Exactly, but don't buy that Dragon Quest Builders, that is the most worthless ever, it's basically minecraft. I do not approve
More a fusion of Minecraft and Terraria but with a story.
Only negative thing I've heard about it is that you can't select a certain amount of a wall (either all or one piece) to repair or something.
Is a localization worth it being ripped apart and put back together to emulate Adventure Time? At this point in time, depending on how the TPP goes, it's better to just learn Japanese until people get sick of memes and todays cartoons.

This, Shantae, Dead Rising 4 and SMT 4 and possibly Let It Die. I'd be more invested in the new Zelda if I had a Wii U.

personally, id suggest DQ 4, 5, or 8 before this one.
i tried it on PS1 when i was a kid and hated it. i havent gotten a chance to try it since then, but ive played a good handful of DQ games since. it might be a great DQ, but if you dont like DQ, it might not be so great....
Dragon Quest 8 is still the greatest. Haven't tried this one though.
+justdontask3 they said they really streamlined it to make it more enjoyable and not as grind heavy as the ps1 version. I know what you are talking about on how the ps1 version was a bit too much.
I would suggest playing Dragon Quest V it is my favorite Dragon Quest.

I'd be happy with just 1-3 remakes on a multicart. Never heard it called a multicart before, but I like it.
Chinese KO carts for GB to DS have had onoffical carts with 52 games in one cart, though they are crappy 8 bit games of NES era. Nintendo can make their own official releases in high quality.

I'm watching this without sound and immediatly had the main theme in my head playing for the whole trailer. I'm so hyped for this game! The release excites me more than 90% of what's been announced at this year's E3.
I am super excited for this. Dragone quest 9 was awesome and this looks similar game play wise.
hey i come from the future, and in all honesty, i wish DQ9 had gotton a 3ds remake, it would've looked awesome, if not kind of silly, but this one is AMAZING, im re-playing as we speak (Yet to be it on my main but thats besides the point

Turn-based RPGs are rare and valuable! Glad its being done by someone other than Pokemon, because this genre really benefits from diversity and the Pokemon franchise has its shortcomings.

Why not release Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 in North America?
I so want a new dragon quest monsters game, but at least in this game you can kinda get monster followers (kinda).
Its already out in japan since march, but I don't have a japanese ds, and don't wanna attempt to translate any of it, haha.

Finally!! I've been waiting to play this remake for so long :D
Definitely excited for this! I've been trying to get into this series, so far I've only played the first one on Android and while it's simple, I'm enjoying it so far (I know it's very different from this game by the way). So knowing this is coming out soon is perfect!

0:13 Best explosion ever: 10/10. With those amazing sound effects, you can visualize the people on the street running in true horror and getting crushed by giant piles of debris. This is truly an amazing epic game for the ages.

Man I remember putting so many hours into the original on the Ps1. Hard to remember but think I was pushing 200 hours when I beat the final boss. Then their were the bonus dungeons after that.

Nintendo has a great lineup for the 3DS this year. They are having a much better E3 showing than I thought they would.

Wasn't this shown at last years E3? It's been a long time in development. Still looks good though. I love these type of RPG's.
Anyone know if your characters' appearances change depending on what class you are or by what you're wearing for equipment (like in DQ9)?
No not like DQ 9 but it's totally based on what vocations you master. Each time you change vocations at Alltrades Abby , your costume will change accordingly . There will be hybrid vocations as well and ultimate vocations to take down the final bosses.

I've only ever played nine, but this looks pretty good.
Willing to try out more installments since I'm late to the franchise! First game was VIII on PS2 that I got about 2 years ago! JRPGs have been pretty good on the 3DS out of all the systems this generation! Glad Dragon Quest has maintain a level of quality and consistency within each installment unlike another long running RPG series *cough Final Fantasy
Personally this was the game of my childhood ,I think I got my hands on one of them back on the DSI or DS ,this was an amazing game ,tbh I had more fun on this game and more immersed than the console games of that time
Damn. I play to many games. I've been paying of Trails of Cold Steel II, FFXV, both Yokai Watch 2 games and this for months now, most before they had release dates, and now I'm getting 5 RPG's in one month, and all within 3 weeks of one another. This isn't going to be easy, but it'll be hella fun.
does anyone know if you have to do a lot of grinding in this game in the original?
