@@katiefoster6124yeah. Like the sentence "it's not my fault she came home early" implies that he really thinks it WOULDN'T have been an issue, if she hadn't known that he took it out. like her finding out about it was the thing that made it bad. When her not knowing, continuing to take it, and either encountering medical issues because of it or finding out later would've been SO MUCH worse!
For the insulin story: I think the worst part was that OP didn’t plan on telling his roommate that he took her insulin out, he was planning on her being gone and not coming back before he could put the stuff back. I think it was a stroke of good luck for the roommate that she came back early to find her insulin at room temperature so that she was aware of the fact that her insulin was now ruined. Imagine she hadn’t, and would’ve used expired insulin, potentially putting her life in danger.
Insulin expires in 28 days from opening date. And that goes for rapid-acting and regular viles. Doesn’t matter if it’s in the fridge or not. However, keeping a new one in the fridge will have it last until it’s expiration date.
12:40 he didn’t go straight for the nuclear option. he verbally told her SEVEN SEPARATE TIMES that she should knock because she might see him nude. that’s seven too many. six if you REALLY want to give her the benefit of the doubt. she is a creep. she knew she could have seen him, she laughed off him expressing discomfort, and then got upset for the consequences of ignoring his boundaries? it is her fault alone, she violated his privacy
@@reckless_herb right this is like pulling down someone's pants and being upset they're naked under their clothes. She shouldn't even need to be told to knock, but she WAS. GF is either too stupid to exist or she's a pervert who was trying to violate his privacy.
Makes me feel like she's sweating him and TRIED to have that happen. She knew better. She was verbally warned and LAUGHED about it like it was a challenge. She's the creep 100000000%
the worst part is he was poisoning the WHOLE building, not just their apartment. OP said there were well above normal readings IN THE BUILDING LOBBY! Like WTF, dude was probably giving entire families cancer.
As a female, I'll be the first to say that in the second story, I think the girlfriend was the a-hole 100%. It's his room and he told her to knock MULTIPLE TIMES. There are so many people in this world that don't give a crap about YOUR boundaries, and they'll only get the picture when THEIR boundaries are crossed [like seeing someone naked that they don't want to].
(I'm a girl) if I live somewhere and someone just opens my door without knocking and they see me naked or WHATEVER might make someone uncomfortable it's MY ROOM and MY space it makes no sense for someone to be mad at something that they shouldn't be doing anyway. I tell you to knock you have to knock like bro it's not that hard
All of this! How are they even defending the other side? That’s bananas! Even just being under the covers nude when someone barges in is uncomfortable, I’ve been in a similar situation (except it was my landlord illegally entering my home, not my roommates) I lost my sh!t. NTA.
I'm glad I'm not the only one, guys. At least all she saw was him naked, laying on the bed. If he hadn't done this, what if the girlfriend had accidentally walked in one day while he was having a "private intimate moment" with himself?! By their logic, I bet the Smosh crew would have said the girl should report him to the cops for being a s*x offender 😅
As a woman currently living with several roommates: if my roommate's boyfriend kept coming into my room without knocking, AFTER telling him several times not to and that I slept nude, I'd feel very violated. I'd think he's a pervert and a creep. Same goes for the girlfriend in the second story. Why does OP have to protect his own privacy in his OWN space? While I would not choose to sleep nude on top of the covers to send a message, it's very confusing to me why it is OP's fault that the girlfriend saw him naked. SHE took the risk after being warned several times. And frankly, her reaction to being told that she could've seen him naked almost sounds like she wanted to.
He knew she was going to do it and chose to flash her. That is not the correct response to this situation. He intentionally exposed himself to her. He was wrong for doing that. How tf do so many people not see this???
@@kstar1489 if you repeatedly go on private property that’s used for hunting without protective gear in, and you’re told repeatedly that it’s used for hunting, and you keep going anyways, who’s fault is it when you get shot?
this this this this. If someone walked into your house and you were naked, are you wrong? No because it's your private space. I cannot believe anyone in their right mind would accuse him of being the asshole.
I agree, its true that he did set up the situation that morning. But he warned her about it, and asked her to knock because something like that could happen accidentally(and frankly its rude af to just barge into another persons bedroom). Had she listened to him, his "trap" never would have worked. To me thats similar to a situation where you tell someone dont touch the pot its hot, and they touch it anyway. Its not your fault they get burned, if they refuse to listen. And its his room, he can sleep however he likes or do whatever he likes. If she walks into an unwanted situation after being warned, she only has herself to blame. If he'd been a pervert he would have set up the situation without warning her or even lured her into walking in on him sleeping naked by asking her to wake him up etc.
My family used to make this for my sister and I when we were kids. Warm milk and vanilla, we called it Sleeping Potion 'cause we took it at night before going to bed
imagine if the first girl’s roommate came home later and took expired/spoiled insulin, she could’ve easily died. that first roommate is the asshole COMPLETELY. she’s insane.
Right: The roommate’s insulin costs around $800 without replacement and that’s most likely without insurance or a carrier that doesn’t provide that kind of coverage An 10” ice cream cake averages at about $25 maybe less depending where you’re getting at, even less when you know, you could just make it?
@@Theunloved1738 exactly! and i could be wrong but i think there’s a shortage of insulin right now. this roommate could easily gotten a cake that didn’t need to be refrigerated either. i’ve gone to parties where the cake has been out all day and it was fine.
@@signalohnine Also, regardless of whether there’s a shortage or not that’s still MEDICINE. It’s not exactly “Oh I’m mad because you drank the last coke in the fridge.” It’s “if I don’t take this, I WILL die.”
Had to come to the comments to see if others were shocked about their thoughts on the girlfriends barging in story and I’m glad there’s plenty of people sharing how ridiculous it is for her to have been doing that after several warnings.
The naked sleeping roommate story infuriates me to no end. If you just walk into a room you get whatever you see. It makes me furious when people 1) don't knock or 2) knock and then just open the door. YOU SHOULD KNOCK AND THEN WAIT TO BE INVITED IN! It's common curtesy. People out here with bad manners.
My fiancés sister saw my chest several times because she didn't knock and I was breastfeeding. She learned the hard way, lmao. She knows to not walk into rooms randomly anymore
Not just common courtesy, but depending on where you live. You can actually get into decent legal trouble depending on what you see. As a private room, has an expectation of privacy, and would be held to the same standard as walking in on someone in the bathroom. The repeated behavior would absolutely make argument that it atleast "could be" accidental.
I think there's something so awful about the power dynamic of the gf coming into the naked sleeper's room over and over again. She knows what she's doing, she knows she's making him uncomfortable, and she's doing it anyway. Then giggling about it when he tries to put up a boundary? That person knows exactly what she's doing and if this situation had been a man doing this to a woman, there would be no question of who was the creep. Thats absolute sex pest behavior. She was trying to hold control of his body and his privacy over him
True. He's not an asshole at all. Even if it is on purpose, he chose to sleep naked and above the covers in his OWN room. The asshole is def the gf not respecting his boundaries.
And he does say that his roommie brought up the fact that he had threatened to do it before, which meant that there must have been at least one conversation about this issue.
and when they said they need more context to try and understand, i’m just like “why?” you have enough context. it’s a guy who is naked in his own bedroom and this girl keeps barging in unannounced. it was bound to happen eventually if she kept it up. and then immediately after, Courtney tries comparing it to actual criminals flashing people in public. lol so much for context. i actually laughed at her for that one
@@freyjadour0613 he’s not an asshole for sleeping that way. However, it’s a bit fucking weird to intentionally expose yourself to her to make a point. That’s not making a point. That’s just fucking weird
If anything, the girlfriend who walked in on the naked roommate without knocking is the pervert. She KNEW that it was possible he’d be naked. She’s very aware and continued to do it again and again. It’s almost like she enjoyed disrespecting his boundaries. He doesn’t need to be considerate of her because she reFUSES to respect his boundaries in his room. It’s weird.
Ultimately I think the guy could have handled the situation better but it is disgusting that he would bring up how he is naked and it made him uncomfortable and she would just laugh it off acting like it wasn’t a problem. No matter what happens after that right there is wrong
Yeah i agree. he maybe could’ve went another way around it, but saying he “exposed himself to her” sounds a little much to me. It’d be different if he was laying on the couch in the living room and she was just walking in the front door and saw, but the dude was inside his own room. How can you possibly put that on him?
I think what gets me in the GF story is that, yes, he knew she barges into his room unannounced every morning, but SHE knew that he sleeps naked in his room. She always knew that she would intrude on someone who was indecent and disregarded it. I agree it can make the situation more iffy, but at what point do you draw the line of adjusting your life because you know somebody doesn’t respect you? Bc guaranteed, people who don’t respect your boundaries never stop
Exactly! Saying he did it to get his mental rocks off is pretty pretentious to me seeing as it is NOT her room?! And he warned her, he didn't threaten her, it wasn't new information and she knew that just didn't want to respect it.
It's really creepy tbh. As a woman I would not care what gender I or someone else was, don't barge into my room when I'm asleep and especially not when you know I sleep nude and seem to find some weird joy out of it. To be more mature would mean having some conversations before jumping to that solution and that mightve saved him some issues, but frankly unless there's something that makes it hard for her to take a hint she had no right to a discussion anymore
It’s also kinda creepy that she knew he could be naked, and did it anyways. It’s almost like she wanted to see him naked… idk, the whole thing is weird.
Agreeeeeed. I didn’t agree with them on this one, it’s his personal space, if she wouldn’t barge in when he’s on the toilet then why make the risk for his bedroom when he warned her? She absolutely wanted to catch him, either to start shit or to get her own rocks off.
Completely! Who decides it's a good idea to ignore somebody's discomfort let alone laugh at it, and then get mad at him for what she saw in his own room!? Who decides not to knock anyway!? I would have approached this differently, but I see where he's coming from, its her fault for barging into his room.

