Happy 2025! Glad I’ve finally gotten a video out on this topic since it’s one I’ve always loved. This video was voted for by supporters on Patreon! I’ve also got two other videos almost finished, so expect those soon!

Sucker Punch said that they didn't have any plans for inFAMOUS, but hopefully after Ghost of Yōtei comes out they'll be able to give InFAMOUS some love Wishful thinking anyway
Considering how woke driven these gaming companies are now an inFamous remake probably wouldn't be entertained. The love interest dies which opens you to the Women in Refrigerator trope, the best friend betrays you for powers and I'm sure would be interpreted as "fat-shaming" somehow, the one black guy "dies" and the female villain is too "sexualized". I imagine Cole and Zeke would also be considered "bad influences" since they were trouble makers.

I'd kill for Alex mercer and James Heller forced to team up to take down or team up with evil cole McGrath and evil delsin Rowe it'd be a fun as shit riot literally just do like flashpoint paradox back to the future situation with each character for whatever reason and make it like Tekken where deciding on who you pick tells their part of the story and bring good or evil paths for everyone and keep everyone gameplay similar but if too similar distinct cole and delsin/Alex and James boom you got a great making bank thanks to all infamous and prototype fans

33:55 I always saw it as Kessler knowing what Cole would do either way. If the player decides A Kessler does X and if B he does Y. He is able to know this because of spoilers.
Prototype will forever have a place in my heart. Total power fantasy, it's the kind of experience that video games were created for. I would play it all the way through, start a new game +, finish that, and start all over. Don't know how many times I did that, but I played the hell out of that game, for sure. Would love a third attempt. Having a Space Marine 2 moment for Prototype would be all I ever need.
People tend to forget that it’s actually a trio of superhero open-world games involving quarantine and karmic system, as Spider-Man: Web of Shadows had been released just half a year prior to inFamous and Prototype.
Web of Shadows is truly one of my favorite Spider-Man games if not THE favorite. The combat, the swinging, the little travel interactions like being able to casually hand on flag poles on the side of buildings, or perch on walls each having multiple animations/poses. The wall running, wall combat, web zip perfected dang near. Man I wish they could remaster it
@BonzerMrT I feel lucky for still owning a copy and that I got it relatively cheap before it became a collector's item whose price ranges in the triple digits.
That's because prototype was actually meant to be a sequel to web of shadows where you play as carnage spreading the symbiotes. hence why most of the powers seem symbiotic and why there are moves you can do from web of shadows such as body surfing.
@DinoDave150 You can also get it for free on PC as it's been delisted. Same with Ultimate Spider-Man that was on the PS2, although that's a bit buggier, whilst WoS I've only had a few crashes in over 12 hours of play.
@xxprototypexx5056 nah. It does, however, take many ideas out of The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. Also, Radical had been (pun unintended) prototyping Spider-Man 4 game that became Prototype 2 after the plans for Raimi’s film fell through.
@bloodstone1992 There are tons of PS exclusives that came to Xbox. Kingdom Hearts, Dealthloop, Metal Gear Solid, Crash Bandicoot, Final Fantasy X, Firewatch, Ghostwire Tokyo, and a lot of others.
@額頭有洞 Infamous games are well..very infamous for being still barely playable on RPCS3 as there are issues with graphical effects,crashes/stability and both games require very powerful CPU for playable framerates. Infamous games unfortunately are the least playable first party Sony exclusives on RPCS3 for some reason lol.
It's more that while your abilities are entertaining in a sandbox, the mission design is often frustrating and often feels at odds with the freedom your powers should be giving you.
@chrisossu2070 That's exactly how I feel. You have all these techniques and abilities but it doesn't feel like the game itself was properly designed around them.
One thing that I really appreciated about both these games is how they were evolutions of the games previously made by their respective developers. Infamous took all of Sly Trilogy's platforming and used it to create a massive explorable sandbox with a refined combat system while Prototype took all of Hulk Ultimate Destruction's power abilities and allowed you to go absolutely berserk with gory weapons.
