  • Between Kalgoorlie and Port Augusta is the 1710 km or 1063 mile Trans-Australian railway traversing the Nullarbor plain , trains using this line carry extra crews in relay cars attached to the train , some even carry extra fuel for the long journey , included is drone footage of these long trains .

Even as a child I was fascinated by Australia, the landscape, the trucks, the mentality of the people. For a long time I had nothing to do with railways, even though my father and brother are enthusiastic model railway enthusiasts. Last year, when I had to stay at home for a long time due to an accident, I happened to see the series "Railroad Australia". I have loved freight trains ever since and fell in love with the Pacific National No. Series locomotives.
I'm saving up to be able to visit your beautiful continent.
Thank you for these wonderful recordings
    greetings from Germany

In reality the transline starts at Crystal Brook and includes Port Pirie and Port Germein. The only reason they say it starts at port Augusta is because of the federation pledge funding, however the NSW line starts at Crystal Brook therefore this is where the real transline starts, taking into account the old SAR rail network that was subsequently bought out by Commonwealth railways and is now owned by ARTC

The train at about 19:20 is rumbling into West Kalgoorlie, I think. Certainly not West Perth.