The radiation story was wild. I'm a biochemist and have worked in laboratories where we've used radioactive material, and there is a ton of training and safety precautions that have to be taken. And radon has a fairly short half-life (just under four days), decaying into other toxic/radioactive substances that can cling to walls, clothes, carpet, etc, and can get into the bloodstream. That apartment is definitely contaminated.
I hope they've read comments and thought about their take on the sleeping naked story. I think they were victim blaming him and infantilizing her. He shouldn't be taking heat because he didn't deal with being sexually harassed the "right way." Women can also be manipulative creeps, and I think that's exactly what she was doing. She was not called out for being that way and was just kind of brushed off as being dumb and inappropriate. His intention to "teach a lesson" does not matter here. He was being violated.
Agree. And we don't know he "skipped a few steps" and it doesn't matter, it shouldn't take so much work to have your human rights respected and we don't know what he's gone through. For me, having to sit them both down to have a talk over something like this would be so much pressure if I already tried to talk to them. She isn't going to listen. And door lock alternatives aren't actually that easy. Some look okay but others are excessive. An actual lock is the best lock. You shouldn't have to barricade yourself into your own room, that's kinda traumatic especially if you've experienced abuse... This still makes me mad watching it again lol
@@ellecimz6618on the contrary, we know for a fact that all the steps that they say he missed he in fact did and they just didn’t read his comments clarifying that. He did sit them both down every single time, he did consider door locks, he was adult in the situation and in my opinion his options were: Show her consequences to her actions or move out. He chose consequences
She was in the wrong 100% but the way he handled the situation was super weird as well. I'm so concerned about my privacy that I'm gonna fully expose myself the next time that creep comes to my room? It's backwards logic when you think about it. And about infantilizing, the same applies when you assume women will be traumatized by nudity. Your comment also seems to imply that her seeing OP in that state was her end goal, so why would he decide to give her that? Again, she's in the wrong, but everything he did was backwards.
@@i.shuuya3231so if a man sexually harassed a woman 7 times and she sat down and pleaded with him to stop every time, you would respond with "yeah he's in the wrong but she didn't handle it well"? the fuck? don't victim blame just because it was a man
@@ninetailskwami That was not my point. If a man was creeping on a woman, would she ever conclude that a way to solve the situation is by exposing herself to him? I don't think so. If the woman in the story is equally predatory, it's safe to assume that her end goal was to catch OP naked. Then why would OP assume that: 1) a creepy woman would be traumatized by the sight of nudity 2) exposing himself would somehow solve the situation. If my main worry was privacy, I wouldn't even consider that to be a solution, rather a way to give them what they want. I really don't see how would any victim would come to that conclusion.
I had that happen once. Posted something about an argument with my roommate (not on r/AITA, I think on r/badroommates) just to vent, and my roommate saw it and freaked the fuck out and moved out over it. It was one way to solve a bad roommate situation.
Your private space is just that PRIVATE. You shouldn’t have to warn anyone you sleep naked as they shouldn’t be entering your space without knocking. He DID NOT expose himself to her. SHE is the pervert in this scenario.
I couldn't agree more. Ok hear me out what if a girl was in the guy's situation where the guys suddenly comes in the room and the guy is automatically the pervert. The whole situation and views would be a whole lot different if they swapped genders. This is an example where the girl is always "the victim"
@@tutayfranceshenriettam.2601 i don’t think it’s that the girl is always the victim. i think it has a lot more to do with how men overwhelmingly are more creepy towards people then women. this is proven by statistics and the experiences of literally every single person i’ve known/seen who is interested in men. i don’t know where i stand on the roommate situation i don’t think there’s nearly enough information but blaming it on women being victims is absurd
I GET IT NOW. Shayne chose Damien and Courtney for this topic, cause both of them have been his roommate. Courtney is now his lifetime, permanent roommate lol
I will say as a girl, if the roommate story was reversed and it was a guy walking in on a naked girl after being asked to stop, it'd be treated different. Like I bet if the blonde girl was dealing with a guy randomly barging into her room she'd have a very different reaction. This feels like a case of a guy's boundaries not being treated as seriously and that's bs
if the roles were reversed the person waiting on top of the covers naked would still be flashing the other person both of the ppl in the situation are wrong for several reasons
@@keiaj not really flashing. He told her he sleeps naked and that she should be knocking. Any other day that could've happened. It just so happened that it was on purpose this time
I disagree cuz nobody said the roommate was in the right in that situation everyone literally agreed that she was a creep. But he also went to 0 to 100 with the retaliation and others really have no context as if the guy had called her out before or told anyone else to talk to her And it really was a very social media response because there is indeed the mentality that if people bother you and cross a line then any kind of response that gives drama or entertainment then is ok no matter what. All that they said before was that there are ways to retaliate as there are to anything, right?, she does deserve to be called out and a comeuppance but the execution and the manner is poor and it leads to misunderstandings that clearly affected him too
The fact he had to bring up"hey, I sleep naked, you could end up walking in on that if you keep barging into my room" and all she does is giggle and continue to do so... that was straight up the talk about knocking.
Courtney defending this behaviour and comparing OP to sex criminals and flashers is insane. She was aware he sleeps naked, and didn't care. She was a pervert.
the radiation one absolutely terrified me as someone who is casually interested in chemistry. Those levels of radiation are extremely dangerous, and owning that much radium that is not stored safely is definitely illegal.
That story can't be found anywhere on the internet outside of reddit. The prevailing concensus is that it's fiction, loosely based on the "Nuclear Boy Scout" case, but no one really knows.
For radiation reference: -Typical dose over a two week period in the Fukushima Exclusion Zone is 1000 microsieverts. -A SINGLE DAY spent in bed in the woman’s room is 1680 microsieverts.
I'm glad the comments are with me on the second story. With the context given, she was literally warned, and he was having his privacy invaded. But, their takes didn't make me TOO mad, either. They were being very nuanced about it, which I can appreciate.
sorry to hijack your comment, but i have a theory. for anyone wondering what the motive for the radium guy could possibly be, he was probably collecting them with the intent to make a nuclear reactor with an old boy scout manual from the sound of it. all the stuff he was collecting were examples in the manual i think. lookup the nuclear boyscout, he actually did it as a kid and his house had to be condemned.
@@Andyyoureastar oh for the adult my theory is Probably some back-up plan for power if the world ends, in pure boyscout fashion. The manual details how to create a small nuclear reactor. I'm literally not joking
@archeryan8404 I don't know. I'm leaning towards he was just dumb. I feel like he if he was trying to build a reactor and going through a manual, he'd be more educated on how to properly store it all and the danger that he put himself and his roommate in. Like he lied about how much radiation it all was giving off. To be honest, as dumb as it sounds, in this day and age it wouldn't surprise me if the guy was trying to give himself superpowers or some stupid crap 🤣. Most likely, though, he was just a dumb kid who thought having that stuff was just "cool" and he didn't educate himself enough to know the dangers. Chances are his family told him, but being a 19 year old, he most likely felt he knew better than them and continued to collect the stuff anyway. It very well may be why he was living there at 19, his family may have kicked him out because he was collecting that stuff.
As a T1D. I would have gone ABSOLUTELY FERAL if the insulin story happened to me. I would’ve taken them to small claims for the cost of the $400 medication that keeps me alive.
Honestly, this might even stretch to criminal negligence. Life saving medication was purposefully put into conditions that made it unsafe to use for its purpose. That could have caused her death if she hadn't known.
What happens if you use spoiled insulin? OP was planning on putting it back after a few hours and the roomate wouldn't have known if she didn't make a surprise appearance.
Shayne: Damien, you and I use to be roommates. *says nothing to Courtney because they are hiding their whole relationship* *Shayne and Courtney get married 10 months after this video and are now permanent roommates*
The verdict on the second story really irks me. I’ve never really had a problem with any of these episodes, but I hard disagree with them. The guy told the roommate’s gf that he sleeps naked in his room, and yet every single time he explicitly notified her to not barge in while he’s asleep, she rubs it off nonchalantly with a smirk and says “but I didn’t.” She is barging in unannounced every morning while he’s asleep comfortably, without knocking or making herself known before entering. That puts him in a very uncomfortable and vulnerable position. As it would with anyone with a sense of privacy. Like bruh, that is HIS room. HIS rules. HIS boundaries. HIS privacy. HIS right to do whatever the hell he wants in the safety of HIS own room. He’s all about privacy and she should respect that. Think about it. She KNOWS about how he sleeps. She KNOWS the risk, and she chose to completely ignore it consistently because she deemed it as not a problem. Sometimes, a real life demonstration really is the last resort. It shouldn’t have to be a solution at all, but it’s unfortunate how it goes to that length sometimes.
She's definitely the asshole for barging in. He started this story with moral high ground. The fact that it was his intention for her to see him naked uses some of that up. I think his roommate and his girlfriend are wrong, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a bit of a dick move. Moving away from the moral standpoint it just wasn't a great idea. His intention was to shock her and he succeeded. This success has high chance of breaking up his living arrangement. He took an annoyance and made it into a problem. It was an annoyance he shouldn't have had to deal with to begin with, but I feel like everyone acknowledged that at the beginning
I agree that he's right and she's wrong, and I agree that sometimes this type of thing is the last resort, but I don't think this situation required it, honestly. I think as a *last* resort? Fine. But this sounds like it was his second resort. Should he have had to do anything more than tell her once? No. But sometimes it's not about whether it's your responsibility or whether you should have to work to prevent a problem that you didn't cause, it's about "hey, do I want to be on good terms with my room mate's girlfriend, who I might be seeing frequently, possibly for years?" and i think there's a universe where he doesnt have to nuke this relationship with her (and his room mate) AND gets his right to privacy. We don't know though, because he didn't try anything else. Again, he shouldn't have to, but life doesnt always work like that. And hey, the nuclear option is always still on the table if you need it.
The only thing is, even though he purposely did it knowing that she would walk in, the whole point was to deter her from continuing this action. It’s not a big deal, if she didn’t think it was a big deal before she shouldn’t complain now. All she has to do is step back out in mind her own business. He didn’t do it to show off the goods, he did it to get her to back off. He should be able to do it without it being something that aims towards her. He should be able to do it just on his own anytime he wants just for the hell of it. The fact of the matter is he had to do it with her in mind specifically because it is the only way he could anyways.
@tsunova2296 I agree with you wholeheartedly. And I even go a step further: invert the roles. Imagine its a girl saying 100 times that the roomate's boyfriend doesnt knock and enters without asking first thing in the morning, and that she keeps saying that she sleeps naked and that he might see her naked "hihi but I didn't". I love Courtney but sometimes one comment or another doesn't make much sense. Now, I also don't agree with the dude when he decided "welp, the only solution is to actually sleep naked and force a change by shocking her and appearing as a creepy". There are other discourses to have and other 'threats' to make that doesn't leave you as a 'creep' if the story ever gets out.
As someone who sleeps naked and been in similar situations, the conversation ends at "do not enter my room without knocking." that is a private area and no one but the one it belongs to has the right to enter. What if he was pleasing himself? That is completely on her. He could lock the door but then again it is his door. KNOCK. End of conversation. As some have said, if the roles were reversed the conversation would be different and he would be deemed a pervert. The fact that they defended the girl after she had been told to stop is very off putting. No means no. She needs to understand this.
Absolutely. The girlfriend who refused to knock was 100% in the wrong. OP's bedroom is a private space where his genitals are allowed to be out, where he's allowed to change clothes or masturbate or whatever he wants to do. She violated him, period.
Im sitting here listening to their opinions like “YOU ARE SHAMING A MAN FOR SLEEPING IN HIS OWN SPACE! “The post CLEARLY says multiple conversations happened. And they literally ignored it to still call OP the mutual asshole, and my opinion definitely lowered of them.
Yes! And especially when she responded dismissively. It’s so frustrating watching them forget that he did in fact bring it up with her and she was like no I’ll do what I want even though I’m a guest in your home.
The issue is that he purposefully, premeditatedly exposed himself to her to prove a point about knocking. That’s not the right way to go about it at all. That’s not to say that the girl is NTA - IMO everyone’s TA in that story. But going out of your way to expose yourself to someone as payback for them entering without knocking is over-the-top and gross. He should’ve have verbally & clearly communicated his grievances to both parties, and if they still refused to listen, he could either get a portable, non-permanent door lock, or he could get apartment management involved. Heck, if he hadn’t planned it but he happened to be naked when she walked in on him, he wouldn’t be the AH. It’s the fact that he intentionally crafted a plan to expose himself to her that makes him the major AH
Sorry, Smosh, but I had to give you a thumbs down and stop watching the video after your horrendously wrong comments to the guy who sleeps naked in his own private space.
If she hadn't come home early and saw that he took the insulin out, she would use the spoiled insulin that wouldn't work and would kill her. Literally. He is so lucky she came home
The insulin story makes me see red. Thank GOD the roommate came home and saw it, I can't imagine what would've happened if they just put it back in the fridge after being out and pretended nothing happened.
Insulin expires 28 days after it was open, no matter if it’s stored in the fridge or at room temperature. You just cannot leave it out in weather of 86°F+. And this goes for rapid-acting and regular insulin
@@totalEPICness88If it was open, it would be good for a month at room temp. There is little chance that, in there apartment, it was outside the range of temperature to start rapid decay. The only way it's rapidly degrading in an environment like that, is if they put it in direct sunlight/heat for the entire party, which is pretty unlikely. A diabetic would know this.
im diabetic and so is my gram, you're literally recommended to take the insulin out b4 use and let it get warm, then put back in till next use. it would have been fine for at least 10-12 hours b4 refrigeration again. im not defending the person touching another medication, but the person throwing away literally potentially $1000 is ridiculous. if you're diabetic you wouldn't throw that away unless you have tons of money.

