Yup. As much as I loved everyone, Steve was the magical glue. He's a special human being, just has that charisma. Those eyes that tear up without apology, that smile, juat a truly touching person.
It was a brilliant run, glad we got the gift of experiencing it. Kinda like Golden Girls or The Cosby Show. It was a way for us to connect.

I watched all 9 seasons within a couple of weeks. Steve is missed but some of what they do works really well starting with the back half of season 8 (or slightly earlier). Of course it has to be enjoyed for what it is and not hated for what it isnt and that is the nostalgia would of Steve not bieng in the pattern.

  • @thebakercousin

This is a unpopular opinion but I kinda like the way it played out. Yes Micheal was SO iconic and it’s different without him but at the same time watching the rest of the cast grow up was important too and it was like seeing how the kids turn out after they leave the nest (or in this case, the father, Micheal, leaves). Yes manager Andy was cringey and Robert California and sabre and Gabe, but we really got more insight into characters after Micheal left that we didn’t get before because it was so focused on him finding his way. He finally became happy, but what about the rest of them, how do their stories end? In my opinion it played out the right way and ended so strong with no loose ends.

  • @gacgac9891

I think James Spader's [Robert California] character needed to come in way earlier. Would've loved to see him and Michael interacting in the office, the creepy sex-crazed genius interacting with the childish antics and buffoonery of Michael Scott. That would've been absolute gold.

  • @Adventuresandaquariums

They shouldn't have added any new characters after season 8, it almlst ruined the show and they changed their personalities in season 9 and everyone tried to be overly funny. I wish they made more seasons around the time of season 6-8.

I personally think putting too much Emphasis on Andy Bernard and also the Nellie Bertram character was what led to a lot of people not watching. Of course aside from Steve leaving. You can only take Ed Helma in small doses with his pathetic bitch demeanor. Lol And Nellies character was so off . The writers didn’t really seem to know what to do with her.
Robert California was actually fun to watch.

Just a suggestion, but maybe upload the entire interview in a single part rather than a bunch of smaller parts? If you want to have different sections, you should place certain "checkpoints" in the description.
So you could say, for example, "5:00-8:00 - On How The Show Influenced Others".

I disagree. While he was great to watch and S1-7 were fantastic, without the over bearing weight of his character in the show it gave the other characters a chance to really fill the space. I personally think it was much better without Michael Scott in it.
