The best way to escape the Dragon's Reach dungeon is just by shouting. A guard will actually open the cell door to tell you to stop, then you can just walk out. I'm not even kidding.

The best jail break I did was waited for the guard to walk by and used telekinesis to pick up a plate in my cell, throw it threw the bars and hit the guard! He screamed "What are you doing!" And opened my cell to attack me. I ran like hell and everyone including the jarl attacked me. I had non of my belongings and made it out of whiterun with like 25 health. It was so much fun! 😁

I actually have a thief character that has only been to prison once and that was because it was the cidna mine quest so I had little choice still proud of that completed the thieves guild and dark brotherhood without being caught
I escaped dragonsreach at level 2 and got all my stuff And I’m glad I did get my stuff because I just couldn’t think about losing my precious iron sword😂🤣
I started a riot in Solitude. My lock pick broke and since I never really put anything into pickpocket, I shouted a guard and I've never been able to return to Solitude on that save
Graenolf, love your video. Another way to escape Whiterun is if in the Companions quest line you have been in the Underforge, go there and there’s an exit out of the city that way. So no need to worry about the guards in the front, though it’s easy to get past them.
Isn't Dragon's Reach one of the easiest jails to escape? The only real difficulty is getting your belongings back, but even then it's just a master lock. I suppose with the artificial restrictions you placed on yourself it might be the most difficult dungeon to escape.
