Pro tip for assembling anything on a deck- a drop sheet prevents screws, nuts etc from falling through the gaps in the boards. Don't ask how I know this.
Ordered twice now from Lowes, both times the box and contents arrived damaged, the store was supposed to order another new one but instead after no communication we called the store only to find out they kept the grill there and ordered the replacement parts and were going to assemble it "for" us. We realize it could be a shipping issue but decided to get our money back and just order it directly from Weber. We'll see how it goes this time. Can't wait to get it fired up!
@@lldavid4816 I've been using Weber performers for about 12 or so years and still love them. Some great accessories available like the cast iron wok. As for flare ups and such, use your head. These are best on concrete or stone like any grill. I use mine on a wood deck but keep it well clear off any walls and it is on heavy rubber grill mats in case any sparks fall out. Also you don't need any firestarters as that 1lb propane bottle gets your charcoal lit very quickly.
@@lldavid4816 sorry, I'm afraid I don't know. I'm just a guy who built my grill. I'm sure if you go to weber.com or just google your question, someone has probably done a comparison article or video. Good luck.
sai krishna I'm not sure what the dimensions were. As you can see, it is a sizeable box. I don't know what type of car you drive, but I don't think the box would get through the back door of a standard sedan. If it was me I would either put it in the trunk and tie the lid down or you could always unpack the box and put the pieces in your car one at a time. I ordered mine from Amazon and the FedEx guy brought it to my deck. (Always be nice to the people that deliver things to you...) 🙂
there is no way you can even get this in a standard size sedan. I had to hire a local courier service to get it home from the store where I got it as I didn't know anyone with a truck
Hey im currently building one but the part where you screw the leg brackets on, one of them is missing the threads. How can I screw if there are no threads? Example of where im stuck is at 1:40
I bought one a couple of months ago, intimidated about assembling, your video gave me confidence to to do the assembly myself! THANK YOU
I just went through this process the other day. What a gratifying process for an amazing grill!
That is one very VERY beautiful grill...Worth every penny!
Padrisimo, felicidades..!! Después una buena cerveza, muy bien.!!

A very good tip Glenn. I found that out when I replaced a headlight on my bicycle.
Mike assembled our Weber too. Highly recommended.

Very helpful, thank you.
Are you happy 5 years later ?
Very happy. This is my second Weber Performer. Had to leave the first one when I moved.
It is dangerous to use a charcoal barbecue ? Fear about fire ups

Hi. What are the dimensions of the box? Trying to figure if I can fit this in my Sedan!

I got the box through my 2011 Hyundai Sonata, it was tight but it went in, a little tougher coming out though.
@@jayedeveraux not true we fit this box in the back of my Corolla. Just purchased and excited to use.

Gac951 wow no one answered two options get a screw at the other end or call Weber that a manufacturer defect
Looks like I got the steps right…I guess I’ll find out when they fire it up and either grill up some steaks or burn our house down.
Mine came assembled. Floor model at a huge discount from the PX.
