@@bananza9860 It's not so much a gaming problem that is being mentioned as it is a problem when you are making a sound comparison video between two switches where even minute differences in sound are things to be considered. @@tremolo_truong if each switch is being used on the same desk, it doesn't matter right? if one sounds deeper on that rattly desk, it'll sound deeper on a not rattly desk.
@@bananza9860 No, that is not my point. My point is that a boomy or rattly desk would majorly cover up sound details about a switch that would have been picked up by the mic, and in turn, your ears, just like a hollow pingy case or super scratchy switches would. It would "dirty" up the pure sounds of the switches in consideration. It is super minor, but it's worth mentioning, and overall I'm glad this comparison exists.

tangerines are definitely superior, especially if you’re looking for smoothness. someone else said that they’re identical when that’s just wrong, tangerines are lighter, smoother, and have a higher pitch compared to black inks
Should I get the tangerine or the inks tangerines are cheaper but inks give it a nice thocc i want a smooth a thocc switch which one would give me both of those thank u
If you like the thocc and don't mind a heavier switch I would get the black ink v2. I chose the tangerine personally because I like the lighter 62g switch. I don't think the tangerines are worth the high after market prices they are going for. But if you can get them at MSRP they are worth it.
@@IDES0 are they new or used? And how many switches? They retail for 65 cents a piece + tax and shipping. 70 switches would retail for around $55-60. I don’t think $70 is unreasonable if they are new or like new.
Thanks for checking out the video! I think typically people would lube the springs with an oil like 105. 205 is more of a grease and is thicker. For the springs really the only reason you need to lube them is to eliminate the spring pinging / ringing sound that can sometimes occur. Whereas for switch housing and stems you want to increase the smoothness and dampen the sound. I haven't tried using 205g0 on the springs myself. Here's some more info you can check out on lubing: keyboard.university/200-courses/switch-lubes-the-basics
honestly, it is mainly just the convenience, lubing with 205g0 takes way longer than 105 because you can "bag lube" them, so you just squirt in oil and then shake them, its soooo much faster, and plus it will most likely do a bit of a better job
@@HungNguyen-oz1jc Lubed and filmed you will not be able to tell a big difference in smoothness. Stock I believe the Tangerines are smother than black ink. However, black ink has a little more stem wobble even when lubed and filmed. Ultimately for me it came down to spring weight. I like the lighter 62g tangerine. The black ink was just a little too heavy.
Yes you are right most people choose 67g. I have not tried those yet but will try to pick some up during the next drop and do a comparison between 62 and 67g. I do have some kiwi switches coming and will test those also.
Is no body going to talk about that desk rattle besides that great video
This would be a non issue to me. Unless I’m gaming.
His desk is gasket mounted

it's interesting that you say gateron inks are deeper in sound when the recorded sound test shows the otherwise.

in my opinion tang and black inks almost identical, I have done side by side comparisons my self both sound amazing
What about the smoothness?
good luck with that 😆 some say you have more chance of having a Nvidia 3080 at MSRP then a tangerines Switches

0.125 or 0.15
that little bit of thickness for switch films probably doesn't even affect it, I went with .15 though

those stabs a bit rattely
