This Tutorial is so much important that Toon boom must add it to their channel. The nodes hierarchy structure that you presented is very well organized .
It’s great to see the curve-a-lope deformation being used. Too often we rig with curve deformers on the outside of assets. This has the feel of the rubber-hose animation. Great work
One thing I'd do it just put a deformer on the neck piece.. just a simple adjustment. But other than that it's a great rig, love the way you organized the Node View
It's a good idea to group drawing nodes into groups for easy and fluid node management, I think you can condense lots of nodes density in a single view and have more focused node structures. Less wires in a single view.
Holy shit. Thats one crazy rig! I'm just a few Days into Toon Boom and pr obably get 15% of what ur talking about lol but still, loved watching the whole thing.
You are very organized, you know I could never wrap my head around illustrator for some reason but this plugins are expensive. Nice rig and look of your cartoon ... very impressive
Just wanted to let you know I've downloaded the rig. Thank you so much for sharing! I am going to use it for my learning purposes. You really rock making it this far!
awesome walkthrough brother....very tight work....I originally got in as an animator but the pilot I was hired to do included way more than just animation...So i got into rigging and after about a yr or 2 I got a pretty decent production rig going on. I like yours....very organized. Can I ask you bouts the fee you would charge for this sorta gig....full turnaround rig....feel free to PM me. I hope that we can work together someday as well.
Hey great tutorial man thnks for sharing!!! mmmm hey can you tell me which is the program that appears in this tutorial, that you use it to watch videos frame by frame? Pleasee hehe
Great rig! Does anyone know is it legal to post an animation create with that character on instagram? Ofc I won't make any money out of it, and I will mention the creator. Thanks for answer!
Would be better if he created/owned the design - Likely fine for Instagram/learning/personal use. I know for Disney you have to actually buy a license to use even a fan made copy of a char on a website, not sure if all company's would take it that seriously. Likely not unless you were making lots of money off it. Should totally make more like this with original art to sell- great idea and informative. I have been rigging in Toonboom for 10 years, always interesting to see how others do it.
Nice video.. I have a cartoon i am working on in Toonboom. I am not great at character rigging but I have all my characters designed and colored. Would you be in the business of Rigging my characters for me? Let me know if that is possible. I am willing to pay a reasonable price.
Hey Moezart, what project are you currently working on? We're working on an animated series, and looking for animators to work with in our spare time. Not paid, passion project :)

Just bought it, thank you for uploading it. It's quite helpful in rigging characters. Your structure and hierarchy is very concise and organized! ❥
