaurd dominated era he would have a field day!!! But yes, that Portland Team was stacked.
Also image if Phoenix had a healthy Cedric Ceballos. Dude was sort of similar to Shawn Marion. You didnt need to run plays for him. He slashed to the rim and he always cut to the basket while Barkley would post up. His style of play complimented Barkleys half court game as Barkley would run the offense out of the post and kick out to shooters like Thunder Dan and Danny Ainge or find cutters cutting to the rim like Ceballos & Dumas. Imagine if Dumas didn't get suspended for the drug thing the following season? Richard Dumas was on the rise but he fell victim to the traps of having money and time on your hands even tho he had a wife & child. Having money, to much time on your hands and lousy bitches aka groupies and drugs and peer presure of the league can destroy great players on the rise.
Oh and don't forget how Stern rigged games for his school boy crush Jordan lol😂😂😂
Jordan was great, but he was also great for the league and NBC's ratings and the billiin dollar TV contract the NBA had with NBC. At the end of the day Jordan had to win. PERIOD POINT BLANK!!!
Stern was like Mullin, Ewing, Miller, Reggie Lewis, Drezen Petrovic, Malone, Stockton, Dominque Wilkins, Barkley FUCK YOUR LEGACY AND TAKE THE MONEY TO LOSE TO MICHEAL OR ELSE OR DIE...
Len Bias, Reggie Lewis and Drezen Petrovic & Roy Tarpley we're key players who was a threat to Jordan's legacy and Stern's script.
      Ask Tim Donohue...
I miss NBA 90's basketball but as I look back now as a grown man who thinks for himself who has evolved in his thinking I now realized this shit was scripted AS FUCK LOL!!!
So was the 80's except for the bad boys aka Detroit Pistons said fuck your script stern.
It was too much parity for the Bulls to win every year.
Yeah something in that milk ain't white lol😂😂😂
At the end of the day Magic, Bird, George "Ice Man" Gervin, Dominque Wilkins, Isiah Thomas, Doctor J and Moses saved the league in the 80's but Stern & Jordan made the game global and brought money into the league in the 90's.
Thats why at the end of the credits of a nba broadcast it doesn't say NBA Basketball it says NBA ENTERTAINMENT... get it ENTERTAINMENT!!! Scripted just like pro wrestling. And Im not even gonna get on Vegas and the Mob and also the illuminati's involvement in the NBA. Its all about ratings, money and big market teams AND YES I'M A PROUD CONSPIRACY THEORIST!!! Big corporations and the government call people who are on to their shit derogatory terms like conspiracy theorist but I've learn to embrace it and I DONT GIVE A FUCK!!! I'M A PROUD CONSPIRACY THEORIST!!!

Maybe my favorite basketball player of all time. Just so unique, versatile, and entertaining. Outstanding vision of the floor. When he put the ball on the floor on a fastbreak from (let's face it) usually his own rebound, it meant it was your ass There will never be a player quite like him. Jordan is arguably the best but you see his SG high-flying flaunty playstyle mimicked so much; he just did it better than anyone else. You can really see his (Barkley's) passion in the way he imposed his will on the game. He was raw heart in games and it's a crying shame that his lack of ring marks him as not having "the heart of a champion." Bullshit.

People have flat out forgotten the way this guy could do EVERYTHING in his prime. Take a look at how many times he carries the ball up court and runs the play or isolates, ultimately resulting in him scoring or an assist to another Suns player. He could be a point forward when necessary, but was always rebounding & scoring like a machine and finding a way to make his teammates better. I can't think of a better player to not have the fortune to win a championship. And having watched players like Barkley & Malone in their prime, I cannot see why Tim Duncan is the unanimous #1 PF of all time, it isn't that simple.

      @lp3860 2 года назад

No, just no. Suns were one of the top teams in the West for years. This was the perfect moment to get Barkley because Chambers somehow aged ten years in one summer, so Charles basically replaced him.
Suns would've beaten the Bulls in these Finals if it weren't for the unfortunate injuries to Ceballos and KJ. Ceballos couldn't play and Dumas was a nice off the bench player, but he wasn't even close to Ceballos, who could also guard Pippen. KJ played, but he was suffering from a late season knee injury and was playing at 50% at best. He couldn't penetrate at all, and a year later he was dunking on Hakeem in the playoffs.
The next two years it was Barkley who had injuries in the playoffs, and they lost to Houston twice because of that. Suns were unlucky, but they were a championship caliber team who just had injuries at the wrong time. This series also shows how large the gap is between franchise players and someone like Pippen. Scottie gets so much credit for being a great supporting player for MJ, but he wasn't even close to being at that franchise player level.

So how is that Barkley was only a legit 6'4 played mostly in post/paint yet rarely did u see him ever get his shot blocked. His timing & foot work was game

This wasn't the ginyu force era bro, everyone wasn't formulating super teams back then, if he were to join a great team like sonics/pistons/blazers etc & leave the Suns he would be considered pussy amongst his NBA comrades, he was already top ten in the league at that time, only Rodman quality like players were deemed OK to be on great teams cuz he was an offensive liability & he was a hothead..not too many teams wanted him anyway that's why Phil Jackson would let him party everyday to keep him happy

You could argue that Chuck’s Suns team was the best of the bunch to face MJ and the Bulls in the Finals. Personally I think better coaching for Phoenix or less HOF coaching for the Bulls and Suns probably win this series.

Everyone comparing Zion Williamson to this Charles is on point, a player with this dominance in the paint is needed in the nba again it’s become to much of a soft game...this game is rough af and I think if Zion brings this back...he will take the nba by storm...everyone says he needs a jump shot but no one is this dominant in the paint anymore even the “bigs” in the nba are not...looks like identical to his game and if he does this in the league today...it will be unstoppable given all the soft bigs that are prevalent today.

  • @Asavedlyfe

The NBA felt so authentic . Wth happened to our leauge. I use to LOVE watching these games. Now I have to listen to Draymond Green talk trash. It all feels narrated. Like a script teams are given before games. I dont need proof. I know when a game is scripted. I feel it in my bones because when it wasnt or was there was a STILL a element, a atom, a love, now its like watching talented magicians doing magic with the basketball like the Harlem globe trotters. The NBA has been a circus the pass 20 years. The individual players that understood that like the 1996 draft class kept it entertataining.

I just feel bad for Charles...he put up such great games that season, but ran into this undeniable monster called the Bulls.
MVP of the year, game winner against San Antonio, then a 7th game in the WCF against Seattle with 44/24 (which he calls the best game of his life) and this triple double game...just got overshadowed by MJ's 41.0 ppg in the Finals.
He would have a chance the following two years, but Phoenix seemed to be the wrong place to be for winning a ring.

This is how broadcast quality was back then. All that grainy footage that you see in other vids is just the tape getting worn out over time. It doesn't take long, either, a few years maybe. This here is how it was broadcasted. I tell my kids that all the time: we did have color tv lol. It was the same thing, just not digital. And I ain't never take a picture with a black and white camera but more and more I see people sharing 90s footage in black and white lol. Like, where the hell did you get that?!?! Just keep that in mind. Eventually the media will turn today's era black and white too. It's a little trick historically used to divide generations.
In terms of the game, Charles was great, but believe it or not this was the one where MJ dropped 55 (!). It's good to see everyone in their prime here. Those were good days. Peace.

C'mon, the matter of rings has nothing to deal with how naturaly skillful and out standing Chuck was in His prime. To be able to pick as outstanding all star without even having a ring, in 90's is such a great milestone a legend could have. Men, I better choose having no ring but will remain as rated than having a couple of ring without even being noticed or joining a team for it to have one.
