Evaluating guys around other guys is actually a great idea…. Neither one of Thea guys have drafted anyone in their entire lives nor have they coached and or scouted at the NFL level.
I believe they treated they’re top 30 visits to a fun time at Top Golf
They want all 4 on the field at the same time to maximize competing.
My guess is they’ve been offered a massive deal for the #2. They need to know if JJ or Penix is worth passing up on Maye or JD. What is the drop off between each guy? That’s what they need to find out.

It’s to see how they act amongst their peers. They already spent plenty of time talking to each of these QB prospects individually between the combine and other meetings

I suspect a team knowing who they have to pick from and no plans of trading are not tight lipped on their opinions because no one will jump them. Probably have meeting and more than 1 or 2 people have a very good idea who they are going to take with 90% certainty, the lower paid in the building might tell a grade school friend, who places a bet and the connection is so remote the NFL will never make the connection.
Maybe because they already know who they are going to pick Daniels .....
If the Commanders don’t pick Jayden it’ll be one of the biggest blunders you’ll ever see. Now Washington has been a lousy organization so I wouldn’t be shocked if they pick, say, Drake Maye. If they do I will laugh my a-s off and I’ll bet teams like the Vikings would be jumping up and down and trying to trade to three.

Cowherd and Skip and Shannon are reactionary/opinion forward talking commentator without anything to back it up usually. Florio is an informational reporter and commentator.

This stinks of Magic Johnson to me. These types like to create this weird competition by throwing people together to see how they handle it. I’ve had bosses in the past who played these games. In reality guys like Jayden might just get pissed about it. It’s a bit disrespectful to me. But then again the Commanders aren’t an NFL team.
