+Keith Tinkler - Indeed. I like the added depth of sound to Emily's music which the sax and flugelhorn bring into the mix. Overall I think that these Stuttgart concerts have firmly established Emily (here at age 13) as a professional jazz musician. Who else on this planet is doing this sort of thing at this age?

W O W...Excellent performance! (and she wrote most of that! and she did it ALL from MEMORY, too!!! I just GLAD that Quincy Jones hand picked her bass player and drummer. They play very well together! I just wish they'd put a pickup on the bass. He has to beat his brains out to get it lou enough to be heard. He's good!

Ahhh, Emily of Pittsburgh. That great cosmopolitan city noted for all its young gifted classical/jazz composers. Lol😂 This girl's story isn't even once in a lifetime; it's just once. There's loads of great young instrumentalists around the world, but mega-talented composers across nearly every known genre? Not so much.

+Leng Sorhaindo joey is awesome, i'm proud of him!!! I'm indonesian too so my excitement for him is doubled lol. btw ppl often compare emily to joey which in my opinion cannot be compare coz they both extremely talented but extremely different too. Joey strength is in his improvisation, while emily's in composition. emily almost never played other ppl music in jazz, she mostly only played her own songs like in this video. Jazz is herway to have fun and feel freedom. 1st and 3rd song she composed for the event, mean 2 or 3 weeks before the event. and the 2nd one is 3 months before.

    Emily,
¡What a pity!
By-by.
