booster energy is separate from the +6 from belly drum! you can get a BE boost from electric terrain after you've already belly drummed. it's separate from your stat boosts, it's just a flat +30% to your attack; it stacks with belly drum and with attack up cheers, they're three separate things that can all be boosted. so getting all three, a belly drum, electric terrain/BE, and a red cheer, that would gives you 4 * 4/3 * 4/3 = 64/9 ≈ 7x your original attack stat adding a life orb on top of that, you'd get 3/2 * 64/9 = 32 / 3 = 10 ⅔ times as powerful as your original attack stat. so if you can hold a life orb, do a belly drum, give an attack up cheer, and set electric terrain, you can get 11x the damage you would originally deal to the raid boss. using this with close combat would deal considerable damage
When i discovered heal cheer removes status effects, i was totally shocked. Yawn was a bane for runs for me solo and double setup followed by 5 slooooow turns of sleep just sucked. So now when i see yawn i setup then heal cheer after i fall asleep
Also Hex is better than Shadow Ball on Gholdengo because a lot of Ai partners can status the oppoennt, or you can replace the Steel attack with Will-o-Wisp.
I’ve been using an electric terra type iron hands and I will say, it is definitively more helpful to have a fighting terra type one. Mainly because you won’t need to switch to an electric type move such as thunder punch and risk getting knocked out.
Quark Drive and Protosynthesis don't boost the stats the same way as Nasty Plot, Belly Drum, etc. They stack with those buffs as do Cheers. Life Orb boosts the base power of attacks themselves, not Pokémon's stats. Crit Rate increase can not be cleared by the raid bosses. Focus Energy + Razor Claw/Scope Lens held item = 100% crit rate. Critical hits are 1.5x base power. Unaware ability is amazing against raid bosses like Annihilape that boost their own stats with Bulk Up.
One build I really like for support is hatterene. With life dew u can being a constant healing force. Screens for more bulk, and moonblast or psychic for some offense.
I run a hex build for Gholdengo Hex, nasty plot, metal sound, thunder wave. Can One shot solo as long it's not resistant to ghost moves. BUT it does take time to set up
Few things about the iron hands build while I see why you'd run what you do but qwark drive gives a 30% boosts to all damage and with electric terrain out your electric moves are getting stronger to on top of that I'd remove metronome for the punching glove for 20% more damage to your punches and also making them non contact this makes iron hands more specialized but it also solidifies his place as the best to handle the job outside of ghost types
I think booster energy needs a fact check for iron hands I dont think how you described it is how it works. Also shoutout to sylveon for a hybrid support/damage mon. Also shoutout to Sawsbuck for a grass physical attacker with horn leech and swords dance.
Correct. I hope he issues a correction or something. Booster Energy is more similar to Life Orb in that it gives a 1.3x or 30% boost that is different than moves that raise your stats.
Believe it or not but Flutter Mane with EV’s in HP instead of SpDef is better! It does actually survive in situations where it would have died had it not have the EV’s in HP and then you can use Draining Kiss to stay alive. This makes it a little more versatile against a physical attack too!
I think if your going to run both screens and no taunt on grimsnarl the last move should be chilling water. Personally I’d rather have taunt plus x light screen spirit break and have something like slowking be your reflect chilling water pokemon. But grinms unique in that it get both screen and both attack moves that lower attack stats
I myself have two magnezones one of them is full support build max defense and hp with bold it can learn helping hand so instead of it attacking directly it can assist this can work pretty well in a situation where you communicate with others
Not sure what I should be doing with Blissey, just keep healing teammates since the other status moves don't work after the raid pokemon cleanses/puts a shield up?
Currently my main two Raid Pokemon is my Shiny Azumarill, and a Clodsire called Dave. Dave can get hit by anything and never faint. Then all he has to do is spam Helping Hand on a teammate’s Iron Hands and we win
Ceruledge heal of the signiture bulk up/ taunt/ both screens/smog to reset stats changes. And for blissey i take secondary effect chance increase ability with the claw to increase flinch and zenheadbutt.
i thought the booster energy was an additional 1.3x to your attack. just like life orb. sometimes i go into raids with miraidon as my teammate and in those types of raids i usually one shot with a drain punch after one belly drum. how does the 1.3x from quark drive not stack?
Quark Drive is a flat increase and not +1, that's a common misconception so it works with Belly Drum. About Fluttermane. Since it's for raids only there is no need for SpDef EV since none of the bosses are EV trained. And actually some good points on other ones Pokémons though.