@@cosodesign8953the problem wasn’t that he was naked in his room (he always was, just under the covers). The problem was that he purposefully was naked in front of her to spite her. He didn’t say, “I always sleep naked, and she barges in all the time so I’m worried she will see me naked one day.” And then he happened to be sleeping over the covers, and then she got upset to see that and called him a jerk. He purposefully slept over the covers so that she would have to see him naked. If he had blatantly warned her that he would be naked next time she tried to barge in, or if he had brought up the conversation before, it would be a bit different. All the times she had walked in previously, according to the post, he had said, “I’m naked and you could’ve seen!” Not, “I’m naked, please don’t come in here.” Should she barge into his room? No. Should she have to be flashed because he can’t tell her plainly not to come in? No.
As far as naked guy goes, I’m on his side. If someone was busting up in my space, they’d get one warning at most. There are no “skipped steps” here. The gf is way out of bounds and 100% in the wrong.
i’m fully on his side, i sleep naked too but even on days that i don’t i’ll wake up having taken off my clothes at some random point in my sleep. it’s not that hard to knock or ask through the door abt coffee. i mean shit i lay around naked in the middle of the day even if i’m not sleeping
Is he right? Sure. Should he have had to do anything more than he did? No. But I really think there's a solution to this where he keeps his right to privacy AND maintains his relationship with these people, one of which he sees every day, and I don't think this was the option. Should he have had to capitulate or be the one to work to prevent a problem that he isn't causing? No. But sometimes you have to if you want to get along with people. There's going to be lots of times in life where you just have to bite it in order to keep the peace. Obviously this is up to you! Sometimes going straight for the nuclear option is best, and sometimes there aren't any other options, but in this case, for his own sake, I think there was probably another way where this fallout could have been avoided. Gotta go with the other commenters on the room one - he said he repeatedly asked her to not just barge in. It’s his room. If he wants to be naked, he has every right. And the consequences she got are in line with her actions. Thoughtless or not - maybe she’ll learn her lesson.
@@tylerwellman8252 I’m pretty sure they never said he was in the wrong or a predator. I find it beyond weird that the roommate’s girlfriend KNEW he slept naked, was warned multiple times, but still barged in without knocking. It’s like she wanted to see him naked.
That was my thought process during that story too. If my boyfriend's roommate told me that he slept naked and I could possibly walk in on him with his wang completely out in the open, I wouldn't just giggle about it and continue to test my luck. If I were OP's roommate, I would've been more pissed about the fact that my girlfriend keeps going into my roommate's room knowing he's naked after having been warned several times
I think they're both in the wrong here. She shouldn't have barged in knowing he sleeps naked but he also shouldn't have slept on top of the covers to "teach her a lesson".
@averyriley3803 For that mindset to be consistent you would have to also blame the victim of a robbery for not properly locking their doors, or getting better locks, or making sure every window was shut. Victim blaming at its finest.
For the first story, shouldn’t an ICE CREAM cake be put in a freezer…? Also, if it spoiled and he put it back in the fridge and she used it, he’s basically poisoning her when she is most vulnerable!
Depends on the freezer strength/timeline for the cake pickup till the party. if it was just a few hours then it would be more than fine in the fridge and that would keep it from being too hard to easily cut. As someone that has had ice-cream cake straight from the freezer that was in there overnight it's not the best and it's too hard to easily eat.
Sometimes ice cream cakes are sold at a lower temperature than a home freezer, so they are not ready yet to be eaten, putting them in the fridge is a good way to soften them a bit and keeping them frozen enough
In general insulin CAN actually be stored at room temp for around 28 days after opening. So the insulin she threw out was actually probably still good. The roommate that took it out of the fridge is still an asshole tho
Having a Diabetic dad makes that first story insanely frustrating, especially because the guy doesn’t understand and does not care at all to understand how insulin works
Also to Damian’s point it could be real because when insulin is shipped to you it comes in a big styrophome box (idk if it does for everyone) but they could’ve maybe kept the whole thing and put it all in the fridge maybe.
@Bottle Really weird energy, the "unsure" and "idk" are literally them saying "This is a possibility based on what I know, but I wasn't there." Which is the correct answer for a person making educated guesses. Not sure why you felt that position needed attacking.
@@fatesse3135 yeah seriously, I just know that my dad insulin comes in a big styrophome box and if they put the whole thing in the fridge it could take up a lot of room, but I’m no expert and they most likely don’t use the same company to get insulin so I genuinely don’t know everything because nobody has time to give EVERY detail in a reddit post
I think the girl who didn't respect the roommate's privacy is the a**hole in the situation. He warned her this could happen and even made it seem like he would like her to stop and she didn't. I half feel like at that point, with all those warnings, she wanted to see. She was playing with fire.

