      imo azumaril and iron hand is overrated.. to use it on all raid or vs tera type is less wise. its better to have multiple perfect ivs pokemon so we can calculate the pokemon skill sets , terra type and ability and then choose the best pokemon that fit the role. but back to the point , my fav is gholdengo because of its good as gold ability , pretty tanky and massive burst damages.

    • @ser-ahi
      @ser-ahi 2 года назад +52

      That's because your allies are doing enough damage, in 5 Star raids this doesn’t work and you should do a couple bulk ups and maybe 1 or 2 screeches. This works here because he's doing no damage and his allies don’t do enough, so considering the first thing a raid boss do is to nulify their stat changes, you start with 3 bulk ups, it removes its stat changes, then you screech, your allies are doing no damage so it don't remove your stat changes or puts the shield, and that’s how you avoid getting nulified

      sandwiches would help you easily target your EVs as a whole. Chansey isn't as great as XL exp candies btw. You could use it for HP EVs and It's good before endgame but regardless that you can level to 100 off Chanseys it starts to slow down around 50 so it's honestly better grinding 6 star raids when you get them. You'll pretty much always gain a few levels when using them and you get several candies on a single 6 star raid which the raids are quick to do anyway. You might as well give up Chanseys after you got the HP EVs maxed from it.

    for anyone who is still playing the game this set is kinda of outdated. Raids apparently got massively patched with taunts and encores neither working inside raids. Use this set against ghost raids (if the pokemon doesn't match this tera) and normal-fighting originally pokemons that doesn't match their teras either. Since shields come out earlier balance between bulk ups and screechs the max you can. Once you feel like the shield is gonna come up, stop and go for the rage fist. Once your buffs are whiped just keep attacking with rage fist for the tera and sturdy as much as you can for the damage countdown until you faint. Once back, use tera ghost and rage fist and you are pretty much done. It is possible to use this set other in raids but it may take too long as you might want to get the max output for rage fist before you go for tera, just don't mind buffing if that's the case

    For Solo:
    Research what pokemon you're gonna fight against and the possible moves it can learn. (do some recon by starting the raid to see what moves it will use)
    Check these stats
    Atk
    SpAtk
    Def
    SpDef
    See which stat it favors more than the other.
    Counter their high attack/sp.attack with a high def/sp.def pokemon
    make sure that pokemon with the defensive counter is also one that has a decent amount of attack/sp.atk that can do more damage to whatever defense the bosses lack.
    For instance. Blissey has poor def. but has OP sp.def and HP(hp doesnt matter much)
    Blissey has more base sp.atk, than atk.
    So. You will want a pokemon that can counter a normal type(while avoiding the dangerous potential coverage moves it can posess against your type), has a high attack stat to demolish it's poor def stat, and tanky enough to withstand physical attacks and or sp.atks. (you can do the same den over and over if you lose. the moves dont change per attempt i believe.)
    Now you can choose from a wide array of pokemon that has those stats and a tera that can easily pop it's shield.
    Even after all of that, you still want more attack?
    This might tighten your criteria but search for a wide variety of moves that can decrease a bosses stats and or increase your pokemon's stats so you have a much easier time.
    Setting up buffs are dope, but if you're already attacking the boss, the stats will decrease as you go. Even if the boss wipes the stats, it wont be a waste of the timer setting up with absolutely 0 damage from your pokemon. (and the NPC's seldom do most of the work)
    Self healing moves like ingrain/leech seed/recovery/drain punch/draining kiss (with big root) helps a lot with survivability.
    I've personally got lucky with setting up on a raid boss before it wipes the stats due to the npc's doing too much dmg and the boss using some weird status effect on me.
    I've ran so many calm minds and bulk ups, i've honestly wasted more time setting up than just straight up attacking.
    My NPC threw Tar shot on the boss and i missed my opportunity to use Heat Crash(with Lagging Tail) to deal a shit ton of damage off rip. Got my stats wiped, and got most of my tera orb sucked off before digging into the shield b4 time ran out.

      thats what im doing , playing it solo makes me want to find a way to win instead of depend on other people. i dont really research what their moves is because i already know the basic of the pokemon and typing. i have several type of choice or same pokemon but different build so when i got normal raid but the terra pokemon is a grass type . im using anniliape with vital spirit ability to counter that spore.
      also gotta have both pokemon who specialize in sp attack and physical attack so knowing the pokemon sp def is higher than def . ill use physical attackers.