The problem with a lot of these (take iron moth for example) is that its just hyper unrealistic to be able to live while setting up that much. If you take 2-3 turns setting up, you're dead. Granted part of the problem is that the higher tera raids are incredibly buggy, What ive found as the only viable strat bc of this is always having a drain punch type move in your moveset. It's not uncommon in higher Tera raids for them to get 3 attacks off to your 1 attack. It's pretty broken and ridiculous. Hopefully they get fixed so a lot of these are viable. Anyways, you're gambling if you use too many turns to set up. Their stats get reset and they reset your turns way too frequently for that.
Does anyone know the number for each (protein, iron, zinc, etc.) to give them I have loads of money to buy them I just don’t know how much to give each to max out my Pokémon correctly
Can someone confirm if Booster Energy stacks with Belly Drum? The internet seems to be divided. My understanding is that Booster Energy increases your highest stat by 1.3x, therefore it WILL stack with Belly Drum. This video says otherwise.
I much rather play with taunt with umbreon because there are many pokemons that boost their stats or put field effects. I find it more useful that, considering if they gonna clear your buff and debuff you cant reduce his stats anymore and the move keep failing. I use my umbreon with: -foul play (because is the best damaging move he had for raid) -reflect (very hepful for give damage reduction to you and your allies) -taunt because is such a good move against some raid that keep boosting stats like dragonite, annilhape etc... also very good to not allow to your opponent using weather or terrain especially people that playing koraidon or miraidon. -moonlight the reason about this one is because im mainly play in random. I find iron hand a very good fighting pokemon for raids for people dont had koraidon. But if you have koraidon is better using him with choice band simple and very effective same for miraidon with choice spec because you want to clear the stage fast and simple and not depend too much of some strange gimmick or an ally that keep dying. This 2 legendary pokemon cannot be usually used online against other players. You can use mythical pokemon in tera raid but if you cannot get more than one is better using it online or in tera raids? Thats depend of you/people. Very helpful guide overall.
Hello. Other than abusing the unstoppable Perrserker against poison type 5- and 6-star raids even, is there any viable, strong Pokémon strong vs poison types?
Personally for umbreon I prefer it having it's hidden ability inner focus, because it's almost useless in tera raids anyway, whereas synchronize I think (?) will still activate. You can't flinch tera raid pokemon anyway so if you give them inner focus they have a useless ability
I have had a lot of success with support Magneton thunderbolt, light screen, metal sound/screech, flash cannon, with an eviolite and a steel or electric terra type holding eviolite. 252 spa, 54 hp, 100 def,100 spdef. With analyze. Use heal and def cheers. When needed
@@LordSteeleCastleClashPsteele68 because i dont use it for raids where im super weak too, since i have Azumarill, iron hands, slyveon, gholdengo, it fun and i still get a little bit of damage where he tanks pretty good as well
One I have a lot of success with that I never see people use is Technician Toxicitry with Taunt, and then 3 supporty moves that all work through shield nuzzle, acid spray, and snarl or charge beam. Toxicitry has a lot of resistances and two weaknesses so its easy to find a matchup that it can exploit, and its moves are great support even if it cant hit for super effective.
Ouch.. another video without a mention of Scream Tail as premier support pokemon. I have been running it in every raid that I do not have a built dps for with no issues. It is a solid upgrade over Grimmsnarl in my opinion. 1) its very fast and very bulky with very few weaknesses...with screens and leftovers this pokemon is not dying even when hit repeatedly by super effective attacks. 2) it has access to both screens + mistry terrain (if the raid uses a lot of status) 3) can support both physical and special based teams. If you have a lot of special attackers on the team then you can use fake tears to support them. If there are a lot of physical attackers then you can use howl which increases the attack of the whole team by one stage. Helping hand is also there if need be.
I think you should've mentioned Florges as well. It's absolutely amazing with Grassy Terrain, Light Screen, Wish to keep itself alive and either Moonblast to throw out and hope for spdef drop or reflect
Chi-Yu has an ability which instantly decreases SpDef of the enemy by 1, has access to nasty plot, has legendary stats, has dark pulse + overheat. Its a beast and not even mentioned. Solo 6 raids.
@@PanFro I didn't mention I don't have an online membership, but I don't need that, I usually can clear 6 star raids solo with Chi-Yu and all of the mons you showed in your vids.