Yeah, I love muscle mass for that in _addition_ to the increased melee damage it normally gives. I know it may not be as much damage as the _blade_ for example, but you're arguably more versatile with muscle mass and less likely to stop and switch powers as often.
It's weird how back when these games came out I thought they were both cool and enjoyable but nothing too special. Fast forward to today and they both feel so novel and unique.
inFamous is the protagonist is trying to stop an apocalypse, meanwhile his action will determine whether he will become the Superman or the Homelander. Prototype is the protagonist trying find out what happened to him, meanwhile trying to stop a potential world-ending pandemic that he unintentionally set off, at the same time finding himself tangle in a military conspiracy involving an eldritch Lovecraftian virus
I remember seeing a video from E3 before Prototype came out with one of the developers talking up the game. I remember he mentioned something about co-op that inevitably got cut. He was talking up how one player can fly a helicopter while the other would hang out on the wing pulling missiles off and chucking then at enemies and I've wanted this in a game ever since.
Regardless of which you prefer (I'm a much bigger inFAMOUS fan), a few things can be agreed on: 1. Both game series' are awesome and deserve more sequels. 2. Neither game series' are perfect but do different things better than the other.
Pro: Cole is a guest character in street fighter x tekken. Con: Cole is a guest character in sfxt, and was only in the Playstation version of the game to boot.
40:08 about that. both infamous and prototype actually have comics that takes place after their first games and before their second. i won't spoil anything as i do implore you to read it yourself before your second part of the video
It’s unbelievable being reminded that they made a big budget “AAA” game that unabashedly nasty and not in a optional sandbox fun kinda way, it makes evil options in other games look like a joke and it’s not hiding behind satire like other option world world games do either
Gameplay-wise both are power fantasy fulfillment, one as a wizard, another as a brawler. I think the brawler moveset in Prototype is far more complete and satisfying than what inFamous offers for its electrical zapping. Which in turn gets divided in two by one of those classic Fable-like binary morality systems. Mobility is a major positive for both games, but Prototype presenting a bigger, sprawling, taller playground takes rampaging and traversing through it an order of magnitude higher in terms of grandiosity. This is all of course a fair and balanced love letter to Prototype from someone who hasn't even played inFamous.
Don't care about Activision's opinion. Neither comics, nor second game happened. Dana is in induced coma, Ragland and Karen are alive and trying to monitor her, Alex is searching for Pariah and Heller with his family left US:P
Sorry to tell ya but there's a secret mission and cut-scene where Mercer disguises himself as a blackwatch soldier and finds karen, takes her into an elevator and consumes her. That's canon btw so it's just Ragland trying to monitor Dana.
@jacobstanley3385 it's not secret, it's cutscene for completion of Web of Intrigue. It gives you no memories(so no consumption) and no evolution points(so no kill). It was left ambiguous by devs on purpose. Only during release of P2 they revelead on a social media a poster that claimed that Alex killed her. And as I already disregard P2 and comics anyway... Please read people's comments IN FULL first before believing that you have found some secret, lol 🤣
@TheArklyte no need to be so toxic. I've seen a lot of people play prototype and they've never done that mission. Plus an interesting theory I've heard about why Alex doesn't gain any memories from consuming Karen is because he just wanted to forget about her.
Infamous is a great series but personally I like the grotesque body horror of Prototype more. Alex's powers being rooted closer in real world bioengineering adds to the feeling of being this unholy freak of nature compared to Cole's electricity powers and his more "superhero origin story" type of feel for his games.
Looking at both games side-by-side really reminds me of Spiderman: Web of Shadows where it's almost a perfect combination of both. You have your characters and morality choices with a good or bad ending in a ravagely infected New York. Any game where you can just run and fly in the air all over New York was awesome, god, I would kill for a 3rd Hulk game.
4:22 if you think about it. The Prototype 1 map is a good timestamp of what New York looked like at the time. Year 2006, I don't think there is any other video game with a New York of that time period. Maybe GTA 4 can rival it for atmosphere of a even more realistic/satire form of New York. I'm Rambling
I love this video. Prototype is a very sandbox heavy game, while Infamous is a great action adventure game. They have their different strengths. So it really did all come down to who had the better Saber cosplay! Love me some Fate stay/night!
