Breathing new life into a 300 acre eco resort in the primal jungles of Belize. Wild stuff is bound to happen. Join us as we chase the good life, and reconnected with the wild things in life amongst the wild of the jungle.
Cave Tubing in Belize
Join us as we explore one of the most popular tours at our resort in Belize: Cave Tubing! This unforgettable adventure starts with an easy hike through the jungle to the mouth of a giant cave where you’ll gently float through a cave for about 20 minutes. The inside of the cave has beautiful formations, a large waterfall (don’t worry, you don’t go down it), and small and large passageways. After emerging from the cave, you’ll continue tubing on the river and may get a glimpse of some howler monkeys or beautiful birds. This tour is family friendly, and our guests frequently say it’s their favorite tour. We will definitely go back with the kids!

FIGHT TO THE DEATH - Spearfishing for GIANT Grouper in Ocean!
Просмотров 3532 месяца назад
Our leisurely trip to Blackbird Caye, a small island off the coast of Belize, quickly turned into an intense fight to the death to catch a giant grouper nearly 45 feet down. Lance’s strong swimming and breath-holding skills helped him navigate several free dives to finally catch the grouper and fulfill a more than 20 year dream of Lance’s. It’s these kinds of moments that help us feel truly ali...
Farmer's Market in a Foreign Country

Everyone wants to know where we get our food for the resort restaurant. The Belmopan market happens twice a week and is THE place to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. The abundance is delightful. We love going as a family to enjoy the fresh fruit juices, eat street food, shop local foods and go home with all the fresh fruits and vegetables.
Our Beach Resort NIGHTMARE
Просмотров 2,5 тыс.2 месяца назад
Our dream of renovating a paradise beach resort in Belize quickly turned into a nightmare situation when the entire coast of Belize got pounded by a huge mass of sargassum, a seaweed that has gotten completely out of control as a result of global warming. The consequences were staggering - a horrible smell, nearly impossible to clean up, and toxic fumes that make anyone that breaths it in feel ...

Our resort in Belize is next door to the largest soursop farm in the world! We hadn't even heard of this fruit before moving to Belize and now we can't get enough. Not only is the fruit delicious, it also has a very long list of health benefits! We love serving this unique fruit to our guests and helping them experience something new. A huge shoutout to TKO farms for being such wonderful neighb...
We Built A Vertical Garden In The Jungle
Просмотров 6504 месяца назад
It can be tricky getting fresh organic produce in the middle of the primal jungles of Belize, so starting our own garden was one of our first priorities. These 50 aeroponics towers are extremely efficient, allowing us to have over 2,000 plants in a very small area. These towers will feed our family of 6, our team members and all our guests, feeding up to 50 people! Come along with us as we star...

