As a woman dating, the biggest red flag for me is the wait staff giving me “are you okay” looks on the first couple dates - they pick up on a lot of vibes
@@MegaFlame57 Sometimes, when you don't really know someone and you're very attracted to them, you can blind yourself to red flags that would seem obvious from an outsider's perspective. Waiters are some of those outsiders and if they give you warning looks, it might be a sign that you're missing something. Especially if they know the other person because they're a regular or something. That might not be what the original commenter meant tho, but I hope this helps while you're waiting for an answer from OP.
@@tateupougnac2531 Also, not just an outsider's perspective, but experienced servers probably can see cues about character more quickly than the average person.
@@dogawfulYes! Especially if we recognize a weird pattern in a patron’s behaviour. Pro tip for anyone who is a regular customer at any establishment: we remember you, whether your behaviour is good or bad, but ESPECIALLY if it’s bad. And we all talk about you in the BOH. I guarantee you ‘serial first dater guy’ has a nickname that the staff refers to him
I think it’s because we can easily put him into any of these situations and know exactly what his face and response will look like. Basically, he comes across so delightfully basic that we can all be his friend. I don’t think I have any complaints about him 😂 ETA: I don’t think he’s basic, just good at acting it
Him having a psychology degree and rationally/educatedly(is that a word?) breaking down why people act the way they do is always nice to listen to and definitely makes these more interesting than the average Reddit reading video. Also the fact that the other two can bounce off each other always makes these fun.
Kiana giving you guys the little warning about the revenge story and telling you that if y’all weren’t comfortable hearing it you could skip it was so sweet. she’s the coolest. the mark of an awesome, respectful director.
she is but like... it was not even that bad of a revenge story lol. in fact it was extremely tame and honestly the most tame story of this episode. so idk why she gave them a warning tbh.
As a server, it is a common concept that if you see a regular, you treat them as such. There’s a possibility that the server meant no harm but was doing what we are told. Guests LOVE being recognized. It can bring them back and bring in good tips
Right, he’s silly for being upset about that, he shouldn’t lie. And the restaurants was insane for firing her. I guess because he’s a “loyal customer”, but still. She was being polite and using her customer service skills and could’ve easily just been told not to wait on him in the future. I really don’t understand any of that situation
This! In any food job, we know I regulars and we know what they get, we’re taught to acknowledge regulars, most places I’ve worked for are one first name basis with regulars
was about to comment the same thing! of course the waiters recognize a regular and its to be expected to be greeted as one at some point. how is the waitress supposed to know he tells his dates hes never been there before
I love knowing that it’s someone’s job at smosh to find Reddit stories for this show. Theirs just someone sitting at a smosh computer just on Reddit and they are getting paid.
That story about the woman who’s friend accused her of not really being bisexual hit an absolute nerve, and it’s such a relatable fear. I remember in high school, after I broke up with the first proper girlfriend I ever had, she accused me of just being straight this whole time, and that’s the reason I didn’t like her. I know it’s definitely a different situation, but it really is a fear of being invalidated by someone who’s so sure of themselves.
I'm not bisexual but I identified as such for a while and it's like insanely invalidating to be accused of not being bisexual, because it really goes mask off about that person's feelings about all bisexuals.
There are some straight women that lead on lesbians and bi women for the sake of feeling wanted and validated and that's really scummy, I can see why some people can be skeptical IF the person is the kind of person to do something like that and completely ignore the other persons emotions and give them false hope to make themselves feel more attractive. But as a bisexual woman myself most of the "you're not actually bisexual" arguments are straight and gay people who don't understand being attracted to more than one gender and try to make you doubt your own feelings so they can steer you in a direction. I have since stopped doubting my own attractions, and it took a while to get here.
Except accusations like that show massive insecurity. Think about it; "you must've been lying and manipulating me this whole time because it couldn't possibly be anything about me that's incompatible."