On the topic of Mercer's change of character, they pulled the same thing as Infamous in that there was a DC comic tie-in that is basically summed up as The Blacklight Virus/Alex went around the world basically soul searching, but eventually grew to develop a God Complex a la Vergil from the DMC reboot and decided humanity needed saving from itself hence his sudden turn to villainry.
@chrisossu2070 Not exactly. He was betrayed yes, but mainly by two individuals in different ways. A Mill Owner who was previously a mob enforcer (which Mercer only got angry at after killing the mob boss & read his memories, to find that the man had brutally killed people) and his daughter (who did directly betray "Jack" by shooting him & stealing money that he brought with him) who wanted to follow in her father's criminal footsteps before a rageful Mercer killed her. They never even knew who or what he really was right before he killed them.
@TheArklyte why???? the tie in comics were perfectly fine, it gave the fanbase an answer to why mercer became evil, does it entirely make sense.......no. but nor does the guy who says hes confused and acting timid saying "SHE'LL BE THE MOTHER OF THE NEW WORLD!"
@dr.levionce The second game was a total wash. The first game has way more attention to detail and as a concept is far cooler. The uniforms of enemies, their gear, etc, all of it ties in far better. The second one was just lame.
I personally preferred Prototype because when these games came out I was doing parkour in real life and it just felt so much clunkier than real life in Infamous. The movement being so much more satisfying as a person who was living and breathing movement in real life was THE deciding factor. This honestly led me to be Prototype 2's only hype man. I was super pissed at what they did to Alex, but I could not deny how much fun the game was to play.
Holy, new HBH video on January 1st? We ball? Edit: it’s a serious shame that none of the Infamous games have ever been ported to PC or even modern consoles. It’s the only series I have ever fully platinumed. Not even DMC but that’s more because I suck ass at them. I’d kill for a remaster of the series though, or even basic ass ports to PC.
Its things like this that makes me question how costly such thing is to not try to make it properly work on modder hardwere to port it in. Cuz thats the whole explenation as to why one of their most beloved games isnt re-released.
@naolidecomisso4108 PS3 infrastructure sucks and dick and balls and was notoriously bad to work with. Still doesn’t make sense to me that they haven’t ported these games. Of all the games I’ve ever wanted remastered or ported, it’s the Infamous series.
9:40 Third person shooter implied, at the time, that it was a cover shooter. InFamous’ emphasis on verticality, freedom of movement, and melee capabilities makes it stand apart.
@xxprototypexx5056 I'm not saying Alex would win. But giving Cole the speed advantage because he can go into an electrical grid and go near the speed of light like that is... Well it isn't good scaling. And one of the weirder things about the fight was that Alex didn't get to use his creatures. You know. The Goliaths, the brawlers or hydras. Hydras are immune to electricity, so they would've been real useful. :/
@ReardensmolhauzLLargo Alex should have won though, I'm not even talking about their logical errors. The writer for prototype 2 himself "Dan Jolley" confirmed 3 to 4 months ago that Alex is beyond planetary as the diagrams for the game(Including the one where heller splits the moon). Are literal and therefore Canon.
the worst morality choice in inFamous is in 2 where you have to choose either Kuo or Nix's powers, if you wanted Nix's powers as a good guy then the game decides you're suddenly hitler and reverses your karma.
As much as I respect Infamous' better city and characters---I knew about Prototype first. It's also more exhilarating _and_ appeals to me more as a concept. Also, _you can still play Prototype._
Both of these games are so good I still don’t know which one I like more. I love comics so I got super attached to Infamous but I also love anything featuring edgy bio punk and Prototype had that in the bag. Both are just so good and gives their core audience exactly what they want.