Love your channel, the Caribbean is so beautiful
Yum
That was a nice fish.
Hello neighbor
Hello! Where do you live?
@@chasing.wild_ looking for something in the cayo district but now we’re in Placencia
I sure wouldn't want a hot shower in belize!😂
Haha yes some people may not! But it can get surprisingly chilly during certain parts of the year, and in the early mornings.
Normally, if you cut the lettuce above the root, you can get 3-4 more heads. It’s called cut and come again method. Does that not work with hydroponics?
That is a really good question! I do believe for some of the produce you can just trim and it will grow back, but I'm not sure about lettuce. We will look into it!
That,s guyabano in the philippines❤
Not the Philippines! This is Belize.
Ah sorry I see you mean it's called something different in the Philippines. Thanks!
Congrats, that was a nice fish.
Thanks so much! It was so tasty.
Sounds like you dodged a bullet honestly - just imagine if that contract had gone through or you lost a bunch of earnest money.
Yes, we're definitely grateful things worked out the way they did!
I have been buying property in Belize since 2003. Unless you visit and go a few times to learn about the locals do not buy. I only buy land in corazol now as most of Belize is a sh@t hole. I would never buy on the islands you can never find competent workers there and everything costs 10x to build. Everything is built cheap and is falling apart
We'll have to check Corazol out for sure!
i cal this fruit in indonesia is SIRSAK
Ah, that’s the first I’ve heard of that name. Thank you for sharing.
you can boil this leaf for herbal medicine@@chasing.wild_
wow thats butuful
Thanks so much. It was a dream to catch it.
Great experience, thanks for sharing it!
Thanks Jason!
Congratulations, That's a nice looking fish.
Thank you, it was so beautiful.
Hi! We are going to be moving close by to Merida Mexico in the next couple of months!!! I think what your doing is amazing maybe we can come and visit your resort
Thank you! We’d love to meet you in person
Breakfast tacos are staple here in San Antonio! I have a breakfast taco, or two, like once a week! Usually bacon and egg, chorizo and egg, or potatoe and egg. Some get fancy with brisket or guisado. Funny enough, they don’t do breakfast burritos though!
Ah good to know! I guess I’m just not familiar with all the breakfast taco places in the US!
I'm from McAllen TX I would have to save SA tacos are decent 😂
Agreed. It’s a big deal in TX… Like breakfast bagels in Northeast
This makes me cry!
I cry every time I watch it. It takes me right back to those emotions. Such a challenging time.
The Belmopan market is also my favorite part of living here! I find such joy every time we go for pretty much all of the reasons you mention in this video. Now, I need to try craboo. 😄
It is a joyful place! Haha yes please let us know what you think of it.
I know here in the U.S most kids ask if they can have a dog but can your kids get a monkey? That would make me so happy. LOL
Hahaha I don't think that would go over very well. Those monkeys can be sassy!
These fruits came from California ruclips.net/user/shortsCQFYUaMRn6U?si=SpeQ3n4ztDuvYpPQ
Thanks for posting, I will take this as a sign ✌
Haha yes!
Err...check your facts.
Which ones?
@@chasing.wild_ hi, sorry, reading my comment, it sounds kind of rude. Anyway, I didn't mean it so. But you will see Soursop fruiting in the US. Florida, California and Hawaii all grow Soursop. I have eaten Soursop in a Florida grove.
Talk about resilient- one day at time keep on keeping on
Thank you! We couldn't have known how great it would turn out in the end.
So stressful but stoked how everything has turned out.
For sure!
It's obviously seasonal and runs the entire Mesoamerican reef system from cancun to Guatemala. This is why I bought on the west side of the island, the bay side.
So smart! We have definitely talked about that.
Could of open a Sargassum smoothie shop. LOL
I think I just threw up a little in my mouth. Haha
Hi Chasing Wild...nice to meet you...nice content
Nice to meet you!
Is this in Merida Yucatán ??
This is in Belize!
Very close to the Yucatan.
Your adventure is so amazing and you guys are so cute! I love each episode you post! Do you remember if you got my Christmas letter?
Yes! We did get your Christmas letter and were so happy to see it. Thank you for sending it and thinking about us each year.
Soursop is Delicious. Not to mention it’s multiple health benefit’s as well.
Yes for sure!
Sour Sop is so delicious. My mouth is watering already. I've had sour sop smoothies but sour sop cheesecake will be so delicious!
It is one of those foods that is guaranteed mouth watering when I see it.
I love seeing how you guys are enjoying your new life in Belize, I've been watching a lot of fishing video's and Belize has great fishing too. Do you guys fish?
Thank you Rich! Lance caught a huge grouper a few weeks ago and we'll be publishing the video soon!
I love what you are doing! My wife and I have been planning to build an eco friendly mini resort in Belize for about a year. We want to offer adventures to the reef and will most likely end up building off grid in the far north of Ambergris Caye. CA t wait for your next update! Cheers, Tristan
Love it! We would love meet you guys. Come see us in the jungle!
How much did it cost!?
So much fun! It is fun to see how excited the kids are about the gardens. I am so glad you are sharing these adventures! We love watching your videos!
Thank you so much Jeni! Thank you for the support!
P r o m o S M 💯
Although the dosatrons will keep the individual reservoirs topped up with nutrient, you will need to check and adjust the PH/EC in each reservoir. Using the recommended timing cycle will result in a power consumption of up to 11kw per day. Its a lot considering the plants in each tower will only actually consume around 2 gallons per day. You should consider returning the 50x 45w pumps for a refund and install a centralized pump, which is much more energy efficient and involve far less maintenance. Hopefully you are not using the mineral blend nutrient, its a fairly weak formulation and very overpriced.
Wow, thank you so much for these tips!
@@chasing.wild_ Glad it was of use. I have a couple of 35 site aeroponic towers that are super productive and use very little in the way of water or power. With 50 towers, it would pay to formulate your own nutrients if you have an agricultural chemical supplier in the area. You`ll save a small fortune on nutrient costs :)
I'm so impressed!! Your mom was telling me all about this garden and I'm so glad you shared it! Hope to get down there this year!
Thank you Amy!