Second story is insane. Waitress got fired for what?? Good customer service, remembering customers and their preferences is just going beyond. How was she supposed to know what the asshole tells to his dates 😭
Exactly! That's common anywhere and people are even trained to remember people's names/preferences, etc in the service industry. It is so common for waiters/waitresses to ask "would you like the usual?" if they have a regular customer. It's not like she said something about the girl being this week's pick or something 🤣
She probably had a number of complaints/ write ups if she was let go that easily. The op was making himself more important that it was because of him she was fired. He's still an ass, but if the waitress was crap she might have been on thin ice already
I really admire the revenge puking girl for standing up for herself, but going to another country for a date with someone you met online is SO RISKY. That dude could have been a human trafficker
@thelocaldork While it's easy to get that notion, it's really important to understand that it's still not super safe. My sister and my mom, when she was younger, would both go to the beaches only 20 minutes from the border. Always with close friends - absolutely never alone
@@thelocaldork that just stupid and anyone who thinks let me get in a guy's car to cross a border into another country to get drunk on the first date is an idiot. Literally makes you at his mercy immediately and pretty sure they'll believe a Canadian over an AMERICAN in CANADA if anything went down. So stupid.
The second story- you never start a relationship on lies. Added the waiter didn’t deserve to lose their job over a basic and innocent question or interaction.
That honestly sounded unrealistic to me, except if the OP was lying you’d think he would look better in the story. I dunno, food service managers can be REALLY unreasonable (yes I’m arguing with myself), but also maybe he already had issues with this server?
Exactly. Waitress was literally doing her job and doing it well. And its not only hella weird to lie about something so trivial, I also agree. Even though its a "small" lie, its probably indicative of how he would conduct himself in the relationship.
On the story of the girl crashing into OPs date, I felt icky when the girl said it was okay cause her gay friend let's her crash into his dates, like it feels like how someone who uses gay or queer people as accessories and something she can just crash into their lives for no reason other than they want to. Her thinking OP was straight and that's why she thought it was okay to ruin her date confirmed that for me
Yeah I felt the same, as soon as she grouped her queer friends together as ‘oh well I have another gay friend who is chill with it so you have to be as well’ it shows a lot about her character/views on her queer friends, and I was not at all surprised that her biphobia fully got revealed in the update
yeah that's pretty clearly homophobic, especially since she said it was with his boyfriend so she's comparing 2 very different things. I have had lunch with my girlfriend and a friend of mine, just because I met her after d&d and she wanted to try our usual post-game place, but I never would have done that when we had just started dating. Comparing that just because they're both gay when just about every other detail is different is super weird.
If you treat someone’s queer relationships as automatically less important and more for public consumption than you would straight relationships, that’s homophobic and it’s fucking weird. Why does she want to third wheel her friend’s dates? It feels like she’s making yaoi imagines of real people. Like girl... we are not ur clique go away. Don’t drink in our bars either.
The 18 year old getting drunk in Canada story was soooooo predatory!! I'm glad it ended well but that sounded like he had intended to force himself on the poster

Idk if anyone has mentioned this, but I love the fact that the team checked in to make sure everyone was good with the petty revenge story before they heard it.
I love the comforting, safe vibe Shayne and Kiana have created with this show. We’re just here to talk and enjoy the chaos of Reddit and it’s just an overall nice vibe
For the story where he got the waitress fired: this interact was GOING to happen at some point regardless of the servers opinions on him bringing multiple dates there. It’s so normal to say “nice to see you again” or “having your usual?” Like he set himself up. The server doesn’t know about the weird “first time coming here” charade lol Okay I’ve had an awful thought that I Hope is incorrect: was he making a point of it being his first time there to the servers???? EVERY time he came back? Is that why he took it as an attack? Or just ego centric?
exactly!! she didn’t even try to cause a problem, there was no way for her to know he’s been telling his dates he’s never been there before. That’s not even a ruined date, you just apologize for first date nerves and wanting to make sure everything is perfect by going to a place you already know is good
Right?! The dude lied to his date instead of just saying “it’s a great restaurant with great food. Let’s go there” and then he got caught in the lie so ruined her life because of it.