I like both games, but I felt infamous had a better campaign but prototype had a better sandbox. I used to Rp as a soldier and do my best to fight the zombie horde with the soldiers. My favourite thing about prototype though was a fight I had on the side of a building against 3 hunters. Killed all 3 without touching the ground, real superhero type shit
With Radical being canned by Activision and most of the fans for Prototype never truly feeling this game has hit it's heights, there's more fan content for a hypothetical Prototype 3 than for an InFamous 3, at least that I've seen. I can recommend Purposeless Rabbitholes video on the subject or Whitelight's if you really wanted a sketch on what a finale to the series could look like. If any commenters can point me towards a good InFamous 3 concept, please do!
Despite the title being "vs" you did a great job selling me on both games and appreciating the differences between both. Also you might have created the best ending for any of your videos right here
I chose to save Trish in my good playthrough instead of tge doctors - and that stung WAY more when she is fatally wounded and praises you for your heroism and you know you just didn't live up to that It reaffirms the decision to become more heroic - to truly live up to this version of yourself that in the end Trish saw you as Loved that first game so much (great vid btw)
Great timing on this one. I played and finished inFAMOUS for the first time this-- er, _last_ year (Happy New Year's, everyone), as part of my endeavour to play games I have absolutely zero interest in whatsoever in order to broaden my horizons. It was a slog at first, and I had to force myself to get through a lot of it, but by the end I appreciated the game much more and am even considering playing the sequel eventually. And yes, I did watch your Kessler video immediately after the credits rolled, just to scrape as much content out of this channel as possible (as long as it doesn't involve me having to watch the Saw films).
'You just buy powers from a menu', that goes for both games. Prototype, you get claws as a story progression, same with the blade, armor and infected vision. Shame this is biased cause the video started strong.
What is cool about infamous morality system is in the sequal ya can choose which playthrough ya had from the first game and some side quest will have different outcomes, one side quest on evil mentions that you killed someone from the first game and get ambushed, but same side quest from good playthrough she thanks you for saving that character and gives a kiss on the cheek
The choice about the doctors or the girlfriend being rigged was BS, but I imagine plenty of folks have argued that Kessler would always know the outcome because of what he would do. I can see both sides of the argument.
Prototype is what gaming is about…fun! I could just run around for hours causing chaos. Also the violence was a highlight, only God of war 3 comes close to scratching that itch i have when it comes to brutality in games.
On the last seconds of the video I remembered how great infamous soundtrack was. And that video where devs were slamming on the garbage cans to get "unique city sound" or something like that lol
I actually kind of like the odd animations in Infamous, there's something charming about "realistic" looking character models move like they're in Sly Cooper
brother COOKED, 15 YEARS in the making, instant sub HAPPY NEW YEAR. Please INCLUDE the infamous vs prototype fan art if you ever make an Alex vs Cole video, PEOPLE LOVE to draw them💖💖
I like the way how Cole is codenamed as "Demon" while having electrical powers like Zeus. And Alex is called "Zeus" while having demonic/bloody powers.
When it comes to your thoughts on Elizabeth Greene, she doesn't have any presence in the game because she's not meant to be a character, she's clearly written to be a force of nature, an agent of choas, an avatar for the virus; she refers to herself as Alex's "mother" in the sense that her virus begat his virus. Whoever the true Elizabeth was, she died along with everyone else at Hope, Idaho.
Alien mindset characters can still be characters and interesting. The fact she's clearly capable of thought and decision making and can communicate like that automatically means they could have made her more engaging as a villain. What she is is not an excuse for her being such a boring villain that has literally nothing to her. Hell, the protagonist is literally the same thing she is, as is the hunter that straight up manipulates "Alex" and clearly has defined regular ass motivations and makes choices. She is a character, she's just a boring nothing one. Her just doing shit for no reason except to be generic antagonist lady is just because they couldn't come up with anything, not due to her being an 'agent of chaos' being itself interesting in any way. She's just a badly written character and villain, like basically everyone else in the game.
@Amodelsino Greene doesn't have a character. A character has to have their own personality and goals; she--or rather, IT--is an avatar of the redlight virus. Alex is different; the blacklight virus merged with with Alex, it BECAME him.
