This! I’d heard about Canva and was too intimidated to try. I have two bathrooms that need redoing and I just haven’t known where to start. I look at all the Pinterest things I have put under “bathroom remodel” and I struggle seeing how to put them all together or do they even go together. And when I shop for items, I want to be able to shop with a plan. You’ve shown me that Canva can be a great tool and despite my nontechnical nature 😵💫 I think I can do it. I do think more of these videos will be helpful to people like me, figuring out the process. ❤️
This is so helpful! We bought our house six years ago...and it looks like we just moved in. Lots of stuff in boxes, plastic to protect floors from paint (which we haven't done)...I'm not even sure what my style is. This will go a long way toward helping me figure it out. I'd love to see more on this topic!
I’m watching this video after having already seen the primary bedroom makeover video, and I am finding it so delightful to notice moments where I can clearly see how close the final execution of the design is to the inspiration. So satisfying as a viewer, and I imagine it’s even more satisfying to experience in your own space!
I just stumbled on your channel, and I'm so vibing! ❤Love your design ideas for low budgets and your "after" reveals. And the background jazz!! I'm a new fan.
Interesting program. I love Pinterest, I have boards for each room of my house, gardens, yard art and many others. Look forward to your bedroom makeover. I think some sort of vintage medicine cabinet would work for your perfume collection, a thrifted piece in keeping with your thrift style. I have an antique armoire, purchased from Craig's list. Theres shelves for folded clothes instead of hanging, which works better for me. The backside of the door, I padded & satin covered it, criss crossed ribbon, installed hooks to hang necklaces, bracelets a couple of miniature frames, photos and a few mementos. On one of the shelves, I have a thrifted vintage frame. The inside of the frame, matches the padding, ribbon & satin of the door; I have some of my grandma's vintage costume pins displayed with a photo of my grandma. She collected pins.
That’s a great idea! I was considering maybe an armoire instead of a dresser and adding shelves! And the door would be great to hang necklaces etc. Man, I haven’t used Craigslist in forever. I feel like they got kind of weird in my area a while ago, super scammy but maybe I should check back again.
@@livingwithlk - Craig's list got a bit strange here also. I bought the armoire about 8 years ago before it got weird. Market Place is a much better platform. Do you have an e-mail address? I can send you a couple of photos of the armoire, inside the door and framed pins. TY
I loved this video!! Seeing the design process from a different POV is inspiring even if it’s not exactly my style! Looking forward to trying this for myself ❤
Loved this video! Please do more of these!! Making mood boards is so much fun to me lol. Your idea to do this with imaginary rooms with fake limitations would also be very helpful/inspiring. :)
Thanks. Very helpful to see the mood board process, it does help narrow down options and focus you, as you say. I like so many things/styles that I end up aimlessly scrolling so need help corralling ideas. You went back and forth but it's definitely "boo teek" not "bow teek" 😉. Looking forward to the makeover down the line.
Great tips! I’ve been loving those interestingly patterned stripey blankets lately! ( not sure what to call them!) Your Pinterest boards have all the same stuff as mine! lol
Thank you!! They remind me of these african cloths I used to buy at the Silverlake flea market. I’m not sure if there’s an official name for the ones we’re liking! I love that we have the same style ☺️
Hey, I also live in SD and am wanting to start to acquire some vintage pieces of furniture to replace my big box store stuff. Obviously there's FB Marketplace but are there any go to shops in SD that you like? Also I LOVE your channel and your style.
That’s so cool! I seriously find all of my best vintage pieces at flea markets and estate sales all over so cal. I definitely travel out of town to see what else is out there. Shops tend to be too pricey for me but for design inspo there’s a great mid century shop owned by one guy in north park. I forget the street name but he’s a good time to talk to! and has great taste. Thanks so much!!🥰😊
Hello. This is an interest process. Having a direction and or plan is a good jump off point. My question is how do you break what you pick down. I get overwhelmed by choosing so much.
Hi! Thanks so much. I think the plan can be as easy as "I need a bed, and I would like a wood one, maybe" haha and just letting yourself continue to keep searching. I am not sure I understand your question, though. Do you mean how do you know which bed to choose? (for example)
I love Milanote, but the storage fills up really fast and then you have to pay for their membership. which I would totally do if I was working with clients, but I get a lot of use out of Canva outside of mood boarding, and their free option is great too!
How many times have you put off designing your home because it just feels too overwhelming to turn your inspiration into reality? 🙋🏼

This video was so helpful! Would love to see more room design videos where you talk through your thought process
Awesome! Thanks so much! 😊
Watching you use Canva was more helpful than I would have thought. It's gotten me inspired to use it to help me with my living room!
that’s amazing! I’m so glad to hear that!

of course!
Hey! Always look forward to your videos. Also your recommendation for feed and wax has been great so thanks for that!

That’s awesome! Thanks so much 😊 Let me know how it goes!
It was really cool to see your inspiration progress 😊 I like the design idea and can’t wait to see the bedroom makeover once you get started.
Thanks so much! I can't wait to get it finished : )
Wow this is an actually useful and actionable video, thanks so much! I already use Canva and Pinterest but this gave me the practical tips I needed.
That’s awesome! :)

I use milanote, and its free.
