Miniature Trains : HO Scale "Gordon" Layout

Some views of the HO scale layout "Gordon", based on the station of the same name on then Victorian Railways western line to Ballarat ( Australia ). The layout is shown at the Bendigo Model Railroaders easter exhibition. Mon 21/04/14

It's a very good layout. Last time saw it a V/Line A and S class were waiting for two V/Line G classes and a V/Line X class on a grain train to pass

Nice work! Why is the track joint/gap so wide 14:43 - 14:47 ?

These can be helpful by allowing rails to expand in warm room Temp. Without these at all tracks in hot summer can buckle and bend out of place. Real RRs have these in various places for same reason.