@SuperboyLilly In Alex's, or rather Blacklight's case, the difference between it and Elizabeth Greene was that the virus assimilated the dying Alex Mercer's brain, and then, because of this act, it obtained a conscience and sapience, in a way, the Blacklight that we accompany throught the whole game is more like a child being suddenly born and thrusted into the mess that the original Alex made.
@SuperboyLilly she isn't an avatar for the red light virus, she was the red light virus itself. The prima guide confirmed that red light was responsible for the creation of all life in the prototype series. Which makes her statement to Alex in their second meet make much more sense. When she said she was the reason for everything, she literally meant EVERYTHING.
@xxprototypexx5056 The redlight virus starting life on earth can be taken with a grain of salt; I found a copy of the prima, and there are several inconsistencies. Are you sure this isn't just some concept book to explain the developers' thought process? Because there were concept designs for characters that were scrapped.
Been subscribed to your channel for about 12 years since the DmC video and you got me into Yakuza before it was cool. Glad you are making videos a bit more often again.
I'm six minutes into the video and I predict what I feel right now correlates with a lot of people here. These types of games is something we lost in follow up console generations. It's a sweet spot between the gameplay-driven PS1 & PS2 era and the very story-driven, high production value games we have now. Watching that, I kind of missed that time and vibe. We're all nostalgic right now when it comes to games and movies and this shows why.
This is such a blast from the past. I remember finding your channel through your original review of Infamous you submitted to the SWAGshow. Its nice to see you revisiting your roots.
My main experience with the inFamous series is playing a bunch of Second Son (and watching some playthroughs of 1 & 2), and I would buy a new entry in the series in a heartbeat.
The fact that Sony has done nothing with the Infamous Ip in 10 years is a genuine crime. Second son was one of the most popular launch titles for PS4 and the game Still holds up to this day, even graphically!
For prototype I had always wished that taking out bases or hives would have a greater impact on something. Like a "morality" bar that represents whether you've sided more with the infection or the military.
Determine which is better as usual comes down to what you’re looking for in the game. Prototype makes you feel more powerful than in infamous, in Infamous you are a walking force of nature you can strike enemies with multiple forms of lightning bolts and even call down a quick but devastating thunderstorm sure BUT you need to constantly recharge to fight and still are damaged by guns and can quickly be killed by them and you even need to take cover to avoid taking too much damage, in infamous all it takes is about 8 shots to put your hp in critical condition and normal human enemies can pistol whip you even. Meanwhile in Prototype you are a walking biohazard, a living pandemic and the ultimate killing machine, while infamous has a better story prototype excels in making you feel unbeatable and gives you a much wider variety of weapons to unleash on your enemies at first you’re a damage sponge but you still can die to gunfire if you’re too reckless but at about a quarter or half way through the game you’re a ale to become completely bulletproof making fights with foot soldiers absolutely effortless for you, take cover? That doesn’t exist in prototype, just throw a car at your enemies, throw them across the city block with your bare hands and brute strength, you can drop lick them through a truck if you feel like or if you wanna get creative use your claws, blade, hammer fist, tendril attacks or whip fist, summon a pack of monsters to do your dirty work for you if you’re feeling lazy, or if you wanna cause chaos among your enemies, consume one of their leaders and call in a air strike or if you have a grudge on a soldier you can accuse him of being infected and have his comrades shoot him on your command.
Happy 2025! Glad I’ve finally gotten a video out on this topic since it’s one I’ve always loved. This video was voted for by supporters on Patreon! I’ve also got two other videos almost finished, so expect those soon!
Unrelated to the video, but I've been wondering, why is your profile picture of the poster for 2013's Oldboy? What drew you to use that image specifically?
Awesome, man. Keep up!
I started using it ironically during my time as an American living in South Korea for a few years because it's funny.
@HyperBitHero OldAmericanBoy - The Animation 💀
inFAMOUS not being so much as remastered is genuinely a crime.