@@PanFro chansey with an eviolite is way fatter than blissey could ever wish to be in this case as there won't be that stray knock off from a typical special raid mon to neuter the chansey
I really don't like the Blissey build you've suggested. I think it's a much better decision to keep her as a chansey and giving her eviolite because this makes her way bulkier on the physical end without compromising her special bulk at all. I also dislike skill swap on her. It's a very good move, almost mandatory in some raids sure, but that makes it very niche, not exactly something you want to take on a generalist support. And most of the raids that do require skill swap, like annihilape, are not something you want to bring either Blissey or Chansey to in the first place. Charm is also an iffy choice because, while it's good that you get to drop the opponent's attack, it's just useless once the raid mon brings up its terra shield. It can clear your debuffs too meaning that the stat drops will only be temporary, and Chansey/Blissey has so many better moves that don't suffer from this issue. Light Screen to boost your entire team's special defense, for example. Or Life Dew to heal the whole team without being forced to use a heal cheer, letting you save them for offensive boosts.
not having sylveon on here is actually wild. light screen, reflect, helping hand, misty terrain, draining kiss to regain health, insane spec def and spec atk... AND fake tears... literally the best support pokemon. can setup rain dance for azumarills, lower stats, buff teammates, regen health, protect teammates with lightscreen/reflect etc
So is light screen just for the user or all teammates as well? Because if 2 trainers use light screen or reflect that should drastically lower the pokemons special ATK PWR right ? Correct me if im wrong
I thought this is a good video but upon hearing him say that Booster Energy does not stack will Belly Drum, I changed my mind. LOL. Quark Drive and Protosynthesis stacks with the normal boosts like Belly Drum, Swords Dance, etc.
Finally someone who isn't simping for meta hariyama... I'm sooo tired of seeing people try to belly drum and die turn 1 because of the matchup! I built a heal pulse defensive clawitzer specifically to mitigate that stupidity.
Smart. Sometimes iron hands allies are super annoying to play with. But at least you went as far as finding a work around instead of just complaining about it. It’s annoying how most people find something to complain about and then proceed to do nothing to work towards finding a solution for that thing they choose to complain about. Not you though! I hope the Clawitzer set works as good as you say it does!

thank you for the info...been getting bored with iron hands and azu...been running support Gengar...lowered his attack all the way, made his special attack mid..i maxed def, sp Def and HP and didnt touch speed because he fast as puk boi!
Taunt
Acid Spray
Clear Smog
Shadow Ball/Psychic
Steel Type Tera
Bold Nature
i dont win all of the raids but i win about 80%
I watched a couple of your recent videos that I liked, but this one alone earned you a subscriber. Good stuff man
booster energy is separate from the +6 from belly drum! you can get a BE boost from electric terrain after you've already belly drummed. it's separate from your stat boosts, it's just a flat +30% to your attack; it stacks with belly drum and with attack up cheers, they're three separate things that can all be boosted.
so getting all three, a belly drum, electric terrain/BE, and a red cheer, that would gives you
4 * 4/3 * 4/3 = 64/9 ≈ 7x your original attack stat
adding a life orb on top of that, you'd get
3/2 * 64/9 = 32 / 3 = 10 ⅔ times as powerful as your original attack stat.
so if you can hold a life orb, do a belly drum, give an attack up cheer, and set electric terrain, you can get 11x the damage you would originally deal to the raid boss. using this with close combat would deal considerable damage
also one helping hand + life orb + belly drum + electric terrain + red cheer would give you 3/2 × 32/3 = 16x the original damage
Whoa. Such great info! Can’t believe im 300 hours in and just now coming across this. Changing up my moves and my items now. Thanks!
I use punching glove on iron hands, boost punching moves and stops abilities like static (post Tera Type shift) and flame body
Punching Glove only gives 10% boost.
@M D not getting burned off flame body is pretty nice though.
Also effect spore, gooey, curse body, rough skin, ect.
I’ve found that fighting Tera type is more useful for iron hands
As I said in the video…Both fighting and electric tera should be built if you have the resources.
It's WAY more useful
I’ve been using an electric terra type iron hands and I will say, it is definitively more helpful to have a fighting terra type one. Mainly because you won’t need to switch to an electric type move such as thunder punch and risk getting knocked out.
PS: Miraidon is pronounced Mee-Rye-Don, not Mee-Ree-A-Don like at 10:08. It's like the Rai in Raichu :)
I also recommend pokémon that can set up weather, especially Drizzle pelliper
I saw someone do this in a raid the other day. The Hatterene just wouldn’t die.