The ex-boyfriend as the best man story....It sorta feels like a gay-culture clash. I don't feel like these types of relationships are as common with straight people, and so to see someone so comfortable with someone who they experimented around with....I imagine she's not quite as used to it as he might be, and so while he sees it as not a big deal because this is the typical scene for a lot of his friends ( They seem to have a similar humor with it ), I imagine for her it isn't something she's really had to deal with. I personally think it's a little ridiculous to think someone should have to disclaim a relationship that happened ten years ago, when you were 15-16
Yeah, it's relatively common in the LGBTQ commuinity, mostly because we can't really afford to just cut people of just because we dated them for a moment when we were young. Straight people can be exellent friends, but there are certain things you just need other LGBTQ people for.
This, and also the possibility of homophobia on the fiance's part. Just knowing he's bi compared to meeting a former partner probably made it more real
yeah its really weird how apparently people seem to think you should have like a dating resume with every single relationship you've ever had no matter how minor or short lived and if you don't do that you're clearly Suspicious
I think it's weird, just because the way it's written make it out to be that they have basically kept it a secret from her. Like they didn't forget, they said they'd joke about it monthly? And yet ur fianceé doesn't know? Idk, there's something very shady about that. If his bsf was a "girl bsf" I feel like the comments would be way more divided.
@@Vohotwikx_Te_Axii_Ayroitethe way i read it, the OP isn't regularly joking about it. their friends bring it up and it gets joked about. it's not actively on his mind so it's like a "oh yeah lol that did happen haha"
kiana’s heads up on the sensitive subject matter and the time stamp to skip it- it’s things like this that make me love this channel so much more. i appreciate all of you❤️

Kiana's warning to yall and having that included in video for viewers was so nice to see. I hope that I oneday have a work environment that is this considerate and safe.
This series has become genuinely cathartic and has helped me with progress in therapy. What Courtney says about fearing that others don't see me as queer and having that affect my confidence to make friends or put myself out there to date really resonates with me. Thanks for putting into words the feelings I've struggled to explain. I don't feel so alone.
I feel like that sometimes, too. It's a super common anxiety, especially for bi and pan folks. You're definitely not alone at all, and it's a valid worry sometimes. If anything, it's kind of a fundamental experience that most queer folks can relate to. The people who turn out to not deserve your trust and confidence are just letting you know they're not good people. I know that doesn't make it easier at first, but it helps when that's genuinely a belief you can hold on to. If someone turns out to have shitty/bigoted opinions, you wouldn't want to be close with them anyway. They lose, not you.

49:21 This deserved its own section as Chance’s drama. And BOY OH BOY do I wish there’s a segment where the cast gets to share their OWN stories 54:00 CHANCE STORIESSSS THIS NEEDS TO BE A THINGGGG
On one hand, I get why the wife would initially be upset about the "ex boyfriend", but after getting the details of that they dated for less than a month when they were teens? If it were a full-on relationship or something, I'd get it, but I can see a one month relationship somewhere in a decade friendship where pretty much nothing in their relationship changed besides basic teen experimenting just wouldn't come up in casual conversation. Not even sure how that would be brought up. A sit-down conversation would feel like a confession or something in that ballpark and just bringing it up randomly would make me go, "O....kay.....?"
Exactly, unless both of them had sat down and disclosed every single relationship they have had with people the other partner knows, I don't see why he should have let her know this.
Right? It's not a big deal, he barely even counts as an ex. It's okay to date other people before you find the one, and not all relationships end badly.
Not just you! These are my fave SmoshPit videos for that exact reason. They're so relaxing. It's also a great way to get a closer look at the cast and learn more about them, which I love.
