How anyone could give this young lady a thumbs down amazes me!! I imagine they are very jealous of her talent or simply just assholes with nothing better to do than try and hurt someone else!?
Gene Leforge Believe it or not, there have been many people with terrific musical talents. If you actually check the jazz scene for instance, god knows how many geniuses and innovators there have been in the 20th Century. And that's only in jazz. But mostly the people who dislike this girl do it out o stupidity. There is nothing really to dislike here. But nothing to really like as well. World is far more vast than the TV or the Internet can offer.
just jealous guys because i am watching this girl since she was in Ellen show when she was with half tongue and wrote a piece of music in 10 m and it was so tender piece full of love that she wrote it for Ellen with love
I love her works - brilliant. She inspires old dudes like me (late 70's) too! That's why I keep playing/practicing/composing every day. Thanks Emily, Alma, Amira, Joey, Angelina.
Emily is an absolute gift to humanity and as for the people who voted to dislike this, all I can ask is where is your humanity, you poor stunted beings, shame on you.
In your absolutely appropriate amazement by and praise for Miss Emily Bear, don't fail to really take Seth's words to heart, and do whatever you can to fight to protect the NEA and arts education and availability in general.
Well, I needed some time ... to understand 😉 she´s playing a piano medley ! ... once in a lullaby and bumble bee was amazing ... but Emily Bear playing "Rhapsody in Blue" from my favorite composer George Gershwin and also ""Piano Concerto no 2" from Rachmaninov are brilliant 😎 out 💚 of 💚 this 💚 world.
The whole idea that a god would be selectively kind with gifts to one individual over another, is ludicrous to me, and one of the reasons I do not believe in any gods. Also the idea that a god would be unbelievably spiteful to some other perfectly innocent individuals, (childhood cancer, cerebral palsy, etc). is one of the other reasons I will never believe. What you see here is Emily Bear's good grace, nobody else's. *Absolutely* nobody else's!
It's a combination of a number of different tunes - everything from Rhapsody in Blue to Bumble Bee Boogie with a number of her compositions in between.
Absolutely incredible...as I am posting this comment obviously someone is doing a multi-account hack. Currently 8 Thumbs up and 10 Thumbs down...give me a break.
Kara Brown also LaLaLand - here at 1:04 ff and 1:48ff - Emily Bear - Orchestra - LalaLand Ouverture - Night of the Proms Tour 2017 ruclips.net/video/LvWZotc9M44/видео.html
@@tillm2481 Loved Night of the Proms. I wish she would do a tour like that in the U.S. I don't know if she would has the following she has in Europe. Can't wait when her next album comes out when she sings.
Raymond Rankin Her management could/should have already released at least ther two Nancy Drew songs, the movie is in cinema for a week now...many people don't even know about it because they had no money for promo of the movie...despite produced by Ellen DeGeneres - it would not have been only positive for Emily but also promo for the movie without paying extra for it..I am banging my head against the wall for days now... this handling is the most stupid doing one can think of.this handling would be unthinkable in Germany...managements would not survive a few month
If this girl along with Alma Deutscher fail to inspire every young musician on earth something is horribly wrong. One leaning to jazz and film scores and one towards classical and opera. Life is good isn;t it
I haven't forgot Joey, just couldn't include everybody, but to omit Joey and Angelina was very remiss of me, Very sorry (will go stand in the naughty corner). I actually love classical music but also jazz. That comes from spending much of my miss-spent youth in Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in Soho (living close to London that was easy). Saw some of the greatest there, Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, Milt Jackson and Ella Fitzgerald. It was the memory of Ella that made me well up when I saw little Angelina Jordan sing 'Every Time we Say Goodbye'.. The future of jazz is more secure now with these youngsters.
The good thing about Deutscher is that she is attempting genuine high level composition that can be measure and is measured against the greats like Mozart. An extremely tough call. So far at 12 she is producing the goods - Violin and piano Sonatas, concertos, Operas that stand up to professional composition scrutiny. Her violin and piano playing are as good as any of the prodigies out there, but that is common stuff and not really that interesting, being a 'gifted player' is Not such a gifted thing anymore. But you can see so far that her playing as a Composer is different to that of 'performers' , understated and more true to the music. The risk for Deutscher is the same - if they want to chase money then they will make a performing monkey out of her, have her composing 'quick entertainment music' and playing to impress impatient audiences, aka what is happening/happened to Emily.
