Well said. Most actors with money these days are mired in controversy. From hanging with Diddy to Getting ordinary folk to fork out money for their own benefit. All those morals portrayed by them in their movies are never expressed in their lives. So for Tony Jaa. Its all a win.

Im now 39 and have been training ever since consistently between muay thai/kickboxing and boxing and bjj. Tony was one of the best of the best in martial arts movies and stunts and only had a fraction of the movies the the other greats like jackie chan, jet li, sammo hung, etc. Thats how you know how skilled he was.

Wrong Bruce Lee was a Thug, a Hood, a bully or whatever you want to call it.
He wasn't known for winning street fights, he was known for getting into them and participating in street fights.
It's also fact that the only reason Bruce Lee learnt martial arts in the first place is, because he wanted to beat up other people.
Hence why he went to Ip Man to learn martial arts in the first place.

Like it’s an old building with peeling paint, no one would have guessed it’s his house. He got rid of the walls and made it a gym/living space/shrines and whatnot. He collects all the stuff he got from filming abroad. Bro is living his best life. He does backflips and moonwalks in his house. He is actually a pretty silly guy. He said the reason he bought that old apartment building was because it’s by the lake and he loves the view.

Hard working, show to the world what and who you are, then pull back and live life in peace. I say...a very smart man who knows when to hold and when to fold. People've got to realize that every journey has its ending. Humble people always have spiritual side that no one comprehend but always draw conclusion when the story is not what they expected to be. Be content for what's in front of you and live life to the fullest and at the end, faith, hope, and love. Love is the most important thing in life.

Bruce Lee is not just a movie star as you say. You don’t even notice what’s real talent. There’s a reason why Tony and many idolize Bruce Lee. I’ll just leave to that

Grew up watching ong bak.. it was just something new and different from the usual kung fu martial arts movies. That knee and elbow to the head was always dope. I remember seeing that scene where he kicked that street light 😮 😳🤯

What would be heartbreaking is if he lost himself in the mess of fame and Hollywood. All I see here is a success story of a man who kept his head and held onto his roots through the trials and tribulations of stardom. If he chose to step away from that at any point it wouldn't be sad. It would be a life choice that I'd have to respect whether I want to see him on the screen again or not.

I will watch any movie Tony makes even, if it is all subtitles. Tony's moves are that good. I don't blame him for the bad scripts in movies he has been in. All the men in Thailand seem to spend some time in the temple learning to be a monk so don't hold that against him. I lived in Bangkok in 1986 & 87 working for Seagate. Thai people are very nice and helpful to foreigners . I will go visit again once we retire.

One thing I will say is ong bak 2 and 3 were sadly not up to par compared to the first but they were still worth watching and his skills were still top notch. Ong Bak was a very hard movie to top but the protector was very good. That one had the same feel as Ong Bak. Absolutely savage.
The few later movies he did like monster hunter I believe it was called, was not great but it also wasn't his movie to star in.
Even with his relatively small body of work, he still gets praised as one of the best martial arts actors ever.

He became victim of his own talent.
Tom Yoom Goong was the pinnacle of the hardcore fighting stunts, whoever watched it couldn't satisfy with anything else.
Tony or anyone couldn't surpass the bar set by Tom Yoong Goong.

I only liked one of his movies. He has enormous talent. It's a shame that martial arts movies aren't that big in America (main strean). idk why, but superhero movies are still in. I can't wait for that to phase out.

I’m delighted to hear a defense of a GOAT Muy Thai stunt man/athlete. It’s too easy for bystanders to make a “Rise and Fall of …” video.
One thing about him isn’t clear to me: Is he alive? At one point, I heard the narrator say, “Had he lived…”.

I think the idea of letting him speak while in character is huge. Honestly that is how the fans will read into that actors character most the time. I mean we have "where is my elephant" versus a long dialog Bruce Lee gave to a student about the emotional context of Kung Fu. "The don't think feel" speech. When you look at it that way Jaa was robbed from allowing him to be anything other than cool moves.
