Hey all! The honors program at UMN can be quite confusing, and has a lot of rules and requirements that are very important for honors students to understand! Hopefully this video makes the system a lot clearer!

To add on to the Pros/Cons of honors section: I definitely recommend talking with your advisor about how the requirement load and opportunities offered will match up with your chosen academic path - honors might be more of a burden and workload for some majors than it is for others. Some of my friends and classmates have expressed frustration with the program while many really enjoy it. The majority of honors students stick with it, but ultimately the quality of the experience will vary between individuals!
