  • Our 300 acre eco resort is 100% off-grid, so our power resources are very limited. Despite this, we still have hot water around the clock by using something we can find right on the jungle floor: cohune nuts! These incredible power houses were very important to the Mayans that lived here thousands of years ago and it’s fun to think they may have used them to heat water as well!
Follow us as we show you all about the cohune tree and these incredible nuts that have so much to give.

I love what you are doing! My wife and I have been planning to build an eco friendly mini resort in Belize for about a year. We want to offer adventures to the reef and will most likely end up building off grid in the far north of Ambergris Caye. CA t wait for your next update! Cheers, Tristan

Haha yes some people may not! But it can get surprisingly chilly during certain parts of the year, and in the early mornings.