Especially when fucking Last of Us and Horizon are getting Remastered to death
Sucker Punch said that they didn't have any plans for inFAMOUS, but hopefully after Ghost of Yōtei comes out they'll be able to give InFAMOUS some love
Wishful thinking anyway
There is no need for a remaster. SONY should make an official emulator for consoles and PC.
I imagine Cole and Zeke would also be considered "bad influences" since they were trouble makers.
fr. At least drop a 60fps version for PS5.
It’s so weird that neither series are around anymore when I swear everyone I knew played both and loved them.
I Lowkey blame Fortnite somehow 😂
@BonzerMrTnah blame Activision and Sony for doing nothing with them and sitting on their IPs for years.
Yeah, same. They're both really good, and really fun.
People are re discovering InFamous and Second Son is getting a huge resurgence with PS5 players admiring and enjoying Delsin Rowe, and then going back to 1 and 2. When people don't have someone telling them a game sucks because it's not as deep as a previous game, People enjoy it.

i still play prototype 2. it is always there on quick resume 🙂
inFamous is the perfect Static Shock game. Prototype is the perfect Venom game. All in one package! ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Allllmost perfect. Just missing the Static Cling and flying on a trash can lid
The Perfect Venom game, made by the creators of the perfect Hulk game!
Yeah but neither were designed to be Static or Venom. InFamous and PT are their own world and story, so bad comparison...
Like I get it, but mmmm...let's keep em their own things.
@squallthegriever Nothing is really new, everything is a copy of something that came before, man. Relax.
Prototype 1 carnage Prototype 2 Venom
Cole: “They call me a terrorist. They don’t even know me!”
Alex: “They call me a terrorist. They’re right 😎”
Perfect encapsulation of each game’s approach. 😂
Alex wanted to do what was best for humanity but humanity betray him
If you wanna be technical about it, Cole was a terrorist, since his future self is what caused the blast to begin with.
@jojowoolin_21 literally infamous 2’s direction
@jojowoolin_21in the first game, alex just wanted to make sure he and his sister made it out. halfway through the game he was tired of blackwatch ruining everything they touched.

BOTH GAMES ARE INCREDIBLE AND BOTH DESERVE A NEW ENTRY
I'd kill for Alex mercer and James Heller forced to team up to take down or team up with evil cole McGrath and evil delsin Rowe it'd be a fun as shit riot literally just do like flashpoint paradox back to the future situation with each character for whatever reason and make it like Tekken where deciding on who you pick tells their part of the story and bring good or evil paths for everyone and keep everyone gameplay similar but if too similar distinct cole and delsin/Alex and James boom you got a great making bank thanks to all infamous and prototype fans

An inFamous 1 remake or a prequel following Kesslers' timeline would complete me.
33:55 I always saw it as Kessler knowing what Cole would do either way. If the player decides A Kessler does X and if B he does Y. He is able to know this because of spoilers.
Spoiler alert on a 17 year old game lol

Its like if someone fused Shadow the Hedgehog, Accelerator, and Venom.
@JJAB91whatever
You mean Saya
@disins5521 Who?
The campy edge 😩
I want infamous on steam that game legit was so good
And Xbox;
@haterodiadordeplantao.680 it will never come to xbox, PC maybe, but never Xbox... as Sony doesnt like to share
@bloodstone1992 There are tons of PS exclusives that came to Xbox. Kingdom Hearts, Dealthloop, Metal Gear Solid, Crash Bandicoot, Final Fantasy X, Firewatch, Ghostwire Tokyo, and a lot of others.
u could alwasy emu. But of course. It`s entirely different than having official support. or the benefit of mordern hardware.
The speed and the amount of havoc you could wreck in Prototype is still something I remember fondly. Still don't know why it was received so poorly
It's more that while your abilities are entertaining in a sandbox, the mission design is often frustrating and often feels at odds with the freedom your powers should be giving you.
Adding onto the above, both Prototype games are also a technical catastrophe on some PC hardware.
@Pan_Z that was a problem with 90% of PC ports back then
@chrisossu2070 That's exactly how I feel. You have all these techniques and abilities but it doesn't feel like the game itself was properly designed around them.
because that was the only thing you could do after all
One thing that I really appreciated about both these games is how they were evolutions of the games previously made by their respective developers.
