To say that this was a hell of a series is an understatement. Jordan AVERAGED 41 for this series. The triple OT thriller in Chicago. The iconic NBA on NBA presentation by Marv Albert and Mike Fratello. The Paxson 3 pointer, the Grant block to save it. This was a great time to be a fan of the NBA.

And the fact that the Bulls took the first two games on the road and everyone thought the series was over, but the Suns (having already come from 2 losses at home to win their first round series against the Lakers), actually won two of three in Chicago to retake home court advantage.
And of course, the fact that Michael Jordan set an all-time NBA Finals record with 55 points (that still stands to this day 27 years later) in Game 4 to give Chicago a commanding 3-1 series lead right when it looked like Phoenix might be about to mount a comeback.
Either way, I agree. One hell of a series, and one hell of a playoffs that year!

@@mazdakmina9493 I've seen interviews with Barkley where he said the Suns were shocked at the start of the series, the butterflies. I could see that being true because that Bulls team was in their 3rd straight finals and before that had made the ECFs the 2 years before that. It was an experienced team with an experienced coach. Westphal was inexperienced at the time. That's awesome the 55 still stands today being how much scoring has increased. Have you seen the videos where Barkley talks about this finals loss and says it was like someone in his family dying? He got pretty deep.

He does, the Bulls getting eliminated by the Magic with Kukoc as the starting PF proved how important that position is when it comes to going deep in the playoffs. The Rockets that same season were the only team I can think of that won a championship without having a PF, it showed just how impactful Dream was in the paint for them to overcome that huge disadvantage.

That's exactly why Horace left for Orlando two years later. Even on his own team he didn't get any credit. The year the Bulls won 55 without Jordan, Scottie got all the credit. Horace was a huge reason they got 55. He was basically a two-headed monster with Kukoc.

I'd have to say your right. They walked all over the show time Lakers for their first. Portland did a little better but not by much. Sonics, meh. Jazz fizzled by the 2nd time they met in the finals. And if the Suns had just won at least one of the first two home games, they very well could have pulled off the finals victory against the Bulls. In my mind, they were SO CLOSE!!! Even with this game 6, if they had just made a few different decisions and Bulls not get as lucky, they would have won this Game 6 and possibly the game 7 which would also had been in Phoenix.

8:39 - I was wondering how BJ Armstrong fell. I saw it out of the corner of my eye when Paxson shot the game winner and though somebody pushed BJ. Naw, he fell on his own. LOL.

What am I watching this defense is absolutely horrible. Every single time someone put up a shot no one was even near the person. People hype up these days like everyone was a lockdown defender

Y'all know good well that Barkley Kevin Johnson wasn't good enough to beat Jordan and pippen bulls they were good enough to complete against the bulls but wasn't a great team to beat the bulls for the NBA championship in 1993.

Exactly dudes be comparing Charles Barkley & Kevin Johnson to Duncan, Parker, Manu w guys like Bowen, Finley, and Mcydess and the goat coach.. Jordan ain’t play a team who’s 3rd or 4th best player was the caliber of Kawhi.

The same kawhi who averaged 17 pts for a finals mvp and the same kawhi who always getting injured. Kawhi wouldnt survive in the 90s@@jazzroyale7260

The better team doesn't always win. That's what happened here. Had Cotton stayed on as coach we would certainly have won. Westphal just wasn't ready and it cost us. And two of the all time greats, Barkley at small forward and KJ, possibly the greatest scoring point guard of all time, they end up retiring without a ring. So sad.

@@hectorlopez1069 I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan. (So, I got to see Armstrong KILL my teams, but also fortunately beat the Suns, who I hate). I shot some BJ Armstrong 3-pointers at shootaround at the health club!
