There was so many things wrong with the situation. One why would they let the main character, the star, the guy who the FREAKING show is revolved around leave. It was a side character or someone who just wasn't interesting this is Michael Scott the main character and they just went on with season 8 without him. It's insane and they can say well the show was too popular to end just because he left. That's what makes it worse though it was a popular show so with out him it was Shit. NBC really dropped the ball it's like if i were to eat a pizza with out the cheese and sauce. It would still be pizza and all but would it be the pizza we know and love? No. It would not. It'd suck. I cried in the episode "Goodbye Micheal Scott" in the last. The way he departure at 4:00 pm and Pam hugged him out at the airport and he had tears when he was talking with Jim for having lunch tomorrow. He was really a heartthrob of the tv show. I don't know why didn't they offer up for the extension. Maybe The office Tv series didn't do well at that time as compared to now.
not true though. Andy as manager was great until all the problems hit him all at once. And among the rest Robert was okay. The rest of them were really awful, true.
It wasn’t that bad. It was actually better than I thought considering Steve was gone. They managed to carry it decently even tho it wasn’t as funny ofc. Jim did get annoying tho

When I rewatch I just skip the bullshit and bad episodes for the good stuff. I just wish that they hadn't ruined Andy and made needless drama where none was needed. I never understood half of the decisions made with characters. Andy was at one point a top 3 character for me and imo him going crazy and going on a boat for three months without Erin and not even emailing her alot just makes me so mad. It didn't seem like something he would do at all. He got ruined and they didn't even really redeem him at all. Pisses me off.
i think i read somewhere that they had to think of a reason why he left because ed helms was off shooting a couple movies so that’s why they wrote that in. but yeah, i agree, all that part sucks.
@@keithwaynejones meh. should have come up with some other reasons tbh. They didn't need to kill the character so badly. Even after he returned, the storyline they had him in was really awful. I really liked the character but they managed to kill it smh.
He was the very heart of the show! It's a real sorrow that he left, I don't understand how the producers didn't see that and failed to hire him for another season. They ruined the continuation of the series, although it had also other excellent actors, but Carrell is right, starting again now might not have the same magic. Steve Carrell is a wonderful actor and he then played in other movies wonderful parts, always with a sane message, for the enjoyment of many of us. I hope he will continue as such, carefully choosing his roles and not playing stupid or low roles as some good actors did before him, like for instance Robert de Niro. It's a pity to see good actors submit themselves to terrible roles that influence negatively thousands of young people.

HE MADE THAT SHOW, I was so pissed he left.. he was the only person making that show alive
Dwight- I can’t believe you came.
Michael- Thats what she said.
😂😂
I'll tell you why NBC didn't renew his contract. IT WAS TOBY!!!!
Fudge toby
Dammit Toby!
Damn that strangler
Noooooooooooo!!!!
😂😂😂😂👍🤣😆👍
The most weirdest guy in this universe ever was Michael Scott. And maybe that's the reason why everyone loved him.
That's absolutely the reason. Atleast for me.
Creed?
I really wanted too see holly and Michael scottts wedding and their kids and I miss the jokes and the Michael Scott’s paper company it was funny of Dwight
Such a great actor. He has so much range and people don't realise it.
I think people realise it. That's why it was so successfull
One of the biggest mistakes they ever made
Joey Nanthikattu that’s what she said.
Doctor-Dingus enough to make a grown man cry
I started watching The Office two weeks ago, and I am in season 9, couple of episodes away from the ending. I thought Michael was actually not going to leave or he will only be gone for an episode or two, so I continued watching and watching. I do not want to finish the series anymore because I learned he actually left at season 7, and deep inside I want the show to end with him. Ill just make up my own ending. THANK YOU NBC!
he comes back in finale
When Michael left, The office wasn't the same.
There's got to be more to this story, I can't accept that NBC executives are this dumb to let him go haha
Oh no, they are
They could be, tv and Hollywood executives ruin a lot of movies and shows you’d be surprised
if you think about it they probably saved a lot of money not resigning him
@@jeffys_ How do you figure? Ratings on one of their flagship shows plummeted. Which means ad-value for that timeslot did too. Tanking The Office would have cost them a significant amount in lost revenue.
@@thechickensandwich NBC also cancelled Outsourced after 1 season even though ratings were good.
They did Steve Carrell/Michael Scott dirty... ☹️
The office would have been nothing without michael scott!
I consider myself a gangsta but The episode of Steve leaving makes me cry everytime....
GEY
When he left it felt like a different show
"That is really hard"
"You always left me satisfied and smiling"
The Office took a huge dump once he left. NBC missed on probably making this sitcom the longest running show ever.