A bit of an oversell....nice to have access to American marketing avenues. A confused medley , technically perfect but boring no individuality of style or any phrase that is slightly memorable. She needs to grow and find...feelings . A long way to go yet to reach the Katia Bonyatishvili tenderness of execution and powerful mesmerizing force of presence..
There are 10,000 Chinese 8 year-olds who can play this well. Problem with child music prodigies is that they are becoming common, and not so 'prodigious' anymore. Playing fast loud flashy music doesn't substitute for being a real musician, but that is what the crowd wants, short sharp entertainment. There are thousands of 'gifted' violinists, pianists and so on nowadays. So Emily isn't so special in that regard, though made popular in the US as the US is want to do. WHAT is rare are genuine gifted serious Composers of real music, that goes beyond just fast loud flashy apegios, runs and banging chords which seems to substitute for real composing now. Hopefully Emily will ditch this type of rubbish when she gets older and see if she can get down to Genuine composition, if she as the talent. Then you will know if she is really gifted,. Unfortunately her managers will push her to where the money is, and where the money is where genuine works is not.
Wtf are you smoking, have you listened to her original compositions? They are some of the most genuine and unassuming but powerful pieces I've heard and she started doing them when she was 6.
[Akane Cortich] When anyone reads comments posted by idiots the first thing that comes to mind is, "gee, I hope whatever he is inflicted with that causes such stupid remarks to come forth is NOT contagious!!! Hate to become an addle brained nitwit as this moron!!! Lets see, Emily plays "Rimsky Korsakov's" "Flight of the Bumble Bee", some "Jazz" compositions she composed, other compositions like "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and this idiot calls them "fast loud flashy music"!!! Maybe he actually doesn't recognize what Emily is playing. Maybe Emily should be playing "Tchaikovsky's" 1812 Overture" ........but wait; that can be really LOUD with all the cannon banging away. Can't be that!!! Oh, and I really like this MUSICAL GENIUS calling this, "this type of rubbish"!!! There is an old saying that completely applies to you "Akane Cortich", "it is better to keep ones mouth shut and thought a fool, then to open it and remove all doubt"!!!
Very well said Akane, I totally agree with you. Anyone that has all those years playing/practicing piano can play like that. The reason there are no “genius” anymore is that in our days pop music is so simple and lame that people go nuts with anything
You stated "though made popular in the US as the US is want to do". Evidently the world is "want to do", because Emily plays all over the world and is very well-known the world over. She has played with many orchestras. Do you consider orchestral classical music "rubbish"? You show resentment of her success and popularity. I have a feeling that you can't play yourself so you criticize, maliciously, not constructively. The 10,000 Chinese 8 year olds you refer to can probably play classical music as well (and I say probably for the sake of argument), but I can guarantee they don't have Emily's versatility. If you were to ask them to complete a jazz composition or put one in front of them to play, they would most likely be stymied. Evidently you haven't really followed Emily Bear or you would know she has composed a ton of "serious, real music". The very term is ridiculous. All music is real if it brings joy to the listeners, whether it be a jazz composition, a classical piece by one of the long dead composers, or a "new" classical piece by Emily Bear. You should watch her video "Les Voyages" composed and orchestrated by Emily at age 12.
She is the most amazing young lady that i have ever in my life seen!
and the smile never wipes off her face. i'm in love with this girl omg
How anyone could give this young lady a thumbs down amazes me!! I imagine they are very jealous of her talent or simply just assholes with nothing better to do than try and hurt someone else!?

Emily, you never disappoint! So much talent in your young body, from head to toe!
A true gift to us all!!!!
I remember seeing her videos when she was just five wow time flies real fast
I've been following her videos since she was barely 6. I wondered what it would be like if Mozart was born in modern times. Now I know.

Where is the LOVE button? My next life I want to be able to play like Emily.
Music knows no race or political agenda. If you play music to do so your lost in your own dreams.
Diese unbekümmerte Leichtigkeit....... immer wieder faszinierend.....

May I know what piece is she playing? Is it an original?
It's a combination of a number of different tunes - everything from Rhapsody in Blue to Bumble Bee Boogie with a number of her compositions in between.

The good thing about Deutscher is that she is attempting genuine high level composition that can be measure and is measured against the greats like Mozart. An extremely tough call.
