Master Kim was not 12 when the Japanese tried to conscript him, he was 17. As he tells Kreese, "Once Korea was under Japanese colonial rule. I was just a boy when the invaders tried to conscript me for Japanese Imperial Army". The Japanese started conscripting Korean males to the imperial army in August of 1944. The age of conscription was 17. The age of majority at the time, however, was _19_, meaning that Master Kim would have been a literal child soldier at the time. He could have been 18, but the closer he is to being a legal adult, the less of a young boy he'd be, so 17 it is. 1944 - 17 = 1927. Master Kim was hence born in 1927 In 1944, he was 17. He was 23-26 when he trained Captain Turner during the Korean War. (1950-53). In 1980 he was 53. In 2019, he is 92. I am open to discuss Master Kim and what I know about him for a future video if you ever decide to make one.
@@muhammedcamara7670 Let me guess, you read that on the Karate Kid Wiki, right? When it comes to how Kim Sung Yung is connected to Miyagi-Do, the only explanation I'd have to give would be before Miyagi left for Okinawa with Daniel (which is where KK2 took place). Chozen did mention that Sato has hate for Kim, so it's possible something happened between Sato and Kim Sung Yung before the events of even KK1. Miyagi was in America got a long time we can assume, so this would give ample time for something to develop between Sato and Kim Sung Yung. Either that, or Kim Sung Yung's philosophy made it's way outside of South Korea and into Sato's ears. At that point, Sato may not even know Kim personally, but would hate his philosophy even though Miyagi-Do also had an aggressive application. I def want to see more backstory about Miyagi being in the sekai taikai, I don't think Kim competed in it as like you mentioned, Miyagi had no reaction upon hearing that name. BUUUT, I could see a plot where Kim actually knows about Miyagi than the other way around, either by watching him compete in the sekai taikai, reading about it in the news paper along with Daniel's victory against Johnny, or Terry/Kreese somehow telling Kim about Daniel and Miyagi which would've had to happen sometime in the KK3. There's also the fact that we only know Kim's grand daughter which is Da-Eun, but we didn't get to see Da-Eun's parents (alternatively known as Yung's kids), which if the writers are gonna write that in, they need to explain how their daughter was primarily raised by her grand father.
I do have a genuine feeling that the rivalry of the Miyagi family karate and the Way of the Fist all began when the Sekai Taikai had its very first commencing tournament. Mr. Miyagi, Uncle Sato, and Master Kim are amongst the most notable participants until they meet again twenty years later with a new twist. I have a feeling that we will get to see Captain Turner in his younger years wherein this takes place just a few years immediately after the Korean War that he continued to train directly under Master Kim and this stirred up a heated rivalry with the son of the grandmaster, mirroring Miguel and Robby in the 21st century. However the son was also a victim of his father's brutality that he essentially escaped from South Korea Kim's son flew to Okinawa in hopes to find Mr. Miyagi but he trained under Sato using the aggressive side of Miyagi-Do The Sekai Taikai headband that had blood in it was the same one that Daniel found in the chest box but the blood on it was from the brutally pulverized son of Master Kim by the hands of George Turner who was ordered by Master Kim to put him "out of commission" for siding with Miyagi and Sato even though Kim abandoned him throughout his life.
Can you make a video similar to my theory? I think it would be an amazing narrative twist in Season 6 Part 3 wherein Kim Da-Eun's own father, a.k.a the son of the freaking Master Kim Sun-Yung, studied Miyagi-Do directly under Mr. Miyagi many years before the events of 1984 which mirrors how Robby became the student of Daniel because his own father, Johnny the Cobra Kai champion, has a surrogate son in his place... In which this case, the then-younger George Turner will be molded into the strong-headed army soldier that we know him in the 1960s when he passed on the lessons he learned to Kreese. It would be an compelling backstory that even Captain Turner was once an innocent boy that needed guidance until the teachings of the Way of the Fist turned him into the soldier that trained Kreese and Silver. The headband that had blood on it? That belonged to Kim Da-Eun's father, who was presumably beaten out of an inch of his life in the final match against Turner.