Damien saying the story was fake actually makes it a fun idea to do a Reddit Story episode where the guests have to decide which stories are fake and which ones are real! Idk if this has been done already but if not it could be really fun to see!
Do you mean, have some of the crew write fake stories and then have the cast guess which were actually posted on Reddit? Or just read Reddit posts and guess which are fake? Ether way, there is no way to know if a Reddit post is real or fake, so there would be no way to know if they got it right.
For the second story, as a fellow naked sleeper, I WISH I could do that. Since I'm the gender swapped, my privacy is usually and thankfully a given, but the fact that the dude was made to look like a creep when he told her that he'd expose himself next time if she barged in rubs me the wrong way.
For the no knock roommate, he clearly told them not to do that because he told her "what if I was naked" so obviously he's made it clear she shouldn't do that
Naked sleeping guy just decided to be naked in his own private space. If someone barges in and doesn't like seeing that, it's their problem. He did nothing wrong.
He didn't "just decide" to be naked, he says that he always does. It was a known thing and she still made that decision. That's fully on her. I wont say he was in the right to take that action, but he DEFINITELY was not in the wrong.
@Alan A the fact he said he normally sleeps naked, like it was a matter of time - only he (and who he tells) would ever know if it was intentional or accidental.
On top of that. this feels like such an american reaction from Smosh cast. I bet if he insinuated, "I have a gun and if I was disoriented and throught you were a burglar, you might get hurt." I bet they would barely bat an eye. Because that is a legitimate response in their society. But GOD FORBID she is "FORCED" (Barges in) on a naked MAN as he is trying to SLEEP.... Sorry smosh crew but I feel your reaction to his funny, and very straight forward lesson prank is a little 'puritan'. She decided to do so, and knew he slept naked.... Also. On a personal note I had a girl do this to me too who was a "friend" and I later surmised it was definitely her way of trying to see people naked. She did it while pple (mostly guys who are 'conventionally attractive') are in the bathroom, getting changed at pool /beach stalls, and sleeping naked. She caught me sleeping naked in the morning also, after sneaking in my room "to get a brush". I happened to not be using sheets that night because it was hot af..... Definitely NOT a coincidence.... Soooo yeah. Wouldn't be surprised if this girl was also having the same mentality....
As a type 1 diabetic myself, that story TERRIFIED me and is the exact reason I do keep a mini fridge in my room specifically for insulin. Keeping it in the wrong temp environment can make it not effective at lowering ur blood sugar and can lead to DKA which is fatal without medical intervention(i myself have stayed in the ICU twice after developing DKA, a week each time) and dka can go from 0 to 60 in less than a day. You may not die that day, but you would be puking and possibly becoming comatose without access to effective insulin. And here in the US, it could cost hundreds/thousands to replace.
I'm a T1 also and I've had so many roommates before I got married and NONE of them would EVER have dared do something like that. So disrespectful. I have a mini fridge in my bedroom now for juices and quick snack grabs for lows, but I did, at times, keep a bit of insulin in there as an emergency stash.
Holy sht. I did not know that about DKA. And I totally had the wrong image of how the body is "fixed" after going to the ER with that issue, "oh you just go in and get some meds and you're good in a few hours." A week each time. Wow. Hope you are doing well these days!
Dude literally said, "if you come into my room without knocking, you could see my junk". Chick actually giggles in response to that. Then continues to do exactly what he said not to do or she may be exposed. Her choosing to ignore his warning is HER fault. She had a choice and she chose incorrectly. She KNEW at the time she opened his door that she COULD be exposed and still chose to open the door without knocking anyway. Accountability goes both ways. If anything, SHE was the instigator and HE was the victim. He doesn't need random people's permission to sleep naked in the privacy of his own room. Did he know she'd walk in? Yes. Was she warned in advance? Also, yes. She exposed HERSELF to his junk when she opened the door knowing full well that his junk might be out, regardless of whether he was naked intentionally or not. It bothers me that Courtney and Shayne would view this girl in any way as a victim.
They called her a asshole to tho i agree with them honestly but i will say the woman is the main asshole the guy isn’t necessarily an asshole it was just a kinda weird thing to do i get if maybe she walked in and he was sleeping how he normally does and maybe the covers weren’t completely covering him and she saw something and then everyone called him a creep in that scenario then yes ofc no he’s not the asshole he didn’t do anything there but he purposely slept on top of his covers knowing she would walk in it wasn’t an accident or anything he purposely slept like that in order for her to see him naked and teach her a lesson that’s wat makes him a little weird there in conclusion tho he definitely is still a victim in some ways and Courtney was a bit harsh