I like it as a special raid support. It gets mystical fire, light screen, life dew, and nuzzle for the para even through shield.
This makes it a little more versatile against a physical attack too!
for blissy, why charm if you want to go in vs a spA monster?
Could 4 oricirios just sweep anything pretty much like if u had a group u can just change its type depending on what your fighting and dance away
Subscribed. Definitely gonna use some of these!! GG!
Medicham skill swap passive pure power to any physical as support move helping hand not sure if raids might stop this strat ?
It works pretty well. Especially for one shots
I myself have two magnezones one of them is full support build max defense and hp with bold it can learn helping hand so instead of it attacking directly it can assist this can work pretty well in a situation where you communicate with others
Love ur videos man, keep up the good work!
Sleeping on Hariyama over Iron Hands! Hariyama has Guts so if it gets burned it doesn't care. I run flame orb on it so I can't be statused at all
Can you do a video just like this but for solo raids? Please?
We should have a video on nuke strats like the Poltegeist strat and the Iron Hands/Umbreon+2 other supports strat for Dark Type Tera Raids
Lmk if you want me to send the deets of the strat, tested it out and can confirm OHKO is possible
i thought the booster energy was an additional 1.3x to your attack. just like life orb. sometimes i go into raids with miraidon as my teammate and in those types of raids i usually one shot with a drain punch after one belly drum. how does the 1.3x from quark drive not stack?
It is a 1.3x boost unless if the booster energy gives boost to speed,
Quark Drive is a flat increase and not +1, that's a common misconception so it works with Belly Drum.
Miraidon uses charge beam to steamroll and keep powering itself up
Great video my raiding has improved tremendously after using your move recommendations!
Can someone confirm if Booster Energy stacks with Belly Drum? The internet seems to be divided.
My understanding is that Booster Energy increases your highest stat by 1.3x, therefore it WILL stack with Belly Drum.
This video says otherwise.
The booster energy gives a buff seperate from the usual stat changes so it does stack with belly drum.
this dude is wrong. Just try it in game you'll see
I much rather play with taunt with umbreon because there are many pokemons that boost their stats or put field effects. I find it more useful that, considering if they gonna clear your buff and debuff you cant reduce his stats anymore and the move keep failing.
I use my umbreon with:
-foul play (because is the best damaging move he had for raid)
-reflect (very hepful for give damage reduction to you and your allies)
-taunt because is such a good move against some raid that keep boosting stats like dragonite, annilhape etc... also very good to not allow to your opponent using weather or terrain especially people that playing koraidon or miraidon.
What’s the nature of the Umbreon and it’s Ev spread?
Curious if Cinderace makes the cut to the top mons for raids
Good stuff!💪🏽
I run a poison tera goodra with acid spray and sludge bomb. Absolute unit.
Would that Blissy be good with ransoms??
Hello. Other than abusing the unstoppable Perrserker against poison type 5- and 6-star raids even, is there any viable, strong Pokémon strong vs poison types?
Can you pls do ones for grass and bug tera raids cuz im i dont have coverage against them
I have defense and special defense with grimsnarl. Matching shield and customized attacks
Hey try Heal pulse Slowbro its overpowered when it comes to keeping your team alive!
I really, really like covert cloak to prevent many after effects from moves like Hurricane.
Great item especially for the Zard raid event, it’s really match up dependent though
Personally for umbreon I prefer it having it's hidden ability inner focus, because it's almost useless in tera raids anyway, whereas synchronize I think (?) will still activate. You can't flinch tera raid pokemon anyway so if you give them inner focus they have a useless ability
Correction: the 'Raidon signature moves increase supereffective damage by 33%. Credit: Bulbapedia.
When needed
Why not go full hp and build 2 magneton? I was considering doing this for Umbreon myself
@@LordSteeleCastleClashPsteele68 because i dont use it for raids where im super weak too, since i have Azumarill, iron hands, slyveon, gholdengo, it fun and i still get a little bit of damage where he tanks pretty good as well
i usually use goodra sometimes for dragon raids (i changed their terra type to fairy, making it a little more durable against dragon type pokemon)
I only play support in raids now I’ve noticed damn near nobody knows what they are doing
Ouch.. another video without a mention of Scream Tail as premier support pokemon.
2) it has access to both screens + mistry terrain (if the raid uses a lot of status)
3) can support both physical and special based teams. If you have a lot of special attackers on the team then you can use fake tears to support them. If there are a lot of physical attackers then you can use howl which increases the attack of the whole team by one stage. Helping hand is also there if need be.
