It's a bit unorthadox; however, why not see how the future face of your franchize fares side-by-side to his peers? He's going to be paid as a top executive and determine the direction of the team for the next decade or more, correct? Even better if you can get on field and in the locker room samples of what he brings to the table. To me it seems like Mike is carrying anger over from the Dan Snyder era, and he continues to refer to the team as dysfunctional. He gets a distasteful look on his face whenever he comments on this team for any reason. This is just haters hating. His agent should have posted a 💰instead of a 🤔
The Commands are getting criticized for doing something different than the NFL status quo when evaluating QBs, because the current way the NFL drafts QBs is clearly working lol. There’s like a 33% hit rate on QBs taken in the first round. If you failed a test with a 33% it’s prudent, not ill advised, to change the way you go about studying. Same thing here

Trey Lance being injury prone and lucking into Brock was the reason that didn’t work.
Adam was assistant GM he responsible for 3rd-7th which most there team is made of, including Fred Warner, Greenlaw and many others.
Dan Snyder made us a bad franchise for years to put that jacket on Josh is dumb. I just spent 6 billion for a team I’m going to at least see who we will potentially draft.
Here’s an idea. Get off your couch and do your own analysis and get your own experience, or go back to your lounge chair opinions.
@@terencebarnes7393 As a 49er fan I agree with your main point-Kyle Shanahan has friends in the media that refuse to assign him any blame or culpability in the Lance saga. And it is interesting to see how certain franchises get favorable treatment. Kyle managed to convince the world that Lance is "injury prone" after he broke his ankle on a designed QB run up the middle that Shanahan called. Many fans were sounding the alarm about Kyle's dumb usage of his young QB prior to that game, as Trey was averaging like 14 rushes per game in his previous starts, and then the obvious outcome happened. Purdy blew out a ligament in his throwing elbow and no one ever dared to call him "injury prone." Funny how that happens, almost like these people in media like to repeat whatever their "best friend since college" want them to say...
@@CJStew06Lance was drafted because of his run play ability, if he could't stay fit when those types of play calls came along, then it was correct for Kyle to trade him.
Kyle was 'lucked' his way into drafting Kirk Cousins in DC. So it is not as if he is the worst drafter in the league.

The Owner, GM and head coach have already had multiple meetings, dinners and sit downs with all of these QBs individually on multiple occasions they have had more than ample time with all of these individual QBs for individual one on ones…
So it’s not like they haven’t talked to any of these guys before and then the first and only time they are speaking to them is in this group format…If that was the case then I would see the point that they are trying to make here…But the simple fact is that is not the case here at all…
They have had more than enough one on one individual meetings, dinners and sit downs with each individual QB so the fact the final time they bring them in they bring them in together is not really a big deal at all…You can certainly try to make it a big deal by taking it out of context and use it as clickbait to make a story and video about it to juice up your likes and subscribers because this NFL draft process is unnecessarily long and you eventually run out of things to talk about so you take a simple non story and try to turn into one…
In actuality it’s quite embarrassing for these two guys and this brand they represent…

Micheal penix is the horse that can turn a franchise around immediately.
The only other 1st round QB in 1994 was Trent Dilfer. There really wasn't another notable QB drafted that year. There was an undrafted guy who went on to some acclaim. His name was Kurt Warner.
We are looking for a leader of men. you put 4 alpha's in the same room and 1 will stand out above the rest. We know by their tape what their skills are and this position is a crap shoot to predict

In the end, if the result is right, then the process will look right. If they take the wrong guy or don't develop him properly, then it won't matter how they do it.
Personally, if I had the #2 pick in the draft, I'd want as much time as possible with every player that I might realistically draft in that spot. If that's 3 QBs, then I'd like 6 hours with each one.

If J. Daniels to really too insecure to be worried about a dinner with the “competition” and to stupid to realize he is risking giving up millions of dollars to fall to the third pick, I think Washington should find someone else to play quarterback. If Simms wants to watch a quarterback who "can't throw good," he should watch his own NFL tape.

Much to do about nothing. I think it’s brilliant what they did. They combined all of the players and interviewed them separately. You get to see them in a group setting and next to one another. Other teams might start copying this model. Where else can you see them in a laid back atmosphere around other players and then see the position groups next to each other in an environment you created?
Everyone says it's overblown, but what is the point and what is the benefit? Of course you can do it, but to what end? They are not in the same room at the same time, so to do this way is odd. I just would like to know what advantages this provides that the coroporate world hasn't tapped into. As an HR Manager, this is not a normal process, I assure you. You may see fellow candidates in passing, maybe in the waiting area with separate interview times. Not like this.

You know something. That very last line that Mike spoke says it all. A lot of people want to give Adam Peters credit for drafting Brock Purdoy. But he was also in some capacity for the team moving up that year to draft Trey Lance. Coaches those decisions. GMs and owners do. Especially that type of draft capital. So at some point he was in the war room with the other people in charge smack in the middle of making that decision.

Trey Lance doesn't deserved to be dragged through the mud like this-he got four starts, only two of which were back-to-back starts, and frankly he wasn't even that bad. He looked like a raw quarterback in development. His stats were fine, the team went 2-2 in his starts, and the biggest point: EVERYONE said before the draft that if you take Lance, you have to let him play. He won't improve on the bench. The 49ers sabotaged that pick and Kyle Shanahan has enough friends and clout in the media that everyone just goes with the line that "Kyle's a genius and Trey must suck." Even if Lance never pans out, that was a bullshit operation by Shanahan and it's ugly that a 21 year-old has to be the face of the coach's incompetence.

Then I’d take him to the nice house I’m renting for him, just until he gets settled in. He’d meet my smokin’ hot daughter if I had one, Ala Ricky Bobby. Then I’d draft him and quit f---g around.