Infamous took all of Sly Trilogy's platforming and used it to create a massive explorable sandbox with a refined combat system while Prototype took all of Hulk Ultimate Destruction's power abilities and allowed you to go absolutely berserk with gory weapons.
7:49 ironically Muscle mass is one of the best powers to use because it turns cars into missiles. It does so much damage.
Regardless of which you prefer (I'm a much bigger inFAMOUS fan), a few things can be agreed on:
1. Both game series' are awesome and deserve more sequels.
2. Neither game series' are perfect but do different things better than the other.
Pro: Cole is a guest character in street fighter x tekken.
Con: Cole is a guest character in sfxt, and was only in the Playstation version of the game to boot.
Stan Lee’s approval of Cole McGrath may have pushed me in the direction of Infamous. But I definitely never hated Prototype. Both games are great.
40:08 about that. both infamous and prototype actually have comics that takes place after their first games and before their second. i won't spoil anything as i do implore you to read it yourself before your second part of the video
At the end of the day both games are really fun and are worth checking out.
It’s unbelievable being reminded that they made a big budget “AAA” game that unabashedly nasty and not in a optional sandbox fun kinda way, it makes evil options in other games look like a joke and it’s not hiding behind satire like other option world world games do either
this is gaming ball knowledge
It shows
as someone who both played all Prototype and Infamous games I can agree with this
I never played Prototype, it seems awesome
Love the video, now I'll wait for Infamous 2 vs Prototype 2.
Don't care about Activision's opinion. Neither comics, nor second game happened.
Dana is in induced coma, Ragland and Karen are alive and trying to monitor her, Alex is searching for Pariah and Heller with his family left US:P
Heller deserved better
@gl4dius4pple75 Facts
I love Prototype because it just feels like someone wanted to make a mass combat sandbox game where they could make and do whatever they wanted 😂
20:04 mgs 4 mentioned 🤩🤩
14:55 prototype does use a system like that you can’t unlock new weapons until you beat certain story, mission, bosses, or enemies and absorb them
4:22 if you think about it. The Prototype 1 map is a good timestamp of what New York looked like at the time. Year 2006, I don't think there is any other video game with a New York of that time period. Maybe GTA 4 can rival it for atmosphere of a even more realistic/satire form of New York. I'm Rambling
No the supreme hunter twist at the end of the game was sooo fucking good. Like cross' personality was made out of cardboard🤣nothing really was lost
You're alive! Can't believe Infamous didn't get a remaster for how popular it was.
Actually there is one. The biohazard bundle kinda is a remaster.
@naolidecomisso4108 bruh thats not infamous
@IfThese3sShouldWalk oh shit yeah youre right. I messed up a little
Infamous X Prototype was actually planned but scrapped
I heard rumors that there was a prototype/infamous crossover planned at some point, but it was cancelled, before anything was actually made.
Same 😭It would've been so gas but it got canceled for a flop game
that was never a thing, it was a lie
@operationsquirtle good to know
My favourite channel back with another episode. Good start of a New Year. Have a happy and healthy one Hero!
Muscle mass was great because it buffed the damage of throwing to a ridiculous degree, meaning even thrown people could obliterate tanks or hunter
Also because, while trying to live a civilian life, he was betrayed by several people he trusted after they discovered who he was.
And this is why tie in comics and novels are cancer on the industry that needs to be burned out.
@TheArklyte why????
the tie in comics were perfectly fine, it gave the fanbase an answer to why mercer became evil, does it entirely make sense.......no.
but nor does the guy who says hes confused and acting timid saying "SHE'LL BE THE MOTHER OF THE NEW WORLD!"
2 games that need to be brought back
Holy, new HBH video on January 1st?
Are there plans to compare Infamous 2 and Prototype 2?
Shoutout DEATH BATTLE for giving these two franchises more attention than their own companies did in years
@nathaniellee5277 even if they were flatout wrong.
