      One of the biggest takes was the definition of freedom. The whole process of the conversation is giving so much clarity. The steps taken ripped to the core. The correlation between the curiosity and the breakthrough was an eye-opener. So... I think a coaching session with Ajit is quite an experience. Your energy and warmth are wonderful. I personally found very interesting that there were moments of explicit interpretation and statements about how to look at things differently, as opposed to 'playing back' what had been said and looking for further insights from the client. A point where I saw this happening is when you say that 'keeping the job or not keeping the job is not the question'. At first it sounded to me like a decision made by the coach, especially when saying "quitting the job shouldn't be the objective". As a coach I never use these expressions because it'd feel like I'm telling them what is right. However, I see how and why you use it, and it goes with an actively supporting, lifting style of coaching. Something that has been limited in my coaching education. Finally, there is a point where I'd have jumped asking further, and was instead put aside, so I'd like a comment from you: around the minute 16, there is this great question about what she really feels when she thinks of quitting now, apart from the financial uncertainty (which is already clearly not the point), and she answers referring to the fact that one voice tells her she has still much to do, that she would leave things unfinished, while another says "what? why?".. there, I'd have explored further. The arguments from both voices, what/who is behind them. Your choice was to say that the financial problem is not the issue and to describe the typical day. To me, it sounded like an interruption of the flow and a direction given by the coach. But I guess it's a matter of choice points....? Thanks very much for this session, it really got me thinking. And may I add something trivial? :O) Is it me or does Ajit look a lot like John Legend?? 🙂

    Ajit - it seems like most coaching examples focus on the initial meeting with clients - how they see their future, creating a game plan, etc. Do you have example video's of coaching session # 6 or 16? How do they differ in your format from session #1?

      Great question, Burt! Unfortunately, we don't currently have any coaching demonstrations that are farther along in the coaching journey, but we do have a video explaining how sessions should evolve that can answer your question. Watch it here: ruclips.net/video/cMoUmVdmEvg/видео.html. Let us know if it helps! ❤

    Wit due respects Coach Ajith, The ideal coaching question would have been asking the client for meaning of security. Asking if it is "financial secuirty" comes across as a leading question.

    • @mindvalleycoach
      @mindvalleycoach  2 года назад

      That's a great question to ask, Aruna! There's no right or wrong approach, but asking first about security could've been a great way to start that conversation as well. Thanks for sharing ❤

    I liked the poker and card game analogy. However, how do you close? Do you leave it to them to book another session? Or do you say, do you want to book another session now?

    • @mindvalleycoach
      @mindvalleycoach  Год назад

      Great question, Cynthia! It depends on where you're at with the client. Coach Ajit shared this analogy with Karina as a final thought she could simmer on after this conversation, as it was a one-off free demonstration. We always encourage coaches to enroll clients on packages instead of single coaching sessions, because then you have more time and commitment to actually take them through a journey and achieve the result they are looking for. So in those cases, you could use this analogy during a free call before enrolling a new client so they can think about what is the outcome they want to achieve, or during the coaching contract in any session where it is relevant for the next step in the conversation. We hope that answers your question!

    With due respect, I believe the "fixer" came out during this session - I feel that you were leading her to a certain outcome that you wanted to hear . I'd love to see more client led discovery. And sometimes you posted more than one question at a time , would have been better you asked ,pause and wait for her to answer.

      I see it in the exact same way. It was a coach-led conversation, with statements on his part of what “the point here is” or is not, and what is right and what is wrong (“quitting the job shouldn’t be the objective”…. Shouldn’t?). Maybe it’s what the client needed, but honestly, she being a successful professional with quite some experience, I’d have given her full trust in finding her own “what the objective here is” and consequent solutions.

    • @mindvalleycoach
      @mindvalleycoach  2 года назад

      Hi Smarie! If you are referring to the small video of Ajit on the bottom left corner, that's the recording of Ajit watching the recording of his coaching session with Karina (as you can see throughout the video, when he's coaching Karina he's wearing a yellow cap) and he is looking down at the recording because he's watching it from a different screen from the one he is recording to the camera. Let us know if that cleared it up for you! :)

    Might the client feel insulted if they SAY (like this client did) that it’s FINANCIAL resources they are talking about, and we ask AGAIN?
    I’d feel like the coach wasn’t listening. 😢

    • @mindvalleycoach
      @mindvalleycoach  5 месяцев назад

      It really depends on the context of the conversation and how you phrase your questions. It could be a possibility that the client's answer was too vague, and we want to dig deeper. And if you feel the client might feel insulted, you can take some time to explain or try a different question. Thanks for asking!

    Hi Ajit -some feedback / why do you have this very inauthentic accent - it is very misplaced and irritating as well . No idea why you wear a Hat / A hat if you should know is worn to save you from the hot sun - when you are OUTDOORS - so why would you wear one in a studio - on a coaching call to audiences or your client . Comments on many of your videos are turned off - you are probably good as a financial support in a company / but as a coach or in front of the camera you have no personality or authencity to charm the listeners. Please invest in a coach to help you to come across more honest - it is impossible to connect with your audience .

    • @mindvalleycoach
      @mindvalleycoach  2 года назад

      Hi Cleo! We're not sure what you mean with "inauthentic accent" (as Coach Ajit is Indian) and the real issue with the hat? But we respect your opinion if you don't resonate with Coach Ajit's coaching and teaching style. Here are some coaching demonstrations by other Master Coaches, maybe you resonate with one of their styles better: ruclips.net/p/PLLz6vjpxFbXjbUJ9ZgZXpmjgWmqXzWNEJ.

      I would be happy to reply if there is a link provided and you truly value feedback . We welcome you being Indian - they are some of the most amazing people - you have several on the mindvalley platform and I respect and resonate with them too . If you had an native Indian accent it would have been very welcome but it is very clear that you do not soeak in your original accent and the accent which you put in comes accross as inauthentic and fake . Any accent doesn’t make you better or worse than anyone else it just makes you different . I have spoken with a couple if other like minded people who felt the same way about Ajit s accent and his misplaced hat . People first buy you and then they can buy your course or what you say . Your personality must work in your favour if you want people to listen to you or resonate with you . It is all about evoking trust and connection .
      All the same thank you for sharing the links to for the other coaching styles. Much appreciated . Do hope you can take the feedback as an opportunity to upgrade a couple of areas . Cheers . Have a good day
