Thanks for the details in removing the air bag. I've watched a lot of videos and nobody shows the air bag after it is removed to show the guides where the probe goes. Took me less than 5 minutes to remove my air bag. Thanks again for posting.
For those wondering you wait for 10 minutes so you can let the capacitors in the airbag drain

The T 25 is the correct tool to disengage the airbag cover...it released in less than one minute. ✔️💯
Congrats you did it the hard way. You can take just the paddles off from the back. Behind the paddles there's a panel pop that off and 2 little screws and out they come.

I always thought that if I owned an automatic, I'd want paddle shifters. So, I bought an automatic 2011 Camaro with them. After I used them a few times, I thought it was pretty stupid. I never used them after about a week. Ya live, Ya learn! To each their own. Great install video though and glad you are enjoying the hell out of that car.
I think the transformer from zauto lets you use the stereo buttons on the steering wheel to change gears, kinda like paddles. I've got one of the older Challengers with the 6.1 hemi and they used to make paddles for it, but discontinued them a while back and are no longer available unfortunately. I love their products and have a burnbox for line lock, which locks up the front brembos and is awesome for huge smokey burnouts without engaging the rear brakes

before you enabled the shifters does the vloume button works or not ? on the steering
Abdullah Essa Nice! hope you don't have any troubles with the airbag, that is definitely the hardest part to the install. But everything works except for the paddle shifter itself until you set up the Tazer.

@The02CumminsRam I recently purchased a 2019 Challenger sxt plus that I would also like to add paddles to and had a few questions, do you have to have a tazer to activate the paddles or can it be done by the dealer, and with Performance pages when you switched it to sport/Performance mode did the steering change or anything ? The steering you can change in the settings from normal, sport, and comfort.

yes, Just install a set of paddle shifters then get a Z automotive Tazer and you’ll be able to program it to turn on the feature as if it came from factory

Do you leave your tazer plugged in all the time cause I turned on performance pages and it sez yes but the app doesn't show up in uconnect so should I leave it plugged in is that why it's not on and do you have to shut car off first and then turn it on again so it can work before it initiates in uconnect screen??????
clark kent I leave mine plugged in all the time, and whenever you change a setting you must make sure you exit the Taser menu properly and do a full sleep cycle/shut down of your car before it will work. I'll be making a full video on the Tazer this Thursday.

You install the oem paddle shifters and use the Tazer to program it, it’ll work for ya!

I saw a 300s steering wheel on ebay that has the heated wheel and paddle shifters already installed. Does anyone know if I can use the taser firmware to update my 300 so I don't have to pay a dealer to unluck those features if I install the steering wheel?

I just purchased me a set of shift paddles for my SXT PLUS. My question for you is I read some where that the one of the obd tools doesn't work to unlock the performance pages and shifter paddles if you have uconnect subscription. Did you have a uconnect subscription when you installed those upgrades and if so does it work?. I have a uconnect subscription on my car and wanted to know before I purchased the Tazer. Thanks

I did a cat back with Jones exhaust full boar max flow 1256 mufflers and straight pipe from them to the rear. I have a video of it on my page. Just a suggestion and nearly 0 drone

Im wonder if my Chrysler can use it. It doesnt have no way to shift even sport is the traction control off. My shifter has PRNDL so yeah i hope to see if it works

Just rear mufflers... DO NOT remove the mids (resonators). If you remove both, it will sound like a rice burner. Buy a performance exhaust, or just delete rear mufflers.
You don't have to leave it plugged in. You can unplug it everything will still be there!

Hey I love your videos but I have a serious question about the Tazer and the performance pages. I did everything you did with the shifter paddles and I got the Tazer. The question is i have a uconnect subscription already and when I installed the Tazer and tried to use the performance pages on my radio it says I need to renew my uconnect subscription to be able to use the performance pages. How did you get the pages?
Joe Restivo Mopar or No car They appeared right after I turned perfset and STP (super track pack) on with the Tazer and did a sleep cycle. No problems at all, is yours a 2017? because the 15 and 16’s have different radios, that could be a factor.

I reached out to Z Automotive too, they explicitly state that the performance pages will not be available on SXT model on the Uconnect screen. Wanted to know if you had to do some other "trickery" to get them to work on your vehicle.
juanovm No trickery, it just worked. Also mine is the SXT Plus with the 8.4” Uconnect screen, it doesn’t work on the 5.0” Uconnect screen.

Hey Man, not to bother you too much, but quick question.
I installed the paddles, did the Tazer re-prog; and the performance pages show up, the extra info on the EVIC shows up ( Cooling temp, timers, Gforces, etc) but the paddles do not work.
I changed the following settings :
Performance Pages
Paddles
Did I miss one?
I noticed that in your video you mentioned the Super Track Pack. Is that one needed too, I did not want to try that one yet.
Also, when taking it for service, are you undoing all changes? Feels like stupid to undo those changes, knowing that the paddles are right there and there.

Rachael Russell You can still put a tazer on you just won't get any features that appear in the 8.4 screen, you'll still get the EVIC screen performance timers etc. and all other features.

Ezautomotive nope. The car functions 100% normal, I even leave the Tazer plugged in 24/7 and I never know it's there.

jim walsh I checked for an update thinking there would be one, but the Tazer came already fully up-to-date.
Can I shift without paddles?
Yes. Slapshift option. Put the car in drive then push it to the left.
btw you can use a bluetooth scanner and the app obd jscan to enable the paddle shifters without needing the tazer. (which i also used to enable the performance pages) alot of options.

That's why I had to write down the settings that were on my car before changing them, as long as I take the Tazer off and change the settings back to factory before going into service it will be like nothing ever happened, thus keeping the warranty.

Ladies and gentlemen, amateurs should not attempt this. He did this completely wrong and they have a special tool that makes this so much easier. I do 10 to 20 air bag recalls a day and it takes me a total of 5 minutes to do them. Please leave this for a professional.