18:45 "Why keep it a secret if it's not a big deal? 🧐" They didn't mention it BECAUSE it's not a big deal!!! Honestly I can't imagine anyone genuinely calling them the asshole over a "relationship" from over a decade ago that didn't even last four weeks. Both them and their partner have valid points, but not communicating something doesn't automatically make you a bad person.
What are you talking about? Chanse did the exact opposite as Shayne was reading the third story. He quickly judged/ridiculed the guy for forgetting about his best man and his relationship, and then proceeded to hypocritically say he could relate. Chanse usually gives the worst perspectives on these.
like what the hell?? It’s such a stupid fucking lie too! Just say “there’s this restaurant that I love. it’s super comfy and the menu isnt too expensive”
The waitress was doing her job well, she remembered him and his regular order. With any normal person that's good service. She got fired for actually being good at her job. I wonder what he actually told the owner happened, because if it was the truth (unlikely, he's a liar), the owner must be dumb.
@@undeniablySomeGuyMy exact thought. There’s nothing wrong with saying, “I know this great restaurant that has awesome food for a good price. Let’s eat there”. There is no need to lie about it.

For the "ex-bf" wedding party story, OP is super relatable. Almost all of my exes hold near and dear places in my heart. I'm potentially gonna officiate the wedding of a couple where one of them was my childhood best friend & first girlfriend and the other is a guy who used to have a crush on me. When I was dating my most recent ex, a friend who I had asked out years ago was who I consulted with as I was planning a proposal (that never happened due to the break-up). The guy I'm currently into is still close with his ex-girlfriend, who even hung out with his mom several months post relationship. Frankly, it feels odd that a fling that lasted a few weeks in high school is causing this grown woman so many issues.
100% Gives off really nasty purity culture and abstinence vibes. Like ur partner isn’t chewed gum because they don’t have a blood hatred for everyone they’ve ever been with before you. The assumption that not ending up together makes the intimacy between exes somehow disgusting now is so weird and unnecessary. Like y’all are both people. Just treat each other like people. I’m not on speaking terms with any of my exes but I haven’t been in a safe relationship yet. I love when people can keep that community bc like. It’s not weird or nasty y’all tried romance/sexuality and it didn’t work out or you needed different things or whatever. Intimacy isn’t this great evil between y’all. Like the person doesn’t lose value bc y’all are no longer intimate, and they weren’t accruing value by staying virginal for the expectations of a person yet unknown. Maybe it’s more of a queer culture thing to just be baffled by the animosity that’s enforced to exist between partners like... the whole time... but it’s no way to be an adult. Like where do they find the time.
For the first date friend story, I think there was homophobic undertones to what she was doing. I think the tell is that she related OPs Date and situation to another gay couple she hangs out with, expressing if she can sit with them for couple outings why can't she sit with you during you're couple outings, which gives the impression that she feels that either all gay couples are the same or that she doesn't see the relationships of gay people as something that's serious. I don't think she would have related the situation to another gay couple if she wasn't viewing this as a 'gay couple date' rather than a 'regular date' in her eyes. Why would anyone think they could just join a couple on their first date even after they've said no to you asking? Someone who doesn't view you and your partner as a couple requiring alone time.
Someone in the video mentioned that she might have been curious to "observe" that first date to find "proof" of her actual queerness. I think that's a valid theory and that would be SUCH messed up behaviour.
bullseye. I'm surprised Shayne didn't bring that up. the homophobia is in the details... why lump two completely different situations together and act like it makes sense to act the same in both? oh of course, cause they're both gay.. like what?? OF COURSE she would act different had it been a man, cause her excuse was literally another gay relationship... meaning, if it was a man, she would use other STRAIGHT relationship to assume her position and would respect them and give them space. her other random gay friend has literally nothing to do with this one being on a first date with someone... so telling she brought it up at all
@noone-gf5op Yep, she's acting like her gay male friend has a perment seat on the gay council or something. Queer people are individuals, not a bundle of stereotypes.