I use both Volcarona and Iron moth but I find Volca more useful and stable going with Quiver/Fiery/Sunny day/Morning sun.
did not think about having fiery dance on my volcarona and now I want to rethink its move sets
Blissey on Sp attackers but having 1 attack is a possible bc you can get tauntlocked into using struggle. this happened to me with a mimikyu.
Surprised I did not see sylveon being that he's everywhere right now
I think you should've mentioned Florges as well. It's absolutely amazing with Grassy Terrain, Light Screen, Wish to keep itself alive and either Moonblast to throw out and hope for spdef drop or reflect
Moonblast lowers sp.atk. Psychic and shadow ball lowers sp.def. (Psychic has 10% chance, Shadow ball 20%).
Florges is a good pokemon tho still
Only question is where I’m i supposed to find parabolic charge, charge and metal sound for miraidon
He learns all those moves - use the remember move function if you don’t currently have those on Miraidon
In my opinion I would use outrage instead of drain punch for koraidon bc you get a lot of typed that fighting is weak against in the raid
If you have one water and fairy Azumaril. Why have Play Rough and Liquidation on both? You can use it as another flex spot.
And the nature for each pokemon?
Chi-Yu has an ability which instantly decreases SpDef of the enemy by 1, has access to nasty plot, has legendary stats, has dark pulse + overheat. Its a beast and not even mentioned. Solo 6 raids.
It lowers the defenses of all your teams raid mons too. It’s not good to use for online play at all
@@PanFro then it is alright if the raid pokemon is a physical attacker tho
@@PanFro I didn't mention I don't have an online membership, but I don't need that, I usually can clear 6 star raids solo with Chi-Yu and all of the mons you showed in your vids.
You better switch blissey for chansey though. With eviolite item on it.
im using a Chansey with eviolithe as special defense mon :D also pretty nice to use. not sure if Blissey is better tho.
Chansey with eviolite is better
If you want a special defense wall Blissey is better. Chansey is still a good pick with a better physical defense at the cost of an item slot
@@PanFro chansey with an eviolite is way fatter than blissey could ever wish to be in this case as there won't be that stray knock off from a typical special raid mon to neuter the chansey
Blissey with Eviolite. Big brain 😎
Miraidon learns calm mind to improve its SpA
Was told he’ll pulse heals the raid boss as well? True or false?
Try Mud as supporter, it know acid spray, HH, screech n taunt
Umbreon is a beast with support
How can I manage to have 513 of health with iron hand? i fully trained him and only have like 450
Light clay is excessive if you're wanting to kill the raid mon fast
I thought this is a good video but upon hearing him say that Booster Energy does not stack will Belly Drum, I changed my mind. LOL. Quark Drive and Protosynthesis stacks with the normal boosts like Belly Drum, Swords Dance, etc.
Oranguru and Hatterne my fav.
New sub, I like the content. Thank you for the work.
Thanks for the sub!
Getting so tired of people bringing azumarill or Hands to every raid just to be one shot after a belly drum
I've had a hard time with fairy types. An alternative to perzerker is Revaroom. Who has some really nice utility
Just go get a perzerker, it’s actually really easy
Get a gholdengo, way easier
@@jacksonmahomes119 true only thing I like perzerker for specifically over goldengo is dark and ghost types who are tera fairy.
@@xdifficultviper9916 I use nasty plot/metal sound 2x each then make it rain and it one shots 99% of fairy raids
i run steel beam and shell bell on Mandingo,
Finally someone who isn't simping for meta hariyama...
@@theyammi437 It's probably been on 30% of my raid teams so far with fantastic results (all random. I haven't tried the discord option), and only fails when something disrupts the drummers or gets +6 defense.
For those physical brutes (e.g. Avalugg) I started using max def Toxapex with chilling water and acid spray/splash (the -2 spdf one) to keep the special attackers alive and thriving.
GoldenGo runs pretty well with Recover letting you heal up in raids
Azumarill is a raid pokemon that WILL be good, not one that is now... When/if they fix the bug to Huge Power where its giving pokemon the difference in damage calculation with vs without it back in hp and undoing the one shots. Like have to admit when I'm doing the charizard raid. I see some one lock Azumarill and I'm like "Okay then, well looks like we'll be dealing with the shield this raid then." Also Misty Terrain is still good support in that it stops status conditions, cant be burnt.
