Raiders need to stop settling for lower tier QBs. If there was ever a time to trade up for a QB it would be now for Jayden Daniels.
Not with our Oline built the way it is. Not with our secondary as thin as it is. We’re a year away from making a MASSIVE move up in the draft
It's what I'm saying but if we do this we absolutely need to hit on our later round picks. We could find a oline starter in round 3-4. Remember Gabe Jackson? We need to hit on all picks

@@BigBrueserno other position impacts a game more than the qb position. O line is not bad. Left side is very solid. I feel comfortable with mayer at RT. Our o line is versatile. We can still pick up a corner in FA.

It's simple. If he falls past the 2nd pick, the Raiders need to make the trade. We've had so many misses in the past with our 1st round picks that it doesn't really matter at this point because somehow we are still a competent team. With Mahomes and Herbert in our division, the elite qbs throughout the conference. We need our own elite qb if we want to play for superbowls. Also, i dont see us getting any closer to getting a franchise qb in the foreseeable future. Unless we suck, then we all know what's gonna happen if that goes down. No more AP and back to this rebuilding bullshit.

It seems there's an online push for both Heisman winners to be pushed out of draft positions 1 and 2. Drake Maye and JJ are being pushed by broadcasters, a small group of former players and posters online. Why? I have my theories, but I think that everyone will see on draft day that pick 3, 5, 6 and 9 will trade down and JJ will be chosen late in the first round or in the beginning of the 2nd.

You need a QB as a team. You are in great spot to get at least 1 or the 2 best QBs in the draft. All the other QB have HUGE ifs to them. Why would a team what to try out of it?

Why would the Commanders want a player who obviously doesn't want to play for them.
If (and it’s a pretty big if) the Commanders take Maye at #2, and New England considers trading that #3 pick, I guarantee the Raiders will try extremely hard to make that deal happen to get Jayden.
We had a decent team last year, but our QB situation was totally up in the air, so if we can get a Heisman winning QB at the helm, with his former college recruiting coordinator and former coach, to be his head coach, why not pull the trigger?
We’ve still got plenty of cap space to sign some free agents, too, so we don’t have to fully rely on the draft to make this team better right now.

If they are convinced he is that good then go get your franchise quarterback does not matter the cost because the franchise quarterback will fill multiple holes on your team with his talent, specially with him being able to throw and run with elite ability
I would give up this year’s first round pick next year’s first round pick and another pick swap along with a second round pick this year third round pick next year and a fifth round pick next year

Or stay where you are getting a QB who has just as much chance not to suck as every QB in this draft. Selling the future on a QB gets you fired. In this draft there isn't 1 QB who you could say is a can't miss. You don't trade a million picks on a QB who is more likely to fail than even be a backup. Which is this draft of QBs. 7 could be very good. 7 could just as easily get you fired.
At this point I say you go for it. Minshew is not the long term answer and AOC is a fringe starter in my opinion. Go for it!

They do not have enough to move up. Davante Adams is the only one that needs to be traded away and the franchise doubles down on saying they're keeping him. Without a good QB, O-line, and run game, any WR is worth less
Raiders gave " up the farm" for DeVante. Rumored that Aaron Rodgers WANTED to be a Raider and Josh McDaniels turned that down. My point is, what would it have taken to get Rodgers? The " farm"? Our needs are overblown the only true needs is one starter on the right side of the OL & CB, in this scenario we'd still have our 2nd round pick to solve one need as well
The way I see it is this if a first round CB or OL hits we're still a fringe playoff team cuz of our QB situation, but if we hit on JD we're a playoff contender n a superbowl contender sooner than later
This will be the closest draft position the Raiders are going to have while AP is he head coach because it looks like they will have winning seasons under his leadership which means they may be drafting middle to end of rounds each year and the team is will be in danger of being stuck and not getting over the hump due to the lack of a franchise QB. Therefore, make the sacrifice now and get JD to avoid being locked into the upper mediocrity level.

I am a Commanders fan but they do not allow me in the draft meetings, so I really don't know what they want to do. I'd be fine with them trading the pick to any team that will give a but load for it. I'm not sold on any of the available QB's working out with Kingsbury as the OC. But I will be happy to see if the Commanders are on mend after the last 25 years of constant disappointment.

This scenario is a bit more complicated tho. I still think he goes to Washington but I wouldn’t be surprised if they passed on him either. Jobs are on the line and they might not think it’s worth risking their job on a QB who doesn’t want to be there not to mention that he does have some bust potential and he’s on the smaller side. I think he’ll be fine but he does come with risk. He’s not a slam dunk 2nd pick.

😂😂😂 Justin is not the thrower Jayden is. Also, Jayden is on a rookie contract for 5 seasons while Justin is on the 4th year of his rookie contract which means if he does good he will want to get paid.
The Bears traded Fields to where he wanted to go. Poles said he was going to do right by Fields and let him choose his destination. That's also why he let him go for a 6th round pick.
Jayden is an elite field processor and he will be under contract on a rookie deal for 5 year 😴
