The guy literally “makes sense” of JJ not having gaudy throwing numbers by acknowledging Jim Harbaugh’s system, then says he can’t make sense of why JJ doesn’t have gaudy throwing numbers. Anytime Michigan needed JJ to throw, he came through for them.
He didn't throw much in college, because he didn't need to. And when he had to, his numbers are fantastic. Plus, he's 21. He'll have 3 years of NFL coaching and experience to get to the same age as Bo Nix and Michael Penix.
Getting a guy with a strong arm to let up a little is a good "problem" to have. Also, there is way more to being a winning QB than just flinging the ball downfield. 27-1 with a National Championship doesn't happen with an average QB.
Why does no body look at the difference in how many times Michigan threw it on 3rd downs and look at the conversion rate on that. We don’t know if he can carry a team on his back look at the actual tape smfh
@@MrDavidknigge it seems like the Vikings had McCarthy over penix on there big board but I will say broncos kind of got screwed by the falcons and their utter stupidity
This is a perfect example of a nonsense take. Throwing only 12 times? He threw for 13 or less times only twice and under 20 in four games. The penn state game the o line couldn’t block their pass rush. 12 times a game JT? Why do yall make up lies to try and drive home your point. This is ridiculous analysis
PFF hate JJ 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 watch and weep guys. When JJ succeed i come back and tell you guys. JJ plays qb the hardest way by passing only on obvious passing down. Def pin your ears back and go.
He only thew 12-15 times because the running game was so good. If you can get 4 yard a carry and they can't stop it why change that? When they needed 3 and long JJ always got a 1st. Plus by the time it's the 3rd or 4th quarter Michigan would be up 2 TDs or more so why throw it? Run the ball because no one could stop it + keep the clock going so the opponent now has to stop not only the run game but not the clock.
@@NamelessViking01 that’s no going to be the case now. Detroit , GB and now CHI can all score, JJ won’t be able to keep up and you can’t even say that’s not true because we haven’t seen it.
@Smartriide the vikings with the 4th string QB dropped 400 on the lions at the end of the season and was only 1 TD away from winning the game 2 weeks before. If that's not keeping up idk what is
@Smartriide it went like this kirk (hurt) > Jaren Hall ( 2nd drive hurt due to a concussion replaced by dobbs) > dobbs ( benched after 3 games) > nick mullens (benched) Jaren hall ( benched after 1st half vs green bay) > mullens to end the year. College is a lot easier then NFL and dobbs was average to good in college.
I love the way jj drops back, he creates room for him to navigate the pocket, something you can't coach.
Wouldn’t surprise me if JJ is the best QB in this draft over the next 10 yrs !
Viking 🟣🟡💪🔥
Caleb Williams and Drake Maye felt like they had to carry their team... ok, but they didn't. Those teams were average.

And this is why you guys can’t evaluate QBs. You make up reasons to dislike some guys and to like other guys.
right....like CJ failing that cognitive exam !
It all depends on where he goes. He has the talent but good coaching and team structure helps.

So JJ didnt throw at PSU and Maryland because JJ got hurt by the PSU rush early on.

Not enough bubble screens and RPOs...
Broncos need to make it happen.
Seems like they didn’t have the ammo for it
@@Succubusythey may not have needed it if ATL hadn't picked Penix.

What if Commanders turns this draft upside down and somehow drafts JJ?

Tough eval?! If you can’t see how great he is going to be within about 15 plays, maybe soccer is your sport!!

JJ overrated
Nobody cares what you think, because you are nobody… 🤫
It’s a reason why he only throws 12 to 15 times a game 😂😂😂😂, Minnesota GM getting fired 😂