My ex-boyfriend had a female roommate who would always barge into his room without knocking. a few times she walked in on us having sex and would just sit on his bed and talk to us like we weren't covering our naked bodies up with sheets. We talked to her SO many times about it, but eventually had to start pushing a chair up against the door. It was infuriating. I wish she had been scandalized by our naked bodies bc that would've solved the problem real quick
"This is a reddit response" i love that dismissal of the very reasonable and realistic take that "you have every right to privacy in your own room." You do. What on earth?
Honestly when Courtney compared the reasoning to "well flashers could say that" I got a little upset. Like I guess but flashers are deliberately trying to violate someone compared to the actual situation where someone continues to break boundaries and has made it clear they aren't concerned with the risk/consequences so they were fast tracked to learning the lesson.
"I know it's delicious" in remark to the "I've been feeding you lead paint for years" remark is even more hilarious now that they've discovered lead in lunchables (which are delicious).
I don't think you should have to jump through a bunch of hoops to have privacy in your own room. Is what he did the best thing he could've done? No. Is he in the wrong? No. It's not up to him to teach this woman common decency in the most hand-holding way possible. I'm honestly shocked the roommate wasn't uncomfortable with his girlfriend barging into his roommate's room.
That guy and his roommate were likely in college, given that he mentioned studying often in the evenings. Probably means that the GF was still breaking out of bad habits from living with her family. Doesn't excuse what she did, but I agree with Damien, Shayne, and Courtney that he definitely should've taken other steps to talk to her and his roommate and properly communicate those issues before going with the nuclear option, especially since the way he set it up definitely comes off even worse than it already was.
@@alertArchitect I disagree. To me, the blame rests entirely on the girl. OP has every right to do whatever he wants In the privacy of his own room. He had already had multiple conversations with her about respecting his boundaries. The bottom line is that she once again disregarded basic decency and violated his privacy. How is he at fault for her actions?
I agree with Max/Yvonne/Reddit on this one. They're all fucking adults, no matter what kind of household you grew up in, once you're an adult and living in the real world, you have to learn that someone's bedroom, ESPECIALLY in a shared living situation, is a PRIVATE room. As long as it is legal, it is totally up to the owner of that room what they do in the privacy of that room, and it is the responsibility of those who violate that privacy if they witness something they didn't want to. Putting the responsibility on him to confront the girlfriend/his roommate when SHE is the one violating HIS privacy is victim-blaming bullshit. Hell, had he not said anything, would they have reacted the same way if he had just happened to be sleeping deeply and tossed and turned enough that he was no longer covered, and she barged in? It's the same end result, and him even bringing up the fact, "jokingly" or not, that she might see something because he sleeps nude was already him being pushed to reveal private details about his life that no one has a right to know, in order to attempt to make this person stop violating his privacy.
@@Aftershk Yep. And I know everyong hates the reverse the sexes trope. But look at it like that. If a MAN was barging into a WOMAN's room like that, everyone would be on the woman's side saying it's not her job to play Mommy to a man two years older than her. And a grown adult at that.

