What thickness foam did you use ? and what do you think is the maximum thickness you could put inside?

This is such a good idea I hadn't thought of using my Cricut to make custom foam cutouts. Where did you get the template for this? or did you measure it all out yourself?

This is so much better than the haphazard cut outs people do, after so meticulously measuring and cutting the foam to fit the board perfectly. The suggestion of taking a picture and making a cut file from that is fantastic!

I'm really regretting getting 205g0 for the kiwis that i ordered. I should've bought tribosys 3204 instead=( But there's nothing I can do about it

The trouble with this sound test is the position of the alphas, which has a huge impact overall, especially the closer you get to that backslash key.

the krytox sounds best imo, do you have to remove the stock lube first though?

Hey, thanks for this very helpful video! I'm rather new to this hobby and I'm looking for a tactile switch that I could lube in the future, but dont have to. At 7:22 you mentioned that you're going to do a seperate video where you compare the feeling of Kiwis, Koalas and some other switches. Right now I actually struggle deciding between buying the Kiwis on Tuesday or the Koalas. Could you please give me a short summary of how these compare? (tactile bump, roundness, stem wobble, smoothness, consistency, sound and noticable spring ping) Remember, I'd like to have a good stock switch... This would actually be SOOO helpful! I'd love to hear from you asap!

I think you should have included one where you lube the bottom housing, stem, and spring since that's how a lot of ppl lube their switches. Also, switch sounds different based on their position on the board, so your method might not be that "scientific" in terms of limiting variables. But overall great video, keep it up!

this was a really good review, I've watched a few videos reviewing this switch and you're the only one who highlights the issue of the rattle sound.

still sounds hollow lol, apply more lube to the bottom housings or just use a thicker lube. apart from that, nice build man

it's interesting that you say gateron inks are deeper in sound when the recorded sound test shows the otherwise.

you went really in depth with the extensive sound test and i love that! great video edit: my favorite bottom out sound was with 3204 and deskey films, but the top out sounds was quite annoying :(

what lube did you use for your switches? (I might be wrong but it sounds like thin lube something like Tribosys 3204)
