    This product has worked well for me and my 2004 6.0L now with 130K miles on stock oil and egr coolers.

    Might be good also to shoot a little compressed air behind the water

      Yes that is also an option that some have used with success. I like to surge the water/pressure with the pistol grip sprayer. Whatever works for you is the way to tackle it.

      You are correct. I recently backflushed with water and compressed air combination. The compressed air did a much better job than water alone. I added a short video showing the explosive affect that the air adds.

      @@jimcooper3969 Hi can you tell what parts you used in order to shoot air into the system?

    After flush is complete. How many gallons of the shell ELC does it take? Also is it necessary to add distilled water, if so how many gallons?
    Please advise. Would be nice if you can make a video from flush to refill.
    Thank you,

    Looks very promising...I'm going to give it a shot and will be ordering your valve soon. I've got an early '04 Excursion with the 6.0. I have close to 50K on my engine after a Bulletproof EGR Cooler and OEM Oil Cooler replacement. I've done 2 regular flushes since installing the EGR and Oil Cooler, but am currently running an 18* Delta on the flats, and a 26* Delta on the hills without a load. I'm also running the Bulletproof Water pump and BPD aluminum radiator. A Bulletproof Oil Cooler would be nice, but I don't have $2K - $3K sitting around for the oil cooler and installation. I'll let you know how the whole thing turns out. Maybe I'll do my first video. :-)

    Did you have to remove the thermostat?

    Did you reuse your coolant or just add new coolant?

      I drained into a clean container and reused as it was fairly new.

      Oil Cooler Backflush Valve Fixur6 that's my situation as well. currently seeing 22 degree deltas after a coolant flush and filter install. how much difference in deltas did you see after the flush? Thanks for your fast reply.

      At the normal test conditions of 65mph flat ground truck only I have 8 to 10 degrees delta. Towing it goes to 15 to 18.

      If you are considering the Fixur6 backflush valve they are in stock. Usually ships same day. It's permanently installed and makes the process much easier. Good luck.

      Oil Cooler Backflush Tool & Valve Fixur6 do you have a shop to? I pay someone to install and do it for me lol

    • @oilcoolerbackflushtoolvalv9021
      @oilcoolerbackflushtoolvalv9021  6 лет назад

      Sorry but I do not have a shop. There is a local facebook group that discusses these trucks. It is 502 Diesels. Many people highly recommend Cory Wigginton. His shop is Wiggys Garage. 502-807-3342. I could ship to you and you could ask what they would charge to install and backflush. Good luck and let me know how it goes.