she's definitely the asshole, but it's more of communicating in a better way, like sitting down the roommate, girlfriend's friends, or just something else. Sometimes it's about keeping the peace and i think OP could've tried more to do that.
@@liv9194 It's infinitely obvious that they had had several conversations with both the roommate and his gf about this, like I can't grasp how you heard that story and thought that was the first thing he did

He warned her that she could see him naked if she barged in like that and she /giggled/ and said she didn't, so it was fine. 15:00 The girlfriend is not a child. If she was told that hey you might see something you don't want to see if you keep barging in and she keeps doing it that's on her. That's not her guardian she is her own person if she's making dumb choices she's making dumb choices.
I’m so glad these comments are unanimously rejecting the verdict on the second story. OP is NTA for being comfortable in his own space. And although he never said he sat them down and talked to them, he made his request that she knock well known every morning and she continually ignored said request.
It's an ESH verdict for me. He slept naked on top of the covers specifically to make her see and "teach her a lesson". If that's just how he slept and it happened on accident then absolutely not the asshole. But he admitted that he had the intention of making her see his jibblits. That is exposure. They are both the asshole, majorly.
When it comes to the roommate he did nothing wrong, he’s not “exposing himself” in the privacy of his own bedroom, that’s his safe place. She’s in violation by barging in ESPECIALLY when it’s not her home.
She made a routine of walking into his room without knocking. He knew this, expected her to walk in his room, and decided to sleep without covers. That is flashing someone.
@@Tune33338 He's not flashing anyone. He is in his own room, in his own private comfort space and can do whatever he wants. He's not bothering anyone. Something that nobody talks about is that we only know OP slept on top of the blanket with the purpose of shocking the girl because we read his perspective. From her perspective, she could not have known that. It's something that would've very likely happened naturally anyway because it's his private space. But she still told her boyfriend (OP's roommate) that he did do it on purpose. She was trying to gaslight her boyfriend and paint his roommate (OP) in a negative light because she knew she had done something wrong and didn't want to face the consequences. 100% the villain.
Absolutely she's a fucking sex pest and honestly should probably be in jail. I mean if a guy barged in on me like that I'd probably have pulled a knife or something. But because it's a man being intruded on no one cares at fucking all. Dude took a higher road than I would have, not saying much but still. She got some sick sort of joy from invading his privacy and almost catching him and knew she had to spin that narrative her way so no one would stop to think why the fuck she was doing this repeatedly with warning of why not too.
Absolutely. I could buy the argument of the boyfriend/roommate being misled by his gf. But she is 100% borderline slandering OP. Especially since unless I misheard, they also started telling other friends about the situation.
His door was closed. That's his private space. He could be changing his clothes, sleeping naked or whatever he wants to do. It's HIS space. She crossed the line on multiple occasions, and dismissed him when he said anything about it with a giggle. She's 100% in the wrong!
Imagine basically breaking into someone's house and calling the cops because they were naked - that's the ridiculousness level of the roommate coming in without knocking story. He had every right to be in wherever state of undress he wanted to because his room is HIS. No one can dictate what he should wear to sleep so that he doesn't "flash" his roommate when she barges in like she has any right to to that. It's basic human decency to respect others' privacy and it also works to shield us from accidentally seeing something we'd rather not see. She's the asshole and should learn what boundaries are.

