Big shout out to you JJ McCarthy for making us U of M alumni & fans so very proud to be a Michigan Wolverine; Go Blue! What a spectacular year it was!🏆〽️ Wishing you all the best as you start the next chapter in your football career. May it be a long & successful one and that you end up where you want be.🎉🏈
Coming from a die hard Ohio State fan, I have mad respect for this guy, what a tremendous young man, always classy, humble yet extremely confident, what impressed me the most is he has a big heart of a champion that led the Michigan team to win the title. I wish him nothing but the best in his pro career.
Of course bro, as painful as it is for me to watch we lost The Game 3 years in a row, I have to tip my hat to this Michigan team, they won fair and square. JJ’s ability is very underrated under the Harbaugh system, but I remember every big play he executed perfectly in that 8 minute drive, man it’s so close and I’m still butthurt 😂 but at the end of the day I love the sport and I appreciate these young men who make this sport so fun to watch.
the two, that’s the nicest thing i’ve ever heard a buckeye say about anything michigan in my entire life, & i started going to games in 1967 when i was 6, our 2nd yr in a2 (from ny)!
@@tomdickandharry7024haha it’s a great rivalry that naturally brought a lot of hatred toward each other. I’m just appreciating the players and the game itself, and of course my favorite players are Buckeyes but I also respect and enjoy watching great players even those wearing maize and blue.
Winning the natty was the best, but my favorite moments of the 23 season was JJ leading that final drive down the field in the Rose Bowl to tie it up and send it to OT. That was so fing legendary! And then, of course, Blake's OT TD run. Both were unbelievable. Go fing Blue!!
Yep!! The Natty was great. But the Rose Bowl (playoff game) victory over Bama, Nick Saban, and the SEC will live in my heart forever. My two favorite victories in the last three years are the Rose Bowl and the 2022 Ohio State game at the Shoe.
@bob8144 Heck yeah! That 2022 win at the ugly shitshoe was so gratifying! The look on the suckeyes fans in the stadium when the Don hit the the 75 then the 85 yard TD run was just so classic! Loved it!
One of the best interviews I have ever seen, period. Nothing special but both of you! I as a Dad can relate, wow! My Boy! Ugh...as a devout Wolverine fan, my heart is full after watching this. thanks guy! Go Blue!
This guy could sell me a winter coat on a hot summer day. You can see why he has always been a winner. Very happy my Vikings drafted him and wishing him a ton of success.
Damn… that kid is so full of confidence. I rarely watch these interviews because half the time it is like pulling teeth, yet conversation comes so easily to him and what he says is actually interesting.
It amazes me how these really young kids are so freaking polished in the media now. I don't watch college football so I can't speak to his on field performance, but I now see why his draft stock went up. JJ probably has the best in person discussions and interview process. The NFL is hard for young QBs, but he at least seems to have the mentals in place to have a fighting chance to be good.
Many are, but then there are the guys that say, mmmhummm, yes sir, yes sir, you know what I'm sayin, mmmhummm. It's funny how many of those guys I mentioned also are the ones that end up with things like gambling violations, speeding incidents, abuse allegations. Maturity is clearly a big part of being successful at the next level.
He's got the right attitude, it will come down to what team takes him. I don't see him as the savior type, as the guy that's going to quickly elevate a team and turn things around for a bad team. I see him as a solid prospect, given his situation he lands in.
If I’m an NFL owner, one of the factors in my urging my GM to select this young man is his vibrant personality that will manifest itself strongly on the field among his teammates; not to mention his marketability off the field that will surely strengthen the team brand!
So proud of JJ. I’m so happy our kids won it all but I’m way more happy and proud of their character and the type of first class men they are. GO BLUE 〽️
@ajpierre the defense might be better this year, back to the playoffs is more like it. The Buttguy Killer Donovan Edwards will take care of the offense...
Time flies you are getting drafted one day and the next day you don't have a career anymore, so enjoy and live the moment, but more than anything glory to God for these moments.
I like JJ and not just cuz he finally brought Michigan back to a level of real respect. You can tell the work he put in cuz he's twice as big as he was when he first was playing at Michigan lol. His upside is really high because he hasn't had the opportunity to just throw like the nfl does and I know he will keep growing. He does win, I do think working on that lob pass will help for sure. God bless family ❤🌈💗
JJ, Blake, Sainristil, and the rest of team 144s names will be echoed throughout Schembechler Hall for 100 years. "I heard Blake Corum...", "Remember when JJ..." They will become mythological figures like Woodson, Desmond, Old 98, Bo, etc. And rightfully so. Best team I've seen in my 40 years.
@YungLilBoii Yes, and I go back to the Bump Elliott years, right before Bo. Many people said Team 144 was as close to an NFL team as a college team could be. I agree.
Yeah this kid’s got a great personality, I see what these GM reports were saying. I just hope he can handle QB in the NFL as well as he handles interviews
JJ didn't have the weapons at wr like former UM QBs had either. Not taking anything away from Roman but imagine if he had a WR like Braylon Edwards or David Terrell.
JJ, We're gonna love you here with the Vikings, but Can You Get Past the Minnesota Curse? is the question 🤷 I've been a Viking fan for 45 years and been let down😢 but now, hopefully, the " Pieces are in place"😅 May be awhile before you actually start so everyone calm down 🫶🤞
Rich Eisen, damned glad to meet you. Both Cooper DeJean and I wanted to refer you to our hair stylist that'll have a nutrafoll infused program tailored for you. Personally, I would have gone with Jesse James. If the QB gig doesn't work out, I see Televangelism in your future.
I'm surprised he went in the first round I had him going in the 3rd. But he landed in a great spot. Chuck it up to j.j and you can't go wrong. He's got a genius head coach 3 stud w.r. he's set! Year 1 he should have over 3500 passing yards and 9 t.ds
Enjoy my state of Michigan, City of Detroit folks! I am in cra Chicago this weekend, but I send love and prayers for a fantastic Draft experience to Detroit and its guests. I am a Detroit Lions fan, but I am legally separated from The NFL due to its corrupt, cheating ways Maybe The NFL can redeem itself and bring me back as a viable fan by making sure Detroit shines during Draft weekend and cleaning up cheating??🤔🤔 Good Draft to all teams! Go Detroit with your bad Draft Self🫶🏿
JJ is just that DUDE!! Humble, leader, sacrifices for the team betterment and a dog in the fight. Anyone who questioned his arm never watched him play, ball placement, accuracy and can drive it deep. The Alabama drive to tie the game was proof that he is that man. JJ we Michigan fans love you the fans of where you go are gonna love you and i will always follow you young Man of Michigan. ❤❤
Rich looks like a proud uncle interviewing his fellow Michigan man.
As Vikings fan, I’m overjoyed to have JJ on the team. JJ to JJ! Great guy…

