Another renaissance girly here - so glad I found your channel, Adama ✨️ I especially agree with "being bored." Instead of mindlessly scrolling on social media and absorbing other's content, I've embraced boredom and found a new fount of creativity! 🌷
Your voice is so soothing😍😍. Btw, I feel some people try to avoid being bored to prevent their mind from wandering towards sad thoughts that could lead them to depression 😅
I plan to get each of the books you mentioned that I don’t already have. (PS: I need you to post a makeup tut, babe. You’re gorgeous and your look just goes perfect with you.)
Hair too!! I love how she presents herself and how professional she looks. The girlies need her to spill the tea, presentation is also an important thing for us to learn!
@@briar.roseOG YESSS!! If she could go into how our presentation impacts our progress and productivity in life while doing a hair and makeup tut the girlies would be invested I think.😌
Loved this video! So insightful and full of gems! "Being more bored"... YES YES AND YES!!! My best days are honestly the ones where I'm not doing anything in particular, just free flowing. I feel like I can hear God more, and my thoughts are clearer. And I can appreciate the small things. When I go walking with no phone or not destination where I'm truly just bored and enjoying my own space. "Knowlegde is not power but potential".. another FAVORITE. We live in a werid time where information is so easily consumed and it becomes too much. I feel like none of us are good at anything anymore because we can consume sooooo muchhhh alllll at once!! None of us use knowlegde for good anymore these days! This was a good video and I'm sure I will double back to it!
Honestly, I’m at a stage in my life where nearly all of these apply to me. Some I’ve already heard of but the superior/inferior tip is actually so deep. That’s one of the ways I motivate myself to keep striving for excellence since I KNOW this is not my final form lol. I can feel it in my bones so that’s why I continue to take action no matter how difficult it can be. Thank you again for another beautiful video Adama ♥️
All of the points you made are so refreshingly true. I love your take on self help in this video because the points are actually critical and unconventional. Thank you for sharing as always Adama!
I appreciated this video a lot especially the last tip. I tend to scavenge for valuable tips and things I can use to be a better student or find internship opportunities, but I never get around to actually using them. Hopefully this time around I'll actually make an effort to apply it. Thank you for the video :)
I’ve only just recently subscribed to your channel and this advice resonates so soundly with me. I truly appreciate the platform and community you’ve created, I actually found you because I wanted to start oil painting, but I stayed because of your work. I’ve been in a bit of a slump lately with my last year in undergrad and I’ve just been let go after a year at an internship at a very inconvenient point. I let myself mope and I’m trying to find the positives, I was able to learn so much, a year at an internship was already a blessing, and this experience got my foot in the door to the industry I was hoping to enter. I was let go just 2 weeks before the next school year, and while I would’ve loved to stay part time like I did last year, I’m trying to take advantage of the new opportunities that this will inevitably open up. I let myself mope for a few days, decided to enjoy my last bits of summer before classes start up again, pick up hobbies I’ve been putting off, and put myself out there in terms of job search and I just submitted my first application less than 30 minutes ago haha. I think deep inside these are things I know I should be doing, but to have someone older and more experienced reiterate and emphasize the importance of taking control in your life is so reassuring and I just feel like I’m going to be okay. So thank you so much for creating this channel and sharing your journey with us!😊
Thank you so much for being so honest here! These things happen and you're allowed to feel sad but I think you've approached it so well. You've seen that you now have a year of industry experience which is a lot more than most people have at the point of graduating (I sure could have done with that). You sound like you're doing tremendously well and I implore you to remember that. It doesn't hurt to be reminded of these things, it's why I continue to read and seek out mentors online myself. I wish you all the best on your return to classes and with your hobbies (did you start oil painting?) Nonetheless, you're welcome and thank you for watching with an open mind 😊
“Addition is not synonymous with improvement”…😫💯that’s a bar! I’m gonna marinate on that. It’s interesting, I felt the same way while doing my skincare routine also lol. As well as taking all these supplements to improve my health 😒lol. Not saying there’s no value at all, but for me…there really wasn’t. All these “that woman” and “glow up” routines…eh, it became excessive for me.
I have to remind myself of this so often! Trust me my skincare is like 2 products in the morning and 3/4 at night and its miles better than the 15 million step routine I was doing 😂 I agree there's a level of excess thats definitely being normalised which is unfortunate but it just falls on us to work out what we need for ourselves and forget the rest. Thank you for your reply 🤎
I love your content but your camera in this video seemed to focus on the mic and not on you. Just thought I'd let you know (or it's just my phone idk😅) ❤
No, you're right! It happened in the last two videos as I've introduced the mic again. I spent some time changing my settings though so should be good moving forward. Thank you for letting me know ❤️

do you read the physical copy of these books or audiobook versions??
I read the physical copies or get it on my kindle. I’m not a big fan of audiobooks tbh
