Even better, you don't need to use any sandwiches! It can be completely AFK, even now!
You can pretty much do the Ace academy tournament with all the Pokémon without issue. One thing that I think has been forgotten in all of these videos is maxing the friendship with your Pokémon. It helps prevent things that can end your afk run, with chances to live KOs, Heal status conditions, get more critical hits to hopefully one shot tough Pokémon, and avoid attacks that could hit you and end your run. I’ve been using a flutter mane with max Sp Atk and max Sp Def, holding the amulet coin. It’s been going by itself for the past 10 hours without fail.

I am using Chi-yu but the friendship thing is something I didn’t think about yet 😅😂 even though only a crit close combat hariyama can kill me. I calculated the best way to survive everything else, my split is 132 HP / 244 ATK / 132 DEF.
You can also challenge the team star leaders daily.

I actually did the picnic trick by accident the other day. I was breeding pokemon, and wondering why berries kept appearing in the basket. This explains everything.
“My Pokémon are hatching… berries?”
It "shifts through" multiple items because you have 2 star spots in your picnic radius. You dont need a sandwhich or breeding pokemon, its an intended feature. Your pokemon will pick up any glint item in the radius and you can even set them up on/near 3 at time in the desert.
Just to let everyone know; with the picnic exploit you don't need to make a sandwich. You get 10 max items in the basket so just set it up and walk away. Come back in 30 minutes and you're good
Sure, but with a level 2 sandwich it gets to 10 in 5 minutes, so it depends on how long you want to go afk
No it doesn't. Sandwich has zero effect on it.
@@tobberen This is an intended feature of the picnic mechanic. What's happening here is the pokemon in your party are going around and picking up shiny spot items and putting them in your basket. Egg effect does not speed the process up.
And you don't need to breed, it work just by waiting!
@@tobberen simply talk to ur pokemon, and you are fine. My 3 hrs experiment: waiting without doing anything gain you 2-3 items per 10min. Talking, washing, sandwich gain you 6-7 items per 10 min, not included whistle.

@@Kaptnkey it wasnt daunting as it was more tedious the anything i never bothered back then as there was no need for me. i didnt do competitive the most i did was battle forts or area whatever the game called it and that was more of coverage of moves to weaknesses then anything else. for example Gallade with psycho cut, night slash, leaf blade, drain punch i think my ability was steadfast not the best as sharpness would have been better but i digress Gyarados had earthquake, ice fang, waterfall, crunch. see the coverage i can super effect almost anything with just those two both fast usually hit first and both have high attack stats so most likely they die by by ohko.
the reason you got other items is because there were other shinies next to the shiny you were on, everything in the picnic area can be picked up, it doesnt have to be under the basket, just in the picnic range
Tried the picnic method and was very pleased that it works. I collected 51 star pieces in the desert with patience and this method. Gold sparkle spots
How long did it take you to get them?
@@hlewis5217 it takes it about 2 minutes to get a few in the box. 1.4 minutes. I had 6-10 in basket each time I checked. Just do not take the picnic down until you have farmed as many as you want from 1 star piece

You can get those by setting your game clock ahead over and over and restarting the game then checking the auction. I got over 300 of most berries from that.
U can do that while u are resting to host your own 6 star raids. 2 birds with one stone. 🙏

My favorite method thus far has been to do all the raids I possibly can 😂 I don’t catch most of the Pokémon but even the 3 star raids will usually drop a few stardust or star pieces, amongst other goodies. 5 stars will drop better stuff but will take longer and have a higher chance of being lost, but overall I’ve made lots of money that way too! Obviously not afk but simple enough for me. Definitely going to have to try some of these out now!! Thank you for sharing ☺️
The first method is the best and didn't even know that I can get items with this! I don't have to rush to the post game to do this either, def. using method #1.

The AFK-Methode with Sylvion in the Academy Ace Tournament is working perfect. I bought a Hori Turbo Controller and an OTG-Adapter for my Switch Lite and tried it out. I had to tweak the EV values for Sylvion a bit, because i hat a lot of problems with Cosima, but now its working for hours withot a fail. Thanks for this great build. 🙂👍

A modest Special Attack and HP trained Chi-Yu spamming dark pulse, sweeps with holding the amulet coin. I do it for 8+ hours when I sleep or am busy and hasn't failed once. Training in speed isn't necessary since you are level 100 and out speed everything already.

@@sligenDepends too on who you battle since you might have 2-3 shot some of the pokemon. You can get around 600k-700k an hour though.
actually, it's anywhere in the picnic location, if you can walk to the location, it will pick up the nearby items -- you don't need to be on top of it, just near it
I also didn’t have the Amulet Coin until post game but I also haven’t battled any of the trainer (just level up using candies and only battled major/required character. Hopefully there’s a lot of money to win

Just an additional tip to your picnic guide, you can put all same pokemon genders instead to easily get star piece / whatever item only without eggs showing in the basket 😉

You don't need Choice Specs on Chi-yu to run it, it sweeps everything no problem with only 2 pokemon needing 2 hits. Ran him on my game while I went to sleep and went to work a total of 19 hours. Returned home Money capped. Going into speed is also point less because it out speeds everything in the tournament at base stat, so HP and SATK with one in Defense is the way to go for him.
So place Amulet coin on him and let him clear the tournament when you sleep or while at work and you will return with alot of money.

