I love that the way she became a regular is exactly the way her character became Josh's assistant.

I loved Donna. I found the delivery of her lines to be bitingly sarcastic. Not in a way meant to cut people down but to show that her character was smart and witty. Then she would contrast that with moments of raw emotion like when Josh got her the book for Christmas or when he got shot. Janel Maloney was just amazing.

I always loved the chemistry between Donna and Josh. My favorite of the series is the episode where Donna is asking about a tax refund and the whole episode she bugs Josh " I want my money back! I want my money back!"

Donna from the go was special. She and Josh just clicked together as one. You always knew at some point they would become a couple. That was part of the fun watching and waiting to see just how long Aaron Sorkin could drag it out. Although it seems we the audience realised it before Aaron did.

This is what determination gets you. I love how Janel fought to stay on in her own way, refusing to have them send her home, and that it eventually paid off with a promotion to lead principal cast member, is inspiring. So, good on you, Janel. I think Bradley's support helped too, with him helping her do another take of that "CJ is looking for you" scene when she needed it and had no pull to say it. Janel and Bradley just clicked and that is felt through the screen via their characters, whom I both adore, both for their own and parts of my favorite TWW dynamic romantic duo.
Also, Bradley in the background here. So supportive with barely noticeable nods, and his two thumbs up somewhat disguised as him adjusting his jacket, after Aaron talked about the promotion, and him leaning forward towards the end. He was really with her from the beginning on this matter.

Donna and CJ made this show relatable to me the first time I watched it.
It is now my favourite show and every year I’ll watch it through at LEAST 2 times.
I am now on season 2 of this year’s second viewing. 😂😂

Donna was my biggest crush in the show. I absolutely loved everytime she smiled and her witty yet innocent demeanour.

I started watching WW again (for the 3rd or 4th time now?) just last week. I really get a vibe from it that Josh and Donna are the two central characters, and the others are there just for background :P Their interplay seemed the pinnacle of Sorkinism, and was just a joy to watch.

Still one of most favorite series ever. I loved all the characters although Donna, Josh, CJ, Sam, Toby and Charlie were my personal favorites.

I was sorry she wasn't in the final (three years later) episode. They managed to get Rob Lowe to come back; I would have liked to see Donna.

Donna was in the last episode. She wasn’t at the library dedication but she rarely dealt directly with the President. Plus if she was still COS for the First Lady, it makes sense her schedule wouldn’t allow her to be there.

Her character asked the question we all had. It was perplexing to josh and made him think about things differently
