Hi Maangchi! I don’t drink alcohol but who cares!! I’ll go to my Asian store and buy welk and try this one out, looks so delicious and refreshing. Always love your recipes 🌺🌺
Maangchi, I just watched a korean reality show (like half an hour ago) where the hosts cooked golbaengi-muchim, served with beer. I just finished watching the show and went to youtube for a change. And I found this video! What a coincidence! Is the universe telling me to make golbaengi muchim too??? 😄
Thank you for this recipe. I have seen whelks in the Korean grocery story but never bought them because I didn't know what to do with them. I will try this.
@@Maangchi Thank you Maangchi, I will. I love your videos and learning about making Korean food which is so unique and delicious. And I love your sense of humor. You always make me smile 😊

Good video & you know what I first had this at my friend's mother's house I thought I wouldn't like it but I was wrong. However she glazed the pair I don't know if that's a custom in certain areas of Korea or not
Hello miss thank you for your wonderful super delicious amazing yummy Recipe and thank you for your video enjoy 💕♥️💕💜💜💜🎋🎋💛❤️♦️🟥🌺🌺💙🔴🟪🟪😘😘🟠🟠🟠😍🟧🔵🔵🟪🔴🟥♦️♦️♦️
A lot of the canned whelks in Korean supermarkets are harvested in Newfoundland (on the east coast of Canada), then shipped to Korea for processing and canning, and finally shipped back to North America for sale. Globalization, I suppose.
this looks delicious because of the fresh natural ingredients although i would tone down the sweetness a bit though, although i would like to try the korean snail you can always compensate with other seafood or light korean meats instead, i'm curious to try this 😋😋
Dear Maangchi, when I was in Busan in 1979 I went to the big market in the city. I was new to Korea and didn't know anything about the food. I saw people eating something from a big wok on a cart and when I got closer, the woman handed me a pair of chopsticks and I started eating tteokbokki from the wok like the others. When I was finished she pointed to a glass of water and I understood she wanted me to put the chopsticks in it. Then she told me how much to pay (well, she showed me some money and I understood that was what I was supposed to pay). As the people ate, she watched and counted what each person ate and gave them the price for their lunch. That was fun, but what I wanted to ask you about is a simple dumpling that I also ate at the market. It was filled with a small about of rice. It was shaped like a gyoza or Chinese dumpling, but just contained rice. It was very simple, but really good. I wonder if you ever heard of this type of dumpling and if you know what they are called. Thank you!
Hi Maangchi, what a great recipe, I am going to buy the ingredients to make this dish. But I don't want it spicy, so how can I make it so it's not too spicy?? And as always, take care and love to you all 💕💗💕

Yum... Got to do this.
Looks delicious!! Can I make this with fresh whelks? They are much, much cheaper than the canned whelks at my local market.
A lot of the canned whelks in Korean supermarkets are harvested in Newfoundland (on the east coast of Canada), then shipped to Korea for processing and canning, and finally shipped back to North America for sale. Globalization, I suppose.

Hi Maangchi, can you teach us how to make golbaengi-tang with frozen whelk if you have a chance? Thanks!
Hi maangchi ! Can you make cilantro kimchi ? 😅 I saw it on a korean show.
Instead of Welk can we use other alternatives? Thanks maanchi
Hey Maangchi, can I use apples instead of pears? Pears are rare and expensive here. And also, does this go well with white rice instead of noodles?

@@이홍홍-q2e I just assumed it was a poor person and she used the only ingredients she had.
@@이홍홍-q2e Thank you for the great information!

Hi Maangchi, what a great recipe, I am going to buy the ingredients to make this dish. But I don't want it spicy, so how can I make it so it's not too spicy?? And as always, take care and love to you all 💕💗💕
Sauce is same as cho-jang?