For the second roommate, this is nothing like exhibitionists turning it around and blaming the victim for looking. It's actually the complete opposite. It's like, for example, some creepy guy barging in the room of a woman he knows is sleeping naked, and then acting like she flashed him.
Yes, even if this has happened before, and she intentionally slept on top of the covers to prove a point. You could argue whether that was the smartest thing for her to do, but at the end of the day, that's no reason to victim blame.
It reaaaaally seemed like they were defending her just because she’s a girl. Like if the story was reversed and a guy barged into a womans room after warning him she’d be nude, they would absolutely go after the guy calling him a creep. The girl in that story was just as much of a creep but the double standard was loud in this video
damien is such a breath of fresh air, on these episodes of reddit stories especially, i cant really explain but i think i just agree with all of his takes and relate or connect to him a lot. love whenever he speaks in this kind of format :-)
I’m glad I’m not the only one who did not fully agree with the 2nd story’s take. When I heard it, I was like “yeah, f that girl.” She literally put herself in that situation. You shouldn’t even have to ASK for privacy in YOUR own space. Hopefully she learns to not overstep boundaries with future roommates
Legitimately can not believe y’all tried to call the guy sleeping naked in his own room that he pays for in the wrong. Honestly seems like crazy mental gymnastics to demonize the dude.
For the naked roommate story, I definitely don’t agree with their take. However, I honestly think they forgot parts of the story that made them come to that conclusion. Purposely sleeping naked on top of the covers would be a wild first step (in my opinion). However, it was mentioned that OP stated the girlfriend could possibly see him exposed if she didn’t start knocking, and she laughed it off. I also think Damien’s take was reasonable where OP told her he would be sleeping on top of the covers from now on, but it seems he might have done that as well. Since, the boyfriend said that OP had mentioned doing this on purpose before, which (in his reasoning) was a testament of why he had to of done it on purpose that one time. I also agree with some comments that say if the gender roles where swapped, they probably would have looked at this story different. In the end, OP shouldn’t have had to take the step he did just to gain privacy in his own room.
I agree 100% with your comment. I also think it's strange they didn't question the girlfriends motives more. If the genders were reversed I would certainly wonder why a guy would come barging into a girls room if she warned him she was naked. It seems like the girlfriend maybe even wanted to see something she shouldn't have.
Why are we splitting hairs over if his actions were appropriate or not? He was in HIS bed, behind a CLOSED door, SLEEPING...there's an expectation of privacy there. Why should he even have to announce that he sleeps naked or what position he'll be sleeping in when he sleeps behind a closed door?! He shouldn't need to specifically tell an adult not to let herself into his room but he did, multiple times, and she continued. The roommate & gf are 100% wrong
@@candiedolives5340’m sorry if the way I wrote my original comment caused any misunderstanding, but I do agree that the couple are 100% in the wrong. That’s why I made the comment “in the end, OP shouldn’t have had to take the step he did just to gain privacy in his own room.” This was more of my personal analysis of why the cast came to the conclusion they did rather than one on the situation itself.
My favourite spite to a room mate was one who would regularly steal my food - I made 6 litres of Phaal. 3 types of chillies, much ginger and garlic - it was beautiful. The cooking process took 14 hours. They stole some during the cooking process and their mates shouted at me a few days later. Apparently it made her cry for about 8 hours. My chilli fiend friends loved it.
The last story is insane, and they were right how she was really mature in being like “that’s fine, she can live life however”, but the fact that the person got mad at her for being dishonest “towards her” and then continually attacking her afterwards??? That’s so scary and I really hope that OP’s school recognizes that and does something to make sure she feels safe
Fr, and the way Smosh responded to it was worrying to me bc people who engage in these behaviors can be real scary. It's one thing to be trauma informed and aware about MH, but sometimes trying to avoid judging someone for being mentally ill ends up dooming and gaslighting their victims. Gotta focus on preventing harm before you start working on taking accountability. In fact, you're literally taught in psychology, when you see people engaging in these behaviors, to focus on helping the people they're fixated on get away from them, instead of tryna help the person get better. Therapy ends up giving them ammo for doing more harm, so you're taught to focus on mitigating the harm they can cause to others, not treating the disorder. That's how dangerous it is.
In the second story he explicitly says that he told them multiple times to not come into his room. She CHOSE to open the door knowing he sleeps naked, it comes off like she was invalidating his feelings and privacy for her own convenience
Yes that's why they're both the assholes. It's an immature way of handling things. How are people not getting the point that it's incredibly immature and irresponsible to resort to exposing yourself to make someone understand something. If he'd legit been naked and uncovered that's one thing, but he purposefully left the covers off. That's weird. In life if someone else does the wrong thing first it doesn't validate you being immature. That's what they meant when they said it was a 'reddit response'. Clearly the people in these comments are the same. Like bloody hell handle things like a decent adult.
@@notaspeck6104 I agree its immature but like its his home. He has every right to be as naked as he wants to be in his private space. It shouldn't be his responsibility to keep someone from going into his home unsolicited. Hell sleeping above the covers naked isn't even a bad thing anyways. That could have easily just been the way he sleeps comfortably normally. She went into his room, she invaded his privacy, she is in the wrong.
@@dinorhino8816 it’s possible, but he did tell her directly. i also struggle with social cues, and obviously every person is different. however he directly told her, “if you come into my room without knocking you WILL see me naked”. direct communication is really important especially if you struggle with social cues, and even if she did i think she’s still in the wrong.

if i walk into someone’s backyard and look in their window while they’re getting changed, i don’t get to say they exposed themselves to me. what someone does in privacy is their business. nobody will see this, but this take had me YELLING at my tv
The roommate invading in dudes room story was infuriating. It's actually grounds for voiding the lease for peaceful enjoyment where I live, and seems like an awful invasion of privacy. Holy shit.
I was super confused about your take on the naked on top of covers thing. The dude LITERALLY told this girl MULTIPLE TIMES that he sleeps naked and this could happen. She GIGGLED and said ' Yeah but I didn't'. Someone please explain how she is not the pervert here? We all toss and turn, he could have easily exposed his genitalia in his sleep and this could have happened either way. And the fact is that this girl KNEW this info and did it anyway...
She was definitely the creep here, but I think they both were. Sure, he could've accidentally exposed himself, but he didn't. He did it on purpose KNOWING she would come in and see. Both parties are in the wrong there.
@UltimateBoxClear This wasn't man flashing to get his rocks off. He had drawn boundaries. He had explained why. Was he supposed to sit there and let her violate his space till it occurred happenstance? It isn't like he sat there jacking off waiting for her. He literally just slept on top of his covers naked in the privacy of his own room. He explained what could happen, and it's not his fault it did. If she had suddenly decided to respect him, his boundaries, and his privacy it never would've happened. The mental gymnastics required to vilify this guy is wild.
I’m wondering how they know he did it on purpose? If he didn’t come out and say he did it on purpose I’d assume it was an accident. If he was bragging about his funny prank after the fact, and left that part out, I could see him being the ah.
Naked roommate is not the asshole in my opinion as Shayne said it’s his room doesn’t matter if it was intentional the principal is it’s his room. His roommate and gf are the asshole
Full agree. They're looking at it solely from the lens of "he did it to prove a point," but he always slept naked. What if he just decided to sleep uncovered that night? Or if he uncovered himself in his sleep? He intentionally decided to sleep naked, above the sheets, IN HIS ROOM. That is all that's important. He is responsible for no one else. It is not his job to talk/work something out with her for his own space.
Hard same. Also, why was the discussion about him being creepy for sleeping naked "knowing she would see him" and not "she keeps repeatedly barging into his room without asking WITH THE KNOWLEDGE THAT HE SLEEPS NAKED." That would honestly make ME super uncomfortable. Like, why does this b wanna see me naked so bad? Gross.
The irony of Courtney praising the last OP for saying she would blame the bf for staring at the roommate in a towel but in the naked roommate story saying the girlfriend barging in and looking is the innocent one. Double standard much?
Yeah, and I wholeheartedly agreed with the comment that courtney refuted. He did NOT expose himself to her. The roommate's girlfriend forced him to do that. If she hadn't been breaking the social contract of privacy in one's bedroom, then she wouldn't have put herself into that situation. It's not like she's a victim here, he is. She's a peeping tom
I hope they do a show responding to comments when people disagree with them. The 2nd story is insane. She shouldn’t have been going in his room without knocking at all. It’s common sense, OP didn’t owe her an explanation as to why she should knock first, the door was closed!!!

Good thing is it’s almost guaranteed that story is fake

Look, if they collect world war 2 or cold war era items, or play world of tanks, don't move in with them, it's that simple
NTA.
Same. I'd have done the same thing. And come to think of it. I wonder if the genders were reversed would these hosts still think OP is the ahole?
Thank you, I thought I was losing it
I'm glad I'm not the only one, guys.
Yeah, the roommate’s girlfriend wanted an eyeful and she got it

this this this this.