When I saw that episode (Long after the series ended) I didn't know he was actually leaving the show. I started watching next season expecting him back by episode 2 or 3, but he never came (that's what she said). I was so sad...
Who else cryed, when Michael came too dwights wedding?
Same I the last 2 episodes made me cry
Everyone
To*
I’m so attached to this show, I can only watch up until the Todd Packer episode of season 7, I can’t even watch the Goodby episode 😭 I just start over lol
Kudos. Season 7 and then start over season 1
I started crying when I saw him at the last episode, I got so attached to him 😭❤️
My fav is Big Short, he was brilliant in it. Thanks a lot!
Foxcatcher
There was so many things wrong with the situation. One why would they let the main character, the star, the guy who the FREAKING show is revolved around leave. It was a side character or someone who just wasn't interesting this is Michael Scott the main character and they just went on with season 8 without him. It's insane and they can say well the show was too popular to end just because he left. That's what makes it worse though it was a popular show so with out him it was Shit. I mean seriously sure season 8 and 9 was alright but nothing beat Michael Scott being there Steve Carell. I always thought it was weird for him to just leave but now it makes perfect f*cking sense. NBC really dropped the ball it's like if i were to eat a pizza with out the cheese and sauce. It would still be pizza and all but would it be the pizza we know and love? No. It would not. It'd suck. But it's in the past but it sucks that such a great show had to get the horrible treatment it got. Goes to show how Steve Carell made the office great.
He was the heart and soul of the office
I cried in the episode "Goodbye Micheal Scott" in the last. The way he departure at 4:00 pm and Pam hugged him out at the airport and he had tears when he was talking with Jim for having lunch tomorrow. He was really a heartthrob of the tv show. I don't know why didn't they offer up for the extension.
Maybe The office Tv series didn't do well at that time as compared to now.
That executive wishes there was a way to know you're in "the good old days", before he actually left them.
One of the most heartbreaking lines for me in a show ever!
Michael Scott: Bippity boppity gimme the zopity
NBC:
This is so sad 😭 I figured Steve left just cause he wanted to move on. NBC messed up. He made that show and everyone knows it.
Steve Carell is one of the best actors who’s ever graced television and Michael Scott one of the greatest, most honest characters. David Brent sucked.
I honestly hated Andy as Manager, Robert, Nellie and the new Jim & Dwight, they were all awful
not true though. Andy as manager was great until all the problems hit him all at once. And among the rest Robert was okay. The rest of them were really awful, true.
Robert was decent
Jim lost his magic around season 5
It wasn’t that bad. It was actually better than I thought considering Steve was gone. They managed to carry it decently even tho it wasn’t as funny ofc. Jim did get annoying tho
I didn't mind Andy too much. Despised Nellie for most of it but felt for her wanting a kid, and Robert really annoyed me. The last 2 seasons are only good cos of Jim, Dwight and Pam
That’s why the show ended. He made the show.
Micheal G. Scott was undeniably the soul of 'the office' ....we all could feel his absence once he left the show. The character that made millions laugh!
I cried when he left the show and came back in the last episode
I literally waited for him to come back after every episode he was the heart of the show fr and i feel like we should've seen more of him in the last episode.
2:15
I can literally hear him say "No God Nooooooooooooooooooo"
i just watched goodbye michael part 2 and this is the hardest i’ve ever cried in my entire life, i swear to god
Me too. My eyes are still swollen from yesterdays crying.
I’ve watched the office 15 times and I cried every single time Micheal left 💔
When Steve left the show died. .. sucks was my fav show next to Seinfeld.
@Gengar Phantom you need some common sense if you can't decipher my interpretation or read between all the dots 🙄😄
@@2_2_4_3
Are you all alright? Like seriously, that's not common sense, it's just extremely basic grammar. Everybody could read between the dots extremely well, but it's not his fault that your grammar is that of a 7-year-old.
@@bugs5590 like I told the guy above if you care so much go back to school and teach youngsters .. and for godsakes pray for some common sense 😌🤦♂️🤷♂️
I agree! Office and Seinfeld are my two favorite shows.
After he left i kept watching for pam, jim and dwight
After Steve left the show went to shit. That said the last few episodes of season nine and moments in both season 8 and 9 still make me smile.
I really missed him when he left, and when he came back I absolutely balled my eyes out 😭😭😭
We missed Michael scott on last episode I had tears after seeing Michael scott .. ii
He's a living comedy legend. 80's had Leslie Nielsen, 90's had Jim Carrey & 00's had Steve Carell.
