I also recommend a folder to put all the paperwork of the baby that will be given to you from the hospital, which will be a lot!

So nice that they have so many things to comfort you in every way. Our son is 36. I remember packing 2 nightgowns and not much else. Lol. Best wishes for an easy and quick delivery. So happy for you, husband and baby to be. It will be great.
Oh and my husband bought his very special going home outfit which sadly was lost when out home burned many years later.
Wishing you and Jamie all the best with your baby girl! Naomi just wanted to give you a small piece of advice, Im assuming US hospitals are scent free so maybe skip the perfume while your there. Once your home do anything to make yourself feel good! Take care.❤

I just entered my third trimester for my second baby and I loved everything you packed, my first son i was not prepared at all!

First hospital bag, so exciting! I recommend packing a thicker robe, perhaps a fleece, plushy one. It's very cold in the hospital, like 50 degrees cold at all times and you will be naked at least half the time from the waist up.
I also recommended a cute nursing gown instead of the 2 piece pajama. You will not use the bottom part as nurses come and change your pads every couple of hours, you will be in a lot of discomfort as is without having to do extra physical work.
Regarding make-up, yes yes yes! probably the next day when you are rested i suggest you go all out with hair and makeup and take some awesome pictures that you will remember forever. You will look back at this special time and it's worth doing. I also recommended doing the photo shoot provided by the hospital that day as well to capture quality photos and the entire family together. Nurses usually help but those pics are not as good. And lots of videos!!! If you have visitors that's also a good day to schedule them.
Regarding the pads, the hospital uses some very absorbing square pads for the bed, the are the size of a baby blanket, love them. I took mine home and wish I took more. I still use them today for potty training for the kids beds, i also used them on the rocking chair before I sat down to nurse, you will have lots of stains. They are somewhat rigid and don't shift around. Can't find them anywhere to buy. I recommend taking those home. And plan not to sit anywhere in the house without a blanket underneath, just in case there is a leak (yes it's that bad). Also, take at least one baby blanket provided from the hospital they usually have duckies on them, great souvenir for when you will look back at photos. They are again more rigid and hold well in a tight swaddle, especially when you are learning. Good luck!
Puppy pads are the same thing and you can buy those at Walmart ☺️

Yay so exciting! You may want to pack a gown for PJs because they will be checking on you down there from time to time and it’ll make going to the bathroom easier. ( I had to get stitches so they kept looking to see that I was healing ok)

After having a super fast birth the main things I enjoyed were having some batter lights for a low light option while I was in the bath. We had to stay for a couple days after and so my laptop with friends downloaded made the hospital feel like home and a grungy old maxi dress to go home in.

Hun, you might wanna consider bringing another outfit for the baby incase stain comes along or if he or she pooped all over or incase your baby has to stay another day or so for jaundice... actually 2. I mean with the pandemic and all for me I preferably would want my own clothes for the baby not the hospital clothes.