Yeah, and pulling up a chair on a first date is different from hanging out (invited!) with an established couple. Clearly the only common factor was both couples were gay.
1,000% agree. I'm glad she showed her behind in the end by making comments about OP not really being bi. At that point, anyone who missed the first hint could really see what it was about
im obsessed with this series its both entertaining and comforting lol i even have the playlist playing while i go to sleep.. that 18 year old girl that threw up is my absolute hero... she was raised right.
You edited the post, but didn't change Babie to Barbie? Interesting. But ya totally I've read a few of their stories and watching these big man babies cry as they're girlfriends watch a movie they feel represented in is hilarious
Completely disagree with the wedding one about the relationship from 10 years ago. If I was 15-16 dating this person and were simply friends then that’s it. The other bride if anything is in the wrong for not completely trusting the person SHES GOING TO MARRY. A relationship from when u were a child shouldn’t bare any weight on the serious one leading to a marriage
Also, it’s a known thing that queer people are commonly still cordial or even extremely close platonically with their exes. Like he probably just doesn’t think it’s as big of a deal as she does because she isn’t queer (although I don’t know for sure, she very well could be)
40:45 one of my biggest pet peeves is when you tell someone they are doing something bad, and they just go "oh, no, it's ok," like THEY are the ones who get to decide that. Like, no, *I* said you were interrupting our date. YOU don't get to say "oh, no, it's not a problem." Yes it fucking is, because I SAID it is!
I think its absurdly silly to get upset over the guy choosing his CLOSEST FRIEND to be his best man cause they dated one time in high school. What kind of insecurity is that?
@@Squirmychairi feel like it was less of trying to hide it and more like it was such a short time (less than a month i think) that it wasn't super significant
Right, without fully knowing the people involved, I think the gf feeling “shock” or jealousy in that moment while she’s processing that info is understandable. The bf and best friend are very much involved in each others lives still it seems, so maybe the gf is feeling hurt not knowing the context of their relationship. But it’s all about how you react and move forward together. Shaming each other won’t really help the marriage last.
@@SquirmychairI think both sides are weird. At first I believed he genuinely just forgot until he mentioned that he jokes about it with said friend all the time 🤔 like obviously u didn't forget then

It's such a quick moment and such a small and easy thing, but the fact that there was a pause, a content warning, and a check to make sure they everyone was okay to proceed makes me so happy. That is a practice that more than needs to be normalized and I love knowing that it is happening at Smosh.
Yea this, but if they didn’t have the rapport before, I don’t know why she would have said anything. Just serve, spectate and be nice, there are not your friends. Unless he was date raping her or being overly creep where she was concerned for her safety, there’s nothing to say. And tbh I think the lie would be annoying but nothing to dumb a person about. As a woman dating, the biggest red flag for me is the wait staff giving me “are you okay” looks on the first couple dates - they pick up on a lot of vibes
Can you explain any further? I don't understand what's the context
And are you going to take a random staff persons "looks" as fact to judge someone you're trying to get to know? This is up there with astrology.
There's something so comforting about Shayne reading Reddit stories
I think it’s because we can easily put him into any of these situations and know exactly what his face and response will look like.

Him having a psychology degree and rationally/educatedly(is that a word?) breaking down why people act the way they do is always nice to listen to and definitely makes these more interesting than the average Reddit reading video.
If he didn’t lie it would of been she didn’t say he brought any one he could of just said he eats there a lot for the food

Think about it; "you must've been lying and manipulating me this whole time because it couldn't possibly be anything about me that's incompatible."
as a lesbian who thought they were bi for a few years, these type of queer people piss me tf off so much. biphobia is so annoying istg.
It’s honestly such a cope; not that different than men accusing bi or straight women of being lesbians if they reject him

There was a place I used to go to and my order was put in when they saw my car pull in and my drink ready by the time I walked in.