The naked sleeping roommate story infuriates me to no end. If you just walk into a room you get whatever you see. Not just common courtesy, but depending on where you live. You can actually get into decent legal trouble depending on what you see. As a private room, has an expectation of privacy, and would be held to the same standard as walking in on someone in the bathroom. The repeated behavior would absolutely make argument that it atleast "could be" accidental.
so glad that the comments agreed with me. im not one to comment often but the way they were taking the girls side was honestly enraging

Reverse the rolls, dude entering her room in the morning knowing that she's naked under the covers, what do y'all feel?

Yes! Knock on the damn door. It's not her room. It's not even her apartment.
I love the cut backs to Damien tilting his head like a confused puppy
I feel like she wanted to see him exposed, either out of curiosity or cuz she likes drama.
Agreeeeeed. I didn’t agree with them on this one, it’s his personal space, if she wouldn’t barge in when he’s on the toilet then why make the risk for his bedroom when he warned her? She absolutely wanted to catch him, either to start shit or to get her own rocks off.
"you realize if you barge in you could possibly see me naked right?" "but i didnt, teehee" immeditally her fault. she knew the risks and continued
Completely! Who decides it's a good idea to ignore somebody's discomfort let alone laugh at it, and then get mad at him for what she saw in his own room!? Who decides not to knock anyway!?

Your private space is just that PRIVATE. You shouldn’t have to warn anyone you sleep naked as they shouldn’t be entering your space without knocking. He DID NOT expose himself to her. SHE is the pervert in this scenario.
The only way he would be a pervert is if she knocked and was told to come in and he was naked, but it's not the case.
@@karlatrigueros9697 I completely agree with that.
Thank youuu!
I disagree cuz nobody said the roommate was in the right in that situation everyone literally agreed that she was a creep. But he also went to 0 to 100 with the retaliation and others really have no context as if the guy had called her out before or told anyone else to talk to her
And it really was a very social media response because there is indeed the mentality that if people bother you and cross a line then any kind of response that gives drama or entertainment then is ok no matter what.
She was warned and did it anyway. She got what she deserved
And also almost sounded like a dare. Like she was interested, lightly. And then if we swap genders we actually see how their answer was so strange.
She was a creep. Period
Courtney defending this behaviour and comparing OP to sex criminals and flashers is insane. She was aware he sleeps naked, and didn't care. She was a pervert.
That's what I thought too. She probably did want to cause drama in my opinion.
the radiation one absolutely terrified me as someone who is casually interested in chemistry. Those levels of radiation are extremely dangerous, and owning that much radium that is not stored safely is definitely illegal.
Absolutely insane 😧 like radiation in the us is wild but imagine it being in the bedroom next to yours.
Is it even possible to legally acquire that vial of radium? Someone said thats a massive amount and its very dangerous, how tf do you get that???
That story can't be found anywhere on the internet outside of reddit. The prevailing concensus is that it's fiction, loosely based on the "Nuclear Boy Scout" case, but no one really knows.

I'm glad the comments are with me on the second story. With the context given, she was literally warned, and he was having his privacy invaded. But, their takes didn't make me TOO mad, either. They were being very nuanced about it, which I can appreciate.
Damien: *confused* "Why do you think I'd know specifically about radiation?"
Also Damien: "I have some uranium glass..."
😂
sorry to hijack your comment, but i have a theory. for anyone wondering what the motive for the radium guy could possibly be, he was probably collecting them with the intent to make a nuclear reactor with an old boy scout manual from the sound of it. all the stuff he was collecting were examples in the manual i think. lookup the nuclear boyscout, he actually did it as a kid and his house had to be condemned.
@@archeryan8404 but what is the purpose/goal of the nuclear boyscout? What is the achievement besides cancer

Just glad she did come home early. Imagine him putting it back after the party 😬
That’s what I was thinking the whole time too!!
What happens if you use spoiled insulin? OP was planning on putting it back after a few hours and the roomate wouldn't have known if she didn't make a surprise appearance.
As long as it's not over 86 degrees, it can stay out on average of up to 28 days
Shayne: Damien, you and I use to be roommates.
*says nothing to Courtney because they are hiding their whole relationship* *Shayne and Courtney get married 10 months after this video and are now permanent roommates*
Lol, I had the same thought re-watching this since they got married. Congrats to Shayne and Courtney becoming permanent roommates!
And he ends the video with "work relationships, they're also nuts". That's some devious 5D chess.
Agree it’s like breaking into to someone’s house and complain about seeing them naked
Glad to see the comments are in agreement about the naked situation. Good job guys, glad there’s an understanding of personal space
It’s most likely fake though so there’s that at least
Insulin expires 28 days after it was open, no matter if it’s stored in the fridge or at room temperature. You just cannot leave it out in weather of 86°F+. And this goes for rapid-acting and regular insulin
@@totalEPICness88If it was open, it would be good for a month at room temp. There is little chance that, in there apartment, it was outside the range of temperature to start rapid decay. The only way it's rapidly degrading in an environment like that, is if they put it in direct sunlight/heat for the entire party, which is pretty unlikely.
A diabetic would know this.
Literally nothing😂
im diabetic and so is my gram, you're literally recommended to take the insulin out b4 use and let it get warm, then put back in till next use. it would have been fine for at least 10-12 hours b4 refrigeration again.

They kept saying that the guy in his room DID expose himself, but he didn't. The act of opening the door is what exposed him.

He purposefully slept over the covers so that she would have to see him naked.
If he had blatantly warned her that he would be naked next time she tried to barge in, or if he had brought up the conversation before, it would be a bit different. All the times she had walked in previously, according to the post, he had said, “I’m naked and you could’ve seen!” Not, “I’m naked, please don’t come in here.”
Should she barge into his room?
Obviously I don't know that for sure, idk these people, maybe this really is the only way she would listen. But we don't know because he didn't try anything else. but that's what they mean by "skipped steps".
For the first story how are you throwing a party and saying your roommate isn’t invited?!
Thought the same thing but he’s dumb enough to take the insulin out, so probably dumb enough to not put the cake in the freezer

For the second story, that girl purposefully violated his privacy by consistently barging into his room knowing he was naked in there. That’s creepy. She’s so weird for that
yeah i’m surprised no one brought up how weird it was on the girlfriends part. especially knowing whenever he would tell her she could’ve seen something she just like… giggled.
Right? Thank you. There was definitely some gender bias involved in that discussion - you could tell that if it was a girl's private space, and the guy kept barging in, their reaction would be way different.

“They disagree with me so their take is a silly dumb little Reddit response because I’m insecure about my own opinion”

Of course you shouldn't, but sometimes you have to do things you shouldn't have to do. It's part of being an adult.

I would've been on his side if that was the case but in this situation everyine is an asshole.
He warned her that she could see him naked if she barged in like that and she /giggled/ and said she didn't, so it was fine.

And also, why the flying f were they telling other people about it?
