Certainly a lot of work going on in the section between Geelong and Waurn Ponds. Would be interesting to see how close it is now to being finished and will be great once it is finished and can be used. Been needed for a long time the double track

My footy ground is right near the train track and there is the level crossing right near it so when I’m playing/ training I hear vlocitys tooting so much it’s so fun to hear.
Also one of my memories from last year was when we played footy at our home ground in Warragul and the Snow Train went through and did its whistle while we were playing!
Sounds like you might get distracted and let a goal through for the other team when a train goes by. 🤣🤣 Very happy you enjoyed the ride 👍 😀
@@driver667 Yep and because I play full back so it probably would distract me if I was trying to go for a mark or something or if someone were to kick a goal and as soon as they kick the goal a train toots.

They should allow 160km speed for velocity’s on the Warrnambool line
The cost to alter the line to safely allow that speed along the line would be very high. I don't think we will see that with other projects having a higher priority. 🤔 👍😀

They are building skyrail to eliminate the crossing. 👍😀

It is being deviated to eliminate the level crossing at the surf coast highway. 👍😀
Why does the train have to wait for the gates to go down?
I'm guessing you mean on arrival at South Geelong. The train from Melbourne had just terminated there. We had to wait for it to shunt out of our way and into the siding. 👍😀