She probably had a number of complaints/ write ups if she was let go that easily. The op was making himself more important that it was because of him she was fired. He's still an ass, but if the waitress was crap she might have been on thin ice already
@@FluffieXStarshine That or he completely blew the story out of proportion

yeah but it was 15 minutes from the border so i think she thought it was fine, idk
@thelocaldork While it's easy to get that notion, it's really important to understand that it's still not super safe. My sister and my mom, when she was younger, would both go to the beaches only 20 minutes from the border. Always with close friends - absolutely never alone
@@spencer3 yeah thats true
@@thelocaldork that just stupid and anyone who thinks let me get in a guy's car to cross a border into another country to get drunk on the first date is an idiot. Literally makes you at his mercy immediately and pretty sure they'll believe a Canadian over an AMERICAN in CANADA if anything went down. So stupid.
A lot of people.who live near the US Canada border don't really act like it's in another country.
@@lindseytallent2855 this wasn’t an issue worth disciplining at all so the point about maybe there being other issues is moot.

For the story where he got the waitress fired: this interact was GOING to happen at some point regardless of the servers opinions on him bringing multiple dates there. It’s so normal to say “nice to see you again” or “having your usual?” Like he set himself up. The server doesn’t know about the weird “first time coming here” charade lol
Okay I’ve had an awful thought that I Hope is incorrect: was he making a point of it being his first time there to the servers???? EVERY time he came back? Is that why he took it as an attack? Or just ego centric?
exactly!! she didn’t even try to cause a problem, there was no way for her to know he’s been telling his dates he’s never been there before. That’s not even a ruined date, you just apologize for first date nerves and wanting to make sure everything is perfect by going to a place you already know is good
Right?! The dude lied to his date instead of just saying “it’s a great restaurant with great food. Let’s go there” and then he got caught in the lie so ruined her life because of it.
Rewatching this After the wedding is just absolutely insane of me. Congrats Shayne and Courtney again.

100%
Gives off really nasty purity culture and abstinence vibes.
I mean, I think it’s more the perceived lying than the fling itself, but it’s also very straight
I often fall asleep to it, too
Maybe she wasn't (especially since she said she had a lot of trauma at 18) but she's awesome anyway
Y'all need to do an "AITA" Babie Movie edition... Apparently people have been breaking up left and right because of it hahahah
You edited the post, but didn't change Babie to Barbie? Interesting. But ya totally I've read a few of their stories and watching these big man babies cry as they're girlfriends watch a movie they feel represented in is hilarious
for the past month I've been playing these reddit videos like background noise. ive rewatched all of them 8+ times
Do you have RUclips premium?
@@Trintron46 I have adblocker B)

Yasss me too they're are my background noise and sleepy time videos haha 😅
@rachelmarshall4986 heck yeah, thats what i like to hear 😎
I love that Kiana asked if they wanted to hear that story or not and put a time stamp to skip to this is why i love smosh
Like he probably just doesn’t think it’s as big of a deal as she does because she isn’t queer (although I don’t know for sure, she very well could be)
40:45
one of my biggest pet peeves is when you tell someone they are doing something bad, and they just go "oh, no, it's ok," like THEY are the ones who get to decide that.
Like, no, *I* said you were interrupting our date. YOU don't get to say "oh, no, it's not a problem." Yes it fucking is, because I SAID it is!
That’s exactly what I was thinking! It’s not up to her because she’s interrupting their date
I think its absurdly silly to get upset over the guy choosing his CLOSEST FRIEND to be his best man cause they dated one time in high school. What kind of insecurity is that?
It’s still weird that the guy never mentioned it to his fiancé. It feels like he was hiding it
@@Squirmychairi feel like it was less of trying to hide it and more like it was such a short time (less than a month i think) that it wasn't super significant
At first I believed he genuinely just forgot until he mentioned that he jokes about it with said friend all the time 🤔 like obviously u didn't forget then
i agree definitely. it’s a bit not great to never mention it but he definitely didn’t do anything wrong and there seems to be some kind of insecurity involved
It's such a quick moment and such a small and easy thing, but the fact that there was a pause, a content warning, and a check to make sure they everyone was okay to proceed makes me so happy. That is a practice that more than needs to be normalized and I love knowing that it is happening at Smosh.