You will not be disappointed
THOSE WHO STAY WILL BE CHAMPIONS...thank you J.J. for everything and good luck to you.

Rich is a legend and has interviewed everyone. The pure joy on his face when he interviews players from this Michigan team is priceless. 😂😂😂
This dude was signing autographs in high school and is talking about becoming a GAM... What a humble kid. Can't help but root for him.
Dude gets a lot of hate but he seems like a pretty down to Earth person. Hope he does well in Minnesota!
Wow…. Such an articulate young man! Best of luck JJ!
His hair says typical gen Z but his candor says seasoned veteran 😂. Hope the best for him.

Thanks to the Giants' stupidity, your wish was granted. It won't be long before the Vikings win their first Super Bowl.

JJ is gonna be great, his mindset is really impressive, whoever got him, got himself in my opinion the best QB of this draft.... save this comment
“We’re soldiers on the football field” Really like his confidence in himself
He’s a good dude for sure
he seems super chill and cool - and can speak to media pretty effortlessly without having to think much about what he is going to say
Love how Rich is such a fan boy for JJ!

Rich what a great interview! Something about your great voice and personality. your the best
As a giants fan I'd love to have this kid. I think he's got the "it" factor that Eli had. Wherever he goes I think he'll be great

I’m glad that McCarthy is now playing for my Vikings. To see and hear JJ speak in this interview … you can see his personality. The IT factor.
No wonder why nfl team love him he’s a great dude with sneaky athleticism
I settled on JJ several weeks ago. This interview only confirms I made the correct decision. Hopefully Washington feels the same way.
What a humble dude!
JJ is a fine, young man,a great leader and QB.
Fine is right 🥵

Vikings trade for this young man
No trade needed, congrats bro. I wish him nothing but the best...except against the Lions lol.
Rich, you're the greatest of all time!
