I love how raw and real this video is. I wish I had this when I had my kids. I found the postpartum so traumatic because I didn't expect the recovery to be this difficult and I tore so badly that it took me a year to feel normal again

I am pregnant with my first right now. My husband and I have already started to look for a night nurse. We both own our own companies and even if we didn't, we know we need sleep to be able to function and be happy. I am so thankful we can afford to do this. good for you! You are happy and doing your best for baby girl

I’m a “veteran” 😌mom.. I remember those exact feelings about the unknowns.. just breath and take only one day at a time! Don’t think days and weeks down the road and what if your self .. just one day at a time and before you know it EVERYthing will be scheduled and seem normal again !

Hi Naomi! I am also a first time mom, had my baby Dec 3,2020. I felt the same way. It’s overwhelming and exhausting, and you hear ppl say it but you never know until you go through it yourself and then you have a new appreciation for all the moms you know now going through it yourself. Definitely will make you feel stronger. I felt the same way as you, I did call about post partium. Was told I had it mildly. I can definitely tell the more help you get the better! So that’s amaaaaazing that you got help! It’s definitely worth it!!! Stay safe 💜

Just want to tell you that all these feelings you’re having are valid and ok. You’re an amazing mom and have amazing support! Also ignore those who give you grief about having help. You were blessed to have her early, it’s typically the last month when stretch marks rear their ugly head. Don’t feel bad about getting extra help. Get all the help you can get. If I was able to do that when I had my children, I totally would have. I didn’t have anyone to help me either and I had two c-sections which made it much more difficult. You’re doing amazing!!!

It's so refreshing to hear a new mom's story. Thank you for sharing such a personal part of your life. Regarding the breastfeeding experience, I say the first 6 weeks are hard till you shade the first 3 layers of skin :D. And yes, if you don't do it correctly the nipples can get damaged and bleed. The creme comes in handy. Classes are very important to gain the knowledge to do it right and learn from people who have dealt with all of this. Hormonal imbalance shows itself differently in each of us, at different times. I highly recommend mommy classes and keep those vitamins going. Good luck!

Thank you for this real video. I gave birth last March, and I remember being really upset because nobody on social media talks about postpartum and parenthood openly. Meaning that most of the times all conversations regarding birth and period after giving birth are sugarcoated. Parenthood is hard, everything changes over night, you have to figure things out, find a new routine with your partner...but it is also extremly beautiful. So to all moms out there - it gets easier, I promise, and you are doing great even if you don't think so. Congrats on your baby💫

I was really young when I had my 2 kids now 17 & 13 and the one thing I recommend is please take a little time for self care because is only way you recharge batteries!!!! I would literally take my son in the bathroom and he would be in his bassinet taking a nap while I showered because I promise you NEED that relaxing hot shower 💜 take care new mom’s because your family needs you at 💯 and they grow sooo fast! ☹️🥺

Congrats!! You did great hiring a night nurse, I also didn’t have my mom and that would have been SO helpful. I mean you need to eat, sleep too:) by the way hairloss (if it happens) is around 3 months post partum, and you’re usually cleared to exercise 6 weeks pp. And you still have to take prenatals (or postnatals) if you’re breastfeeding or pumping! I gave birth last year and the thing that helped me the most in the harder times is to remember that everything is just a phase! Enjoy the snuggles💕

  • @Maikity1

Was going to say the same like some of the comments below - you look so worried that you have hired someone and you're trying to explain yourself. Just know that the normal people will understand even if you don't say anything, the crazy ones will be the one leaving judgement, so don't worry! :)
I will be having my mom here for at least 2 weeks ( which are the crucial ones), don't know what I'd do if she wouldn't be coming, so of course you need help in the beginning, it's your first baby!
You are doing great, the fact that you're doing this to help other moms to be, is enough already!
    Kisses and support here from a mom to be in 2-3 weeks ( I guess I don't know when ) :D !

Congratulations to you Jamie and baby Presley. I have two advice for you first try as best as possible to sleep when baby does don’t worry about doing other things especially now in this early stage. The other advice is don’t hesitate to let Jamie take over when you need help, a break or even to eat or take a shower. Remember you are only as effective as you take care of your self too. And bonus advice.....remember before baby it was just you and Jamie so try to make time for each other and enjoy every single moment the hard and easy times because this year will go bye in a blink of an eye.😘❤️🙏

This was good coverage N. But can I just mention. I did cry with my first born a lot postpartum. However with the subsequent babies which were 2 more boys and finally a girl, I found that with the last 3 babies (4total 3 boys 1 girl) postpartum I fell very sad as the pregnancy was drawing to a close and when the babies were finally born, not feeling the kick inside anymore made me so so sad. With the firstborn it was all too new, and so many first time experiences that I didn’t feel it with him. You and Jaime are doing great btw. Congratulations and keep up the great work.

I thought you did an amazing job exampling things for the new moms. No one should judge you for anything. Everyone has to do what is best for them and their baby. You also said at times you felt like a failure…no way were you a failure then or now. Just keep doing what you and Jamie do because Presley needs you both and continue to read that poem because it sounds like a very good poem to read at times when you feel some kind of way. You and Jamie are doing an excellent job! ❤️

Breastfeeding is stressful for the first few weeks. For sore nipples when your baby is finished feeding express some milk from your breasts and rub it on your nipples and air dry. There is a healing properties in your milk