The waiter didn’t say he was there with another girl he just implied he went a lot. He should have said to the girl “I love this place.”
I mean there’s only so many new restaurants in an area. He did put his foot in his mouth with the lie, but if banter fine it easily recoverable.
@@babycakez8070She didn't have to say anything, but it's pretty common to talk to regulars. Especially if this dude goes there so much and it seems like he always orders the same thing, it seems like it would've happened eventually
@@babycakez8070 "Just serve, spectate and be nice, there are not your friends" dude honestly? you're a major asshole. I think everyone reading this is thinking it and nobody's telling you. yikes.
servers are people, they are allowed to talk bro. people... talk. the fact you think people shouldn't be able to converse with one another like we're all just human beings because a few men are lying bastards is so fucking sad... waiters have a personality. I know many people who really enjoy waiters that are a bit more up beat.
also his lie his problem. next time don't manipulate multiple girls into going on dates with you. if it wasn't such a big deal he would have just told the truth. I guess he knows they may not want to go somewhere he has taken other girls before, or perhaps they don't even know he is dating casually, and he just took the choice away from them on whether they are up to it or not. otherwise WHY LIE?
I love that kiana paused to make sure everyone was on board for a tougher story. What a great workplace you all have created.
Who is here watching these Reddit stories after the news?
What news?
@@ZedKingsley Courtney and Shayne are married!
Courtney and Chanse using different hand motions for phone calls says it all 😭😂
Millennial...😅
I really appreciate how Kiana made sure to protect all the talent with that revenge coercion story. Huge props to her
I love this combo for this show. Courtney is so thoughtful in her responses, and Chanse is the advocate we all need in life.
These reddit reading videos are my emotional therapy tampons
Hahahaa, lol 😂 😂 😂
The lady weaponizing her own sick is epic as hell. Shitty she was in that situation but what a fucking legend.
With you guys playing D&D now, having Damian back on and doing some D&D horror stories would be a cool episode.
Damien and Chanse, not only do they seem to be the most knowledgeable in D&D, but thats also just a pairing id like to see on here lol
I love that Shayne’s shirt looks like it was used to clean every one of his favorite pizza places.
I like how Mint Mobile got actual Ryan Reynolds to do their ads, then also got Low-Budget Ryan Reynolds for the ads as well.😂
congrats to shartney for tying the knot
That is the funniest ship name I have ever heard!!!😂😂😂
y'all posted this literally as soon as i clocked out for my lunch break and it's chaotic today, thank you for the free Smosh-itonin :)
hope the rest of your day goes well!
i use these videos as if i’m a child getting a bed time story, something so calming about Shane reading the most chaotic story’s on the internet.
I love that kiana gives the warning, clarifies that it’s a safe space and then gives the option to skip it, which I don’t think she said this but it probably means they can skip at any time. Shows how they do care about mental health and emotional wellbeing at smosh
Honestly, if you dated someone *once* 10 years ago, and it was more just hooking up with them for a month rather than going out on romantic dates, I can't fathom being expected to bring that up. If it's so in the back of their mind they're not bringing it up, that's probably a good thing because you know if they had brought it up that means it's something that is on their mind often. This just feels like "tell me about all of your exes and everything you did with them" energy which is just weird to me.
yeah people were acting like it was smt recent or the last relationship op was in its just crazy to go that hard on him for something they both dont hang onto really
I also feel like it's a situation that she is straight, he is bi/pan but straight passing and she doesn't like the reminder "he may cheat on her with women AND men" (you know that dumb ass cliché that bi and pan people hear all the time)
It’s not the same. The man is going to be in their wedding. He’s a very big part of her fiancé’s life and soon to be, her’s. He should have told her they were together at some point.