@xxprototypexx5056
I'm not saying Alex would win.
@xxprototypexx5056 wait where was that confirmed? Did they do an interview for the game or smt?
@ Budget probably
I loved both. And remember Prototype was originally Spider-Man 4.
the worst morality choice in inFamous is in 2 where you have to choose either Kuo or Nix's powers, if you wanted Nix's powers as a good guy then the game decides you're suddenly hitler and reverses your karma.
SONY GIVE ME AN INFAMOUS TRILOGY REMASTER AND MY LIFE IS YOURS
The only thing prototype lacks is a great side character. Zeke in infamous is so funny
Infamous 1 & 2 are two of my favorite games of all time
Reminder that we almost had a crossover made for these two until Sony canned it in favour of some online shooter
Fr??? Fuck off sony smh
I honestly like both games. While Prototype's gameplay is more fun, I do prefer the over all story and the choice mechanics of InFamous.
Prototype? You mean hulk ultimate destruction 2, right????
Magic City Man
Prototype was ahead of its time by not having a morality meter.
Despite the title being "vs" you did a great job selling me on both games and appreciating the differences between both. Also you might have created the best ending for any of your videos right here
I chose to save Trish in my good playthrough instead of tge doctors - and that stung WAY more when she is fatally wounded and praises you for your heroism and you know you just didn't live up to that
It reaffirms the decision to become more heroic - to truly live up to this version of yourself that in the end Trish saw you as
Loved that first game so much (great vid btw)
The sequels are much better, definitely keep going
'You just buy powers from a menu', that goes for both games. Prototype, you get claws as a story progression, same with the blade, armor and infected vision. Shame this is biased cause the video started strong.
What is cool about infamous morality system is in the sequal ya can choose which playthrough ya had from the first game and some side quest will have different outcomes, one side quest on evil mentions that you killed someone from the first game and get ambushed, but same side quest from good playthrough she thanks you for saving that character and gives a kiss on the cheek
InFAMOUS is just crazy to see it being one of the runner ups for the PS3 as a launch title
The choice about the doctors or the girlfriend being rigged was BS, but I imagine plenty of folks have argued that Kessler would always know the outcome because of what he would do. I can see both sides of the argument.
Absolutely unhinged RUclips Avatar
We need a remake both of this games
Prototype is what gaming is about…fun! I could just run around for hours causing chaos. Also the violence was a highlight, only God of war 3 comes close to scratching that itch i have when it comes to brutality in games.
Welcome back bit!
I love just moving around in infamous, but there's little that gives me more joy than elbow dropping a tank with the hammer fist in prototype
Ironic that if this had taken three months longer, you'd have been able to comment on the Prototype 3 leak.
ah back when video games
I miss these two gems.
I actually really liked prototype 2 and didn't know until recently that most people don't seem to like it. Weird how that works.
This is such a blast from the past. I remember finding your channel through your original review of Infamous you submitted to the SWAGshow.
Its nice to see you revisiting your roots.
Would love to see another video comparing infamous 2 and prototype 2!!
It's like that cake meme.
Radical Entertainment : Man Sucker Punch's cake is waaaay better than mine.
Gamers : Holy shit two cakes!
27:15 DC Swampthing “The Anatomy Lesson”
never played the game, nor prototype, but they both interested me when I used to have my ps3 and before I knew anything about homebrew
“ They call me a killer, a monster, a terrorist…. Im all of these things” -Alex Mercer
My main experience with the inFamous series is playing a bunch of Second Son (and watching some playthroughs of 1 & 2), and I would buy a new entry in the series in a heartbeat.
The fact that Sony has done nothing with the Infamous Ip in 10 years is a genuine crime. Second son was one of the most popular launch titles for PS4 and the game Still holds up to this day, even graphically!
that ending just makes me want to see an FS/N video from Hero
When you think about it, Alex Mercer could easily be a conduit in infamous. His deal being a biomass-absorbing plague spreader.
10/10 video. Not because of the review/comparison, because of the Fate/Stay Night reference.
The review was cool too though.
