Such a valuable video! I don’t often promote books, but the book women’s magic truths on borlest is an exception. It’s packed with insights on wealth and self-care that are not widely known. All the best to everyone
Putting yourself in the right room EVEN if it means spending your own money. Omg this came at the perfect time omg. Adama, keep this up. I’ve commented a few times now because I’m binging your videos. These are SO good. -32 year old financial consultant
7:28 I needed to hear that, I’ve always been so good at science and hidden the parts of me that I actually loved just because they weren’t science. I studied Civil engineering but I love makeup, content creation and marketing and denying myself my creativity side actually made me collapse and eventually ended up dropping out from Civil engineering because I mentally couldn’t handle the inner conflict. I’m currently learning how to embrace both sides of me❤️
It’s crazy because I’m 25 and am realizing the same I wish I would’ve just listened to older people when I was 20 but sometimes you just gotta learn urself I guess 😂😭
I always say do it even when you second guess yourself. I started my Yt channel like that. started my LinkedIn posts like that......I saw how people believed me which gave me more confidence. Also tell yourself out loud, 'I deserve x and I am working towards it'
My biggest blocker is not wanting to join all of these seminars, workspaces and shops just to be able to meet people to get a new job. I am just very introverted and don’t find a lot of fun out of small talk or what feels like kissing ass just to get an ounce of extra notability. I just feel like I’m always putting on a mask when it comes to work and it feels so ingenuine and draining.
I feel you. Though I do feel like it’s less about performing and more about not being afraid to take up space and show people what you have to offer. I’m introverted too but I want to go take what I want out of life instead of waiting for it.
I see you. And I totally understand where you're coming from because I used be like that, and I still kinda am. For me I discovered that it was just a limiting belief. Also, like @theselflovemuslimah said, I was not comfortable taking up space and being perceived. My journey to overcoming the limiting beliefs started with coaching, kinda like therapy, where I learned various things to change my mindset, and to self regulate. In a month's time I had already seen significant improvement. I'm still a work in progress, but I now have the right frameworks that help me find confidence from within, and shut down limiting beliefs when they come up. I wish you all the best on your journey, and that you end up finding out what works for you.
real, I explained this to a friend and they found it hard to understand why talking to people I don't want to just to get an opportunity felt like ass kissing. Every forced laughter and questions about someone's life feels so in-genuine. Every time Im interacting with people in this type of instance it feels like i have to put a mask on and perform and hope someone likes my performance enough to put a coin in my hat :(
I also have this block. A Public Speaking coach I had gave great advice regarding this discomfort with Networking. Be interested in the other person and keep in mind that you can benefit them as well. When you know people you can bring two people together for a project they need done or an opportunity. They can also do this for you it a synergistic relationship, just take more interest in people beyond the work basically!
Hi Adama!! I just rediscovered your channel! I think I’ve been subscribed for over a year now but am now just deep diving more into your content, and boy would I say I rediscovered you at the perfect time. I’m loving all of your videos, even your older ones, and they just are such a positive addition to my life right now. I’m 20 1/2, and I’m all about focusing in my 20s and using my youth/time to the fullest! 🎉Love love love all of your content ❤❤
I've had this video downloaded for more than a week now, but didn't feel the NEED to watch it. Today, I decided to watch it and I must admit, I NEEDED the information and lessons from this content today more than I would've, had I watched from the start. Thank you so much, Adama, for sharing this valuable tips with us. Love you❤
Im grateful that ur video popped up✨! Im 19 and I feel lost and sometimes feel like im missing a lot, like I feel that time is just going so fast and im not doing what I want to do.
I'm a big fan Adama 💗💗💗 The part about embracing the arts AND science! It was such a battle of mine for so long but I'm finally seeing how they can be balanced and in some cases, complement each other!
This ain't no open letter to yourself... it's one to your younger sibling rught here..Thank You so much for this❤... I'm 21 and you just gained a subscriber❤
your videos and energetic presence are so reassuring, calming, and encouraging! I feel more productive in a motivated way, not a stressed out, urgent type of way. Thank you
@@AdamaLorna unlike my profession I think I would do it again. It's a creative job especially for femininity. You get to want to look good and be softer as first in line
Love this video! Can you speak more about failure in terms of learning and sharing in public? I agree that it’s hard to get over! Public speaking has been a problem area for me over the years.
Yep, a Godsend really. I needed this video. Ive been contemplating going back to my barista job or continuing as a jobhunter in my career field. Plus the louis comment😅..ive been called out. I havent acted on it but the thoughts have been there.
I wasn’t going to comment, but I just got an ad as you were talking about having hobbies outside of work and school, just to nurture the soul, and the ad I got was saying “if you have a child in 6-12th grade…blah blah blah… if they’re doing hobbies outside of school trying to get into college (something like that). Don’t. It’s a complete waste of time.” Idk, I just found that funny and realize there’s so many false advertising out there.
Amazing content in this video! I rarely suggest anything in comments, but the book women’s magic truths on borlest is a game-changer. It provides deep knowledge on wealth and self-care that can really make a difference. Take care, everyone
This was such a good video. even tho im 29! Any advice for someone who feels so late behind in life? only one job in my career so far, and im trying to apply to a new one, but it feels impossible to land an interview and obtaining new skills and new ways of leveling up.
I just found your channel and I love your insights and advice! I was wondering, what made you decide to start your RUclips channel? I’ve always been shy of it because it takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there and share your stories. I also worry because I currently work in the tech/legal fields and older generations always are telling me to have a minimal social media presence. How did you navigate that?
To add to the one dimension, I’m artist, I have degree in GD and have a plethora skills under the “Art” category, how one get into the math/science spaces/skills ? I do like math how do I explore this into a skill?(I do have the mindset as you said I can’t do science etc etc )
@7:35 What if its the other way around? I'm more into the arts, whether it be fine arts, language arts, etc, but I feel like math and science isnt for me. How can one improve or maybe even be inspired to tap into the sciences and mathematics?
The way I usually do this (though it’s different for everyone!) is I try to find something that makes me curious about it, or to find an aspect I like enough about it that I might want to learn more. Sometimes just sitting with the topics and getting to know the subjects can help! (I’m a writer, so when I’m unsure about a subject I try to think of a book idea related to it that I’d research for, and that usually helps me want to learn more and approach it with more interest.) (maybe see if there’s something about science or math that you could use in your art! I like using formulas and experiments in mine to simplify projects I see as daunting)
I hate videos like this because it makes us seem like we are behind in life and like we can turn back time EVERYTHING HAPPENS WHEN ITS SUPPOSED TO AT THE TIME IS SUPPOSE TO , EVERYONE IS GONNA MAKE MISTAKES , NOBODY IS PERFECT.
This video isn’t about being perfect it’s about sharing things I’ve learned.. nobody, including me, is without faults. The idea is to take what’s useful and leave the rest. However, you reserve the right to ‘hate’ videos like this 🤷🏽♀️
It’s shocking how Women’s Magic Truths on Borlest isn’t being discussed. The book is full of life-changing insights, yet no one seems to notice. Time to break the trance and read it yourself!
Hey Adama, i tried contacting you on TikTok but I got hit by scammers pretending to be you. I tried purchasing your course but teachable is not allowing. Payment keep failing. I need help and I need the course.
Why don’t ya’ll use capital letters in the titles and especially leaving “i” common? Curious as to if it’s just a being lazy thing or did they stop teaching the younger generation how to write English?