For the longest time, actually until the sneak peak was published, I was very sure The Big 3 wanted to end _Cobra Kai_ with the end of that dojo, means Sunyung will either die or getting killed by Chozen for example, Daeun killed Tory s mother for punish Tory and make it easiert to join Cobra Kai again, Kreese finds it out and turns his back on Cobra Kai once and for all, and basically in the end it will be something like this: - Cobra Kai is destroyed, its founder death, the dojo erased, no sensei teaches it anymore. - Miyagi-Do blossoms in the Valley, even Johnny, Kreese (should he still be alive), "Queen Cobra" Tory, Miguel, Kenny, and all the others who started at C.K. will be in Miyagi-Do, because they all realized Cobra Kai transformed them all into violent, agressive people. Basically in Season 6: There is no grey anymore like S1-5, its now black and white. Cobra Kai is evil and bad, Miyagi-Do is good and the right way/path. Thats what I thought. But now I doubt it. I think The Big 3 are interested in redeem the name Cobra Kai. And this is very difficult after all what the influence of this dojo had on people for decades, transforming nice guys (like young Silver, young Kreese, young Johnny, Miguel, Tory, Robby, Hawk, Kenny, Dutch, Bobby, Tommy, etc.) into violent bullies who beat the cr.. out of others. The only believable way to redeem that name is if someone more evil shows up. Someone who is 10 times worser as Cobra Kai, Sunyung, Silver, Kreese, etc.., someone who hits his own students in the face with full power only if they dont obey (like Wolff did with Axel), someone who doesnt teach "Strike First, Strike Hard, No Mercy", but someone who teaches something like "The First Hit Has To Kill", means any strike gets performed with the intention to kill and not to hurt. Even Kreese in the 80s didnt want Johnny and the Cobra s to actually kill Daniel. Only to beat him and humilate him. And Wolff could be a guy who instructs his students to kill, not to beat or humilate. Of course its all pure speculation. I dont know what The Big 3 are up to. But if they want to redeem the name Cobra Kai, there arent many ways to do it, and this imo would be one of these few ways: Sensei Wolff is on a mission to destroy Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai. That he is in the lineage of of Chinese master who had a strong rivalry with Miyagi and Sunyung, and Wolff is now on a mission to destroy both of of them, their senseis and students. It could also have been that Miyagi saved Sunyung s life many years ago form this evil Chinese master, that the guy had the upperhand against Sunyung, and Miyagi stepped in and saved Sunyung s life. But Miyagi and Sunyung never knew the name of the other. Its possible Miyagi indeed fought for the Iron Dragons, but he betrayed them when one of them (this Chinese master) was on his move to kill Sunyung, and MIyagi stepped in and saved Sunyung, because there was no need for the Chinese to kill him. Wolff could play a tactical chess match to hurt anyone from Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai. In Barcelona his focus is on the teenagers: - He instructs his female killer bee Zara to hurt Tory and Kreese as much as possible. He gives her the order to hurt Tory physically when they fight, and to flirt with Robby to hurt Tory mentally. And when Tory gets hurt, it will hurt Kreese too. And it weaknes Cobra Kai beacuse their female captain gets distracted. - He instructs his top fighter Axel to make moves on Sam, play the nice guy and flirt with her, or even more. Then Wolff and Axel play a game in front of Sam, they act like Wolff is a evil bada... and Axel is his poor victim, thats when Sam looked so shocked when Wolff hits Axel. But in reality its all a game. This move hurts Miguel and weakens Miyagi-Do, but it also hurts Daniel since Sam is his daughter. - Later in the individual competition in the end, he instructs Axel to go 100% against Robby, not holding back anymore and just throwing his opponents around (like he did with Kwon and Yoon), but use his punches and kicks with full power. Robby gets badly hurt there, and this will hurt Johnny since Robby is his son. Buttom line: With these moves Wolff could bring much harm towards Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai. And maybe this is his intention. And later he is determined to kill all of the senseis, Kreese, Daeun, Johnny, Daniel and Chozen, because they are all either in the linage of Miyagi or Sunyung. Lewis Tan would be the perfect guy to portray such a strong and deadly fighter. And this could create a realistic scenario why Chozen will end up with Daeun in the end and not with Kumiko. 99% of the fans are so sure Chozen and Kumiko will end up together. But mabye the biggest surprise is Chozen will end up with Daeun. Because when they find out Miyagi once saved the life of Sunyung from this evil Chinese master, I am sure they [Chozen and Daeun] would go along very well. Basically in the end Chozen saves the life of Daeun by protecting her from Wolff who is just on his move to kill her. And Chozen is the only guy who can beat Wolff in a no rule fight to the death. Even if Johnny maybe is able to outpoint Wolff in a sport tournament, in the street Wolff would beat them all, Daniel, Johnny, Daeun, Kreese, Barnes, Silver, only Chozen can beat him. And Chozen would kill Wolff with the scroll technique, so that we gonna see this technique too before the show ends. And maybe this is the reason why Chozen "lost" to Silver and didnt get his big win in a fight yet. Because they saved it for the final life-and-death-fight for the show against Wolff. All pure speculation. But I dont count out Wolff and the Iron Dragons are 10 times more evil as Sunyung, Daeun, Kreese, Silver and Cobra Kai.

Maybe the guy that myagi killed in the tournament was a sucessor to kim
2 more days!
Excited!
@@StryfetheWarrior No mercy!
I ❤ CS Lee! Vince Masuka forever!😍😍😍😍
This character is awesome!
Agreed
Ok somehow we need to reach a point at the end of the series whereby Cobra kai are no longer the bad guys and Miguel is representing them alongside Tory. This seems like the probable path and end to the series. How do we get there? Most likely Daniels Mr Miyagi search will lead to Master Kim or they could meet if there were to be a funeral for a certain character.
Anti Miyagi
I thought he would be the anti Mr Miyagi
He is.
Wow wonderboy Sensai was kim sun yung 😅😅
I wanna see Robby and Miguel lose hard, need a new karate kid as the winner. Kenny would do if they can write him a tad better.
Captain-Hatersight lol
Sum Yung Gai could take on Kim Sun-Yung
