I would very much appreciate your comments. All opinions are important...good or bad :) If you enjoyed this tutorial and it was helpful please give us a Thumbs Up! Would you like to see more of these types of videos? Yes, No, maybe so :)
Thanks very much for doing this video. I've made about 50 of them as gifts since watching it and everyone loves it! There are not many videos on how to that are simple and straight-forward like yours, so thanks again!
My sister and I saw one that was over $20 at a craft fair. We took a picture of it (😬) and my sister made some, turned out great! Your method looks easy, so I’m making one today. Bought a kit for one, making that, but your method is quicker AND less expensive! Thank you.
Yours is the best one out there. So many others have taken making the boa scarf way too complicated. And with some of the ladies talking way to much rather than just showing how to do it. I see many others have given you similar input about the simplicity of your video here. Simple does it for me. TY
I just learned about these and made my first couple, but I must tell you that the way you make them is sooooo much easier than the way I learned. Thank you so much for sharing!!
I can't believe I'm just seeing this for the first time 2 years later, but so happy I am 😊. Thank you so much for sharing how to make these. So cute, quick and easy to make, and just in time for mother's day 👏👏👏. I have a few people that I know would love to receive one. I've never heard of or seen anything like this before but I believe I would definitely use one of those before using a apron. So thank you again. Early happy mother's day.
just came across your video after watch 3 or 4 others your seem to be straight forward n no fussing love the way you do yours cant wait to sew them up thank you
Best and easiest technique. It took me a moment to figure out that the length of the fabric is actually the width of the fabric on the bolt, so about 44 or so after cutting off the selvages. Buying those kitchen towels and cutting them in half is probably more expensive than then buying 2 nice washclothes.
Thank you for the quick and easy tutorial.. I just watched another one and had to switch off because it was soo long and complicated it actually made me want to pass up making this. Thank God for your tutorial. Keep it simple and easy is the way to go, especially for beginners like me who find detailed instructions overwhelming. Keep up the good work. You have one new subscriber to your channel :)
I'm glad I found your videos. I've been looking at patterns and they all seemed over complicated with pleads and such. For sure I'll make them with your instructions. Thanks!
I only heard about Kitchen Boas today on a Facebook quilting page. What a great idea!! I'm going to make a few for Christmas gifts...because they are so fast and easy...I actually have plenty of time to make them!! Thanks for the great tutorial!
Love it have made 5 of them for gifts. I did find that the wash clothes get bulky on the seam so I trimmed that thick edging off on the seam end and now it works really great. Thank you love them I am going to add names to mine as well.
Yes. I m so glad to come across this great tutorial. I m immediately getting all the necessary materials to stitch it immediately. I want to make a matching set for apron, boa towel as a gift for my friend
I was just thinking a few weeks ago that these were going to be my Christmas gifts for the women in my family this year, since they have everything lol. I would definitely like to see more videos like this! Thanks!
Hi 👋 I've watched alot of these videos, and I gotta say I think I love yours in compassion ❤️ the other others seemed way to complicated compared. Thanks 😊
THIS IS AMAZING! Thank you! Mother in law and Daughter saw these at a craft show, I thought they were goofy but they WANTED one! Talked them out of it, so I could make them one! Gave Daughter (14 and super good in the kitchen) the proto-type today... with Avengers fabric. LOVES IT!
this is a great tutorial for the neck boa. i love the speed of your method, and that your video is so quick to view and easy to follow. wish i had come across this in 2018, but happy to find it now in early 2021. now off to the sewing machine. thanks!
HELP i have a problem, im hooked on maing these Ive made 10 in 2 days & Im planning make more tomorrow I totally love making these I even made a longer one for my hubby :) ty for the tutorial :)
Yay! That is fantastic :) I had someone at my quilt shop the other day say they were going to make one for their husband for him to use in his workshop :)
That is very clever i have only just found your video and as a retired person i am always looking for new ideas i make things for our Church stalls I lone your work
Well better late than never to see your video. Oh my how much easier you made this. I’ll be making lots for Christmas gifts. Thank you for taking the time to make the video and showing a much easier way!!
I love these. See them at a craft fair today and said to myself I could make them. And found your video and you make it look so easy. I've got a question. How long is the fabric you use?
Thanks so much! Some of the videos are so complicated and yours is easy and to the point. I'm going to make some for Christmas. My daughter in law loves everything Dinosaurs, she will be so excited to open up a Kitchen boa in her stocking with dino fabric!
Came across your video on hopes that I can sew these as gifts for my friends. What is the length of the fabric, in between the two washcloths? If you said, I didn't hear you. Thanks for the video. It was simple to understand.
I cut mine by width of fabric which is 42 inches but you can make shorter as I am 5’ 7” tall 😀 so it depends on the height of the user. So between 32” and 42” would work for everyone. Thanks for watching!
I made this boa towel following your video. It was wonderful. I have a question and am seeking some advice on making an apron bib. Can I send you a photo?
I just seen this for the first time and this September 20, 2020. I will be making a few of these for Christmas. You didn't state the length of fabric just said the width???? Thanks!!
Love this! Now, I have been out of the sewing loop.......what is the gadget called, that you are using to hold the fabric down.....it appears its holds the ruler as well.......sorry, i feel silly asking this!

Thank You! The length is width of fabric which is normally 42” but you could adjust because that may be long for some. The width is determined by the width of your washcloth or towel.
Hey there hey! I just found you and I'm so excited! When you use the dish cloth do you just cut it in half at the width and then fold it half with the edges touching in the center?
Thank you I s aw one in a store and it seemed so easy. I watched your video and then promptly made two. Thank you so much great video and keep the great work up.
What a fun and simple gift idea! Love it I think even I can figure out how to make one of them lol BTW where did you get your ruler thingy with the handle? That is slick!
I'm curious, I noticed that you cut the material straight from the bolt and made your boa, but I've always been trained to wash and iron new material before you sew it. Have I been lied to all these years?
It depends. If you are sewing garments then you would prewash or if you are using cheap fabric from a big box store versus a local quilt shop or fabric store. It has been a debate forever. So do as you wish.
I just learned of these today and bought kitchen towels thinking I would cut them in half. Do you think that would work ok? Your tutorial is great! Easy Christmas gift!
+Ann McIntosh Yes that would work. That is how I made one of my first ones 😊. Thanks for watching! If you have any other questions or other tutorials you would be interested in please let me know.
@@TheBrokenNeedle Can you tell me why you would need to cut a kitchen towel in half? And if so, which way would you cut it? I am new to this but would love to make these for Christmas gifts.
Susan Childers I would cut the kitchen towel in half by width because it would hang down too long if not. That was the case with one hand towel that I used. When I used wash cloths they seemed to be the perfect length. It’s really up to you 😊
@@TheBrokenNeedle I am wondering if maybe you could fold the towel in half lengthwise and maybe turn it into a pocket? Maybe stitch up the towel sides first, then stitch it onto the fabric?

How wide was the fabric you used?
CHERYL COLE Hi 😊 the width of the fabric is determined by the width of your towel or washcloth. Ex : washcloth is 10” the fabric would be cut 10”
What widrh did everyone use 36 or 44. I already know that its cut to match the towel. But how long did you make them?
CHERYL COLE the fabric I used was 44”
