This is the sign my follicular phase needed. Feeling so inspired that I just stood in the corner of my bedroom for fifteen straight minutes and silently stared at everything. My husband is concerned because he knows something's coming. Looking forward to the kitchen version of this and giving my mans an anxiety disorder.

Hey Caroline - sitting in the flat I’ve just moved into by myself as a single twenty something guy surrounded by full packing boxes and work to do. I’ve been anticipating this move for a long time and have been trying to make sure my home will feel comfortable, creative, calming and like mine after having lived in places that have sapped my energy for years. Tonight I was really run down after a difficult few days of work and moving, and wondering where to find the motivation to keep unpacking boxes. Started watching this video and instantly wanted to get back on my feet and keep at it. Few other people in my life really care about this sort of thing but I’m finding an enjoyment in decor and design recently after never really feeling drawn to it before, and just sampling the energy and passion you have for this really reminded me what I’m working towards. Thankyou for that and for the inspo!!

Mother of a babe here! The nursery shaming online is REAL lol. Artwork shouldn't be hung on a wall adjacent to a crib, BUT. If you look, it's on a recessed wall about 1 foot away from crib. I think that is totally fine. The parents are also obv into safety given they have a legit-grade monitor hanging above the crib. You were justified in fighting online w/ this stranger ahhaha.
Thanks for sharing nursery inspo! For mine, I made my own artwork of a landscape. Super cheap and a creative way to channel my nesting instincts - knowing my son will have artwork I made him forever is so much better than buying a generic nursery print online. I think you will set good boundaries in the proper time and am sure you'd be super protective of your kids' privacy and your own maternal sanity some day. Just based on how you protect your dating privacy, you've got a good head on your shoulders. You don't owe anyone that side of you if you don't wish to share it! Prayers/love to you!

Sometimes I used to dream of being on my own when I had moments of feeling overwhelmed with the girls and feeling isolated in a new country. This felt like adding 4” to the height. Then I put the curtains just under the crown moulding and that added another foot of height. Hi Caroline! I'm a big fan and I actually got my mom into your videos too! She's been really into redesigning her house, clearly inspired by your videos! It's so cool to see her having fun with designing her home instead of stressing about it. Every time I visit her house her style has evolved and there are new and interesting things to see. :)
We often talk about "What would Caroline do with [enter interior design problem here]?"
Are you planning on doing anymore of those critique/advice interior design videos for viewers' rooms?

By the time I drag myself to bed, the last thing I need is a room that is 'cute as hell'. I want rest, harmony, peace and tranquility. I look for gorgeous sheets, silky duvets, low lighting, somewhere to sit and take off my clothes, shoes, a soft rug to dig my feet in.
    And velvet pillows.
Hahaha. I counted maybe 7 or 8 velvet pillows in these inspo photos. However, point taken, world. Stop going to sleep in unbeautiful spaces. This is your dream time. Make your fantasies come true. Thanks little sweetie for your always interesting viewpoints.

Gosh you are a gift sent from heaven for me right now. We are moving into our own house and we will be free to do whatever. I know I want to go crazy. I am very creative but I have no clue about design. I was scared to go bold what knew I wanted to go bold. I already knew I would like to make the ceiling colorful of our bedroom since it is tiny and only our bed will fit. So it will be a room full of bed and ceiling. From your videos I gather so much knowledge. Thank you! ❤

Absolutely loved this video. The way you think about design is so intentional and clear. I would have never been able to identify the strengths of each space and what strategies I should apply to my own space without your insight. Your compassion for each person who’s space you show and appreciation for the style they have even if it isn’t your own is absolutely awesome. Please keep producing these. I can’t wait to learn more about interior design than I could ever imagine.
Also absolutely love every bed to couch rant and I hope that continues to be a theme too.

Feng Shui consultant apprentice here. There are a couple simple things you can do to purify your bed (and I reckon you have nothing to lose by trying them out!). Firstly, leave a bowl of salt and rice on top of your bed for the day (or overnight if you happen to be out). Toss the salt and rice away afterwards. Secondly, waft burning incense around the bed frame and then walk outside of the apartment with the incense still burning. Once outside, you can extinguish the incense and discard it (don’t bring it back inside). Doing both of these methods will thoroughly cleanse any residual energy from the previous owner.

I really like this video because I feel like my Pinterest board's gotten too insular and doesn't suggest much new stuff so this gives me great new ideas. I also appreciate when you talk about what item makes the design work and show how the image looks with that one feature taken out or changed to a different color. Enlightening!

Loved this, thanks. Big fan of the random contrast colour. My friends and I use weird voices all the time so just be yourself despite the haters. We will, however, never back a sofa up to a bed. Oh I have had a hard day, I'm exhausted so let me just slip off my shoes and relax by sitting facing backwards to my bed. Heaven forbid I just get on the bloody bed.

The really big headboards like the one shown in at around 8:35 are kind of neat in that they act like a rug does on the floor for defining a space. Like, "Hello, this is the nighttime space where we sleep but also have places to put our books or phones as we hunker down for the night, and this giant headboard is showing you where that space is." It's basically acting as a vertical rug.

Don’t be self conscious about all your kooky voices! I love them so much; they remind me so exactly of me and one of my closest friends 🫶🏼😆 we both have always done weird voices here and there and we seem to bring it out in each other too. it’s so endearing and entertaining listening to you, and those weird noise moments help you make your point, or express your thought better, I’d say 🙌🏼✨

OK, this might be one of my faves so far: chill, but fascinating and I felt like I was learning a bunch. PLUS . . . "natural light might be what's keeping me from ending it all". Exactly.
Also, just for the record, I enjoy the voices. The Voices have some pretty good ideas.😉 And finally, speaking of an accent color that makes the scene pop, the cute red sweater highlights your lovely gray-green eyes that I had never noticed after watching ALL your videos. Nice tough. Bravo! Do it again. How about home office inspo? Dang! my office is just a bin of work.