      Annihilape is acknowledged as one of the more difficult raids out there.
      Fortunately there is a pokemon you can train up that absolutely annihilates Annihilape (save for Ghost tera type Annihilapes which are immune to the key attacking move).
      Torkoal, Shell Bell, Fighting Tera Type, Shell Armor ability (hidden ability, prevents crits)
      Moves:
      * Iron Defense
      * Body Press
      * Clear Smog
      * optional (Will-O-Wisp, Lava Plume, or Inferno to burn Annihilape)
      Nature: Bold (+Def, -Atk)
      EVs: 252 HP, 252 Def, 4 Sp.Atk
      You would only use the 4th move slot to help your allies. Lava Plume (30% chance to burn) and Inferno (50% chance to burn) have the advantage of being able to burn Annihilape while the shield is up.
      Clear Smog is used if it bulks up and you want to clear its Defense buffs. Also if you've got allies and the Attack buffs hurt them too much.
      Otherwise, you literally only need to Iron Defense (your ability prevents Annihilape from critical hitting you so your massive defenses completely stonewalls Annihilape) and then Body Press (which will use your Defense stat for calculating damage instead of your Attack stat).
      Shell Bell will allow you to heal once you start attacking.
      Incredibly reliable Annihilape strategy. (Except, again, for Ghost type Annihilapes who are immune to Body Press.)

    I still managed to solo him with Annihilape, but I had to switch Screech with Taunt, and I basically had to make every turn count.

    • @JacobHayes98
      @JacobHayes98 2 года назад

      U only have to reduce iv on pokemon you use in battle. Fresh caught pokemon ivs are at 0. Each time you knockout a pokemon their respective Ev stat will be increased to your pokemon.

    • @hexen93
      @hexen93 2 года назад +1

      @@JacobHayes98 I believe we're referring to EVs here. IVs are determined when the pokemon is first spawned and can't be changed without bottle caps. EVs are the values you can either use feathers and items (protein etc) to train up.
      As for the berries comment, when you first catch the pokemon (as Jacob explained) your EVs will all be 0. It's only if you've accidentally fought with the pokemon before (regular battles, Let's Go battles don't grant EVs) then you want to clear your EVs with the berries so that you can avoid EVs in stats you don't want them in.

    • @loopseeker
      @loopseeker 2 года назад

      you can reset EV's with specific berries. if its a pokemon from your play through you likely have a lot of EV's to undo, so it would take a lot of resources to get it to where it should be, assuming IV's and nature are also not ideal. but yes you can do that with the same one from your playthrough

    • @MD-vs9ff
      @MD-vs9ff 2 года назад

      If you've used it the entire playthrough, it's probably maxed its EVs in random stats. There's no siple way to grind the EV resetting berries, so it's easier to just start fresh. That's why it's dumb that this guy put evolving Annihilape before EV training. You should do them the other way around so your EVs don't get messed up.

Get your primape to level 35 and kill Pokémon that increase attack evs. This way you can buy less attack vitamins. And you have to use the move 20 times anyway. Might as well get evs for it. You can use the raid one you got, however the tera type might let you down if you don't OHKO the raid pokemon and the shield goes up. In that case you'll want Fighting tera as a backup for increased STAB on drain punch (if your HP is looking bleak). Of course this isn't a necessity, it's just a general recommendation. If you've got one with Steel tera for instance, that might be fine anyway just due to how insane its defensive typing is!
