Just a heads up, once you have access to Area Zero, near area 3, there is a tunnel (your rare paradox spawn tunnel, Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant). You can't eat in area zero, but you can eat, and then go into the zone, and the buff still works. In this tunnel, level 55 chansey spawn, which award more xp
I’d suggest skipping the normal encounter sandwich and just slap a lucky egg on and make an encounter fighting or dark and farm the paradox spawns in the cave almost every mon in there gives more then the chancy anyway so it’s not worth the effort lol

@@Dubs902 I did a side by side comparison with my level 92 Meowscarada. the Chansey in area zero gave 1,998 exp(Meowscarada was passive, not active) and Iron Valiant gave 1,772, so Chansey comes out on top.

Fun tip. If you're buying ten or more of an item, try pressing right instead of up nine times. You can increase the value by ten. Also works for xp candy, etc.
Larvitar to Tyranitar in 15minutes is INSANE. I remember this grind took me days in Fire Red

DAYS! I was thinking this the other day how much of a grind it was to train a gyrados, insane
After trial and error:
1. If you mess up the sandwich, you get the encounter ground type, so make sure to make it best as possible.
2. You don’t have to sneak up on them. Practice getting into the range of throwing a poke ball to trigger an encounter. Run right up to them and throw it and they can’t escape the animation. The range on the throw is pretty far, so you can even trigger the battle without startling them.
that explains A LOT. First sandwhich I've ever made and didn't realize I had to hold the button, so I only had 2 ham...and wasn't getitng as much Chansey as he is

You don't need to make it accurate to the sandwich image from my experience, just has to have all the ingredients placed without losing a single one.
I was literally just coming here to say this. If you click on a piece of ham and don’t hold the button down it will drop it and you have to have all three pieces of ham and all three pickles on the sandwich in order to make the correct sandwich to get the correct type.

After you unlock the Zero Gate area, you can find Chansey at an even higher level. Go to Research Station No. 1. Climb up the dirt hill in front of you and run to the left until you approach a reasonably sized rock, or just hug the mountain in front of you when you ascend the dirt hill. There will be a giant pit, jump into this pit and there will be Chansey that spawn at lvl 55. Use the sandwich method mentioned in this video and have fun!

In cases like this, it's much quicker to have the low level pokemon with the lucky egg in a different slot and use a higher level pokemon that can 1 hit in the lead intil the pokemon with the lucky egg is strong enough to 1 hit. In the time it takes to fight one Chansey the way in the video, you could fight 5+ this way.

But it looks like the higher level the Pokemon that is fighting, the less exp is granted upon defeating the Pokemon. Look at the difference in exp rewards from when he starts from when he finishes. It's cut in half.
The lead pokemon always gets the most xp so its honestly more beneficial to do it like this if you want the early big xp before it starts to tickle down
Once you get a few decently high level Pokémon, you can farm 5 and 6 star raids for insane xp in the form of xp candies, i did these for about an hour and afterwards i was able too get 4 of my Pokémon from mid 70s to 100
Awesome tips here. Something to help move items around, press ZL in the menu to enter item swap mode to move hold items around your party faster instead of going through menus. Not sure why this isnt in the User Interface, but there it is.

A better sandwich is the Ultra Curry and Rice Style Sandwiches. It gives Lv 2 normal encounters, lv 2 Humungo power for grass and lv 1 item drop for Fairy. You can also use your ride pokemon and just run into the chansey. It saves time. it’ll cause the ones close by to scatter and they might run away but you can see more chansey so it gives a better chance to find a shiny while you farm exp.

A very helpful thing is to catch a Zorua (thicket forest) and put it first at the party, use Taunt so now the Chansey can't spam soft boiled! And! Knock off does LOTS of damage! Thanks for the video! ❤️

You can do this in the final area in the little cave where u find the rare paradox of ur game (roaring moon or the other one) but u need encounter lvl 2 or ur spawns r too diluted.

@@anthonyroa5903 Yea im doing it rn.. Seems to work pretty well. lvl 55 chanseys. Definitely not the spawnrates of the other spot, but you can get into a battle fairly quick usually. Alot higher lvl ones tho. Idk which is better
A very small, but helpful tip is to put your fighting type move in the first slot, just to save yourself those few extra seconds of having to scroll to it.

Your a lifesaver, this guide is so helpful. It helped me evolve my level 20 Axew and my level 40 Gabite
Note: pokemon in your party get roughly half xp if they don't participate. If your trainee isn't one shotting, it's faster to just use a stronger one. Switch training takes more time than it's worth as well.
you can use the "+" button to bulk buy in shops. that way you can purchase multiple items at once.
this is a really good method for evolving pokemon for the pokedex, but i found that doing the 7 star raids is the fastest since after like 3 of them you can get a pokemon from say lvl 50 to 100 fast, and if you can cheese them solo then its only like 3 minute fights each.
plus you get alot of good items like tera shards ability patchs, star pieces and so on.

I just used this with the ice version lol (baxcalibur).
My Arctibax evolved to Baxcalibur and went from level 50 to 64 in 30 minutes. This video was suuuper helpful, especially to someone playing Pokémon for the first time and not knowing what to do.
He’s not the ice version, that’s a completely different Pokemon but I see what you’re trying to say.
also tip if you get an ever stone and keep it first form it will evo even faster then evolve it at level 98

Just a quick tip: To make sure the Chansey's or Blissey's don't run away, you can just run into them with Miriadon or Koraidon and they won't have time to react to run away.

Use chorizo and Mayo, you get the same normal buff. Also ride your mon and sprint into the chancey, you'll be quicker than them.
What is the side-by-side comparison for this method to tera raid farming? I would think tera raid farming would be faster leveling and more beneficial due to the resources you gain from raid farming that you can sell. Any input you have is greatly appreciated!
If you’re already finished the story I think tera raid is far more beneficial since you’ll be able to farm 5*+ raids which already give tons of exp and items
im p sure these are for players who haven't finished the story yet or have a strong enough pokemon to take on 5 star raids.

I've been farming chansey(s) in that area before watching this video. I'll also encountered Blissey(s) several times. I'm assuming that the ham sandwich increases the chances of them spawning. I haven't been using the picnic feature, so maybe I'll start.

Just a small fact I just found out. They won't allow you to change smolives name to small olive or anything similar to it. It actually says you can not enter that

Bro, this worked to good and I even got an outbreak for Chansey at the same time, Pokemons went from level 10 to 65.
theres an even simpler recipe for encounter normal that uses fewer ingredients. 2 (out of 3, so throw one away)chorizo and salt. you can also use the sandwhich simulator and ingreediant flavors to make a sandwhich that can give you exp type and encounter normal with different combos
It amazes me how the Chansey breed can keep appearing in all the pokemon games while all of us extinct the hell out of them out of every game! They must have the highest reproduction rate out of every species.

This doesn't work for me, chancey doesn't give much more EXP than any of the other pokemon in that area. I get about 400 exp per auto battle, or 3800 for a normal KO. Did they patch it? I'm using the ham sandwhich and lucky egg so i don't know what i'm doing wrong.
Does the number of Pokemon in your party make any difference on this since there's the exp share for all pokemon in your party?
Nice method, you can just farm tera raids and use the candies though. I find it to be more fun than killing the same monster over and over again.
How come you can catch a Pokémon and level it past the level it listens now? Used to be only for trades pokemon