@@jrb1567'straight-passing' has to be the most chronically online thing I've heard in a long time. Isn't the entire point of the whole movement that you can't tell who people are just by looking at them? Wtf??
@@BusinessSkrubthat phrasing is contentious within the queer community too. im personally not a fan of it. same with the idea of passing regarding trans ppl
There could easily be an entire episode of reddit stories exclusively written by Chanse and I'm here for it
i really appreciate courtney bringing up her struggles with her queerness at 42:33 and her paranoia about people perceiving her as straight because i feel the exact same way. i’m a cis woman who has only ever really been with cis dudes but i identify as pan. so i just appreciate knowing that this is something that other people have experienced too. so thank you courtney :)))))
Real!! The struggles of not fitting into the stereotypical “queer look” feels invalidating sometimes. I’m a lesbian and more femme presenting and “straight-passing” (people have said that to my face which i kinda found funny) so it’s hard to get the point across unless people start talking to me or stalk my reposts on my tiktok 😭
i'm just genuinely curious, not being hateful or anything at all, your queerness is valid. but in what situations have you felt paranoia about being considered straight if you haven't ever been in a queer relationship? its strange to me because i have always felt paranoia about people (besdies my friends and family) KNOWING i'm queer because i live in a very conservative culture.
@@yoshita4140 The relationships you’ve been in aren’t what fully encapsulates someone’s queerness. (I’ve never been in a relationship at all) You can be attracted to people and not date them as well. She said she was pansexual, which means she would be attracted/date someone regardless of their gender (kinda like gender-blindness). It might just happen to be that this commenter has only found interest in cis-men because she vibed with their personality.
I understand you mean well but this comment right here is what makes people FEEL invalidated even if that wasn’t your intention. As long as you know who you are, I think it should be less of a worry about how others perceive you at this point.
i love that smosh members are openly queer, i love seeing myself in them sm since ive loved smosh forever :). courtney is one of my favorites fr theyre so cool :DD
What if we do a reverse episode. Shayne sits on the couch and another or two cast members reads him a story then a different one, then a different one.
It can be about Wholesome stories too.
I could be wrong, but I feel like they did
@@core17in one episode with Iffy, they kind of passed the clipboard around and had everybody read one, but Shayne was still def the host.
I loved how the TW wasn't just for the audience but for the cast too, you know this is considerate workplace
47:42 Courtney and Chanse lighting up when they find out there’s an update is like children on Christmas morning.
Also- super quick- I’m so proud of Courtney talking about their queerness more. Also if nobody has noticed- they are referred to as them/they in every video they’ve been in for a while. As someone who is also queer but prefers to go by they/she- I’m really proud of the representation and knowing their struggles going through it as well. (Okay that wasn’t quick)
Courtney goes by any pronouns. She/her pronouns are still commonly used for them in videos without issue. I only mention it because some people overcompensate in their attempts to be supportive and correct themselves or others when it isn't necessary.
@@DrLipkin ah. Noted. But I have been noticing it more in the past few months. A simple “shoot- they” after gendering someone is mostly okay for a lot of fluid-gendered people. I clearly cannot speak for all gender-fluid people. Misgendering and mis-literally doing anything is so dehumanizing. Like. I said what I said is how I identify- it’s not someone else’s job to define me to make them more comfortable in their own little world.
@@DrLipkin also. Thanks for your feedback. I really appreciate someone letting me know something I may not be aware of as far as pronouns and boundaries go. So thank you DrLipkin!

Can we have an entire video dedicated to the casts weird or horrific dating stories? As a psychology student, hearing Chanse discuss some of his dating stories is fascinating and Id love to hear more stories if the cast is willing to share them ❤❤

Similar thing happened when I worked at a restaurant. I recognized a guy who was there the night before and commented how he must have liked the food enough to come back the next day. They just went silent, and left like 2 minutes later. There was no issue raised about it, I was really just trying to be friendly, but apparently there was some shady relationship business going on there.