The picnic way isn't an exploit or glitch it's an in game feature, your Pokémon will collect any items in the picnic area you don't even have to make food or have the glint item under the basket as long as it's in the picnic area.
Un it should be like any other then when you pick up an item with No picnic. If this was a feature then why can’t you just pickup an item over an over then? It’s bc it’s an “instance” being made many ppl stated. Basket is for egg with food or without not items forever spawning. You should be able to pick up 1 item (like anywhere) in the instance not 10000 as ppl stated by looking at code etc.

As a battle junkie, I think I like the Academy Ace tourney method best, but a part of me would rather mix up the rematches & the glimerring Tera Raid battles to get desirable items like Ability Capsules & Bottle Caps since I have the ICBM Azumarill build ready.

I generally collect a ton of items on the ground, it's something I'm addicted to doing, and it has older items like super potions, and poke balls, and great balls, and I sell them off for a decent chunk of change. I'm occasionally getting more coins so I can get Gholdengo. I've gotten over 100 the other day.

My thoughts:
Lv100 Smeargle with Happy Hour and Payday, holding an Amulet coin. 0 Attack IV with hindering attack nature, encounter something high level in the wild that quad resists normal moves, but isn’t much of a threat, spam tf out of payday, refreshing PP when it runs out. I guess if you wanted to keep the battle going, give Smeargle Heal Pulse to keep the wild Pokémon alive also? 😂
For the picnic thing, you don't need to be so specific as to have it exactly on the basket. If it's near where you are, they will automatically collect it. It's a feature in the game they promoted on the website. As long as your Pokemon aren't breeding, they will look for items nearby, and you don't need to have it near the cushion at all. I'm not sure why people think it needs to be so specific xD

I noticed no one talks about this but you don't need to heal you pokemon or use pp ups to restore your moves. just go into the pokemons summary hit remember moves replace the move with low pp, with any move. then just put that move you have been using back on the list and it back at 100% usage again
You can also just turn the *"Do you want to switch Pokémon?"* in options out

You don't have to have you basket top or near as long you are in the area you could walk in picnic ratio. For example if you did pick the star dust and put your picnic you be coletcting both item, but not both at same time

personally I get most of my money just from raids. it's not the most efficient method possible, but i can farm tera shards while getting a pretty substantial amount of money
Beach by lavencia can have pearl strings, there's also the forest that has balm mushrooms
Can you battle the Trainers in the field More than once? Like daily or it’s battle them once and that’s it?

Here from Charizard raid stream! I didn't have anything good enough to participate, so I didn't bother. Training up a Grimmsnarl for next time. Thinking Light Screen/Swagger/Fairy Terrain and not sure about 4th move.
Gonna Light Screen, Swagger Charizard, deploy terrain, then Swagger friendly physical attacker. Or Fake Tears the Charizard, I forget if Grimmsnarl gets that.
I just go through the closest raids I can find to farm shards, XP candy, and other items. I also get LP from defeating the raids, which I usually do in one shot with Azumarill (aside from 5*). While on my way riding to them, I pick up any items I see. Usually, the raids will be near a TM that I don't have yet too. Probably not the fastest method, but I'm finding money isn't really the biggest priority right now. I've had plenty of Pokedollars and LP to spend on what I want, and I get the XP candy and berries that I need more. I haven't even dug into my Treasures tab in my bag which has been filling up steadily since I've started the game!
If you start buying a lot of vitamins, your money supply dries up quick, trust me. Lol.

I do a lot of 5 and 6 star raids, and noticed I had more candy than I can use and sold 999 large candies for almost 750k. Other than that I just do the academy ace tournament, but that's boring compared to raiding.
Ive never had issues with amulet coin Chi-yu with max Spatk and HP IVs. Not even against the fighting teacher, just dark pulse the world

Chi-yu works with amulet coin if you give it hp instead of speed evs, you need two hits to defeat hariyama which is the only thing that defeats chi-yu strat, if hariyama crits you as chi-yu WITHOUT the hp evs, you lose, but with them, you survive
I’ve yet to lose with the chi-yu strat

I have personally used Chi Yu max EV trained on Special Attack and Speed. With Amulet Coin and had Dark Pulse and have never failed. Can sit my turbo function on my controller and leave and come back and have millions after a few hours being gone
I've had some failures with chi yu. It usually makes good money before getting what I assume is a bad roll. What nature are you using?
