Hey brother, I definitely recommend sorting out reverse on your outboard. I’m sure you’re already thinking that. It will give you peace of mind when having to maneuver in restricted areas. Keep up the work, enjoy watching your show.
Looking good! One major advice though, never ever fill your gas tank in a confined space (or down in the cockpit). Gas/petrol is heavier than air and will stay down there and wait for a spark to ignite, especially in your boat where the engine is in the same space. There are numerous boat fires/explosions every year because of filling tanks inside the boat somewhere. Take the tank onto the docks to fill. Happy sailing where no gas is needed!
Sure cool man, a great piece of gear! To the irony of the vid title; a roller furler is an essential piece of gear nowadays… to keep one safe in the cockpit while working a headsail, but at the same time, if not furled properly, or there’s a malfunction in the system at the wrong time, they can create a very dangerous situation. Having a good one is important (which you do) but maintaining it is equally important as is furling well. I’ve seen many times where they have created a dangerous circumstance… but mostly… they are awesome!! Congratulations!!!
right decision.. can you reef the main from the cockpit also? noticed the radar .. well done invaluable at night with fisherman turning of their AIS....
you should ask him about his system of going up the mast, it looks very similar to mine with the ascender and gri gri, its something you will need to be able to do
I installed a Furlex 104s on my old 27 ft boat in April. Definitely a nice luxury item for a solo sailor like me, but there is a downside as well: In stronger wind with the sail partially furled, the tacking angle does suffer a bit, which is of some importance when sailing in an archipelago with lots of islands.
@@LowBudgetSailing I'm sailing a British Halcyon 27 from 1969. The low draft of 1.2 m is a clear advantage in the Finnish Archipelago Sea, but the boat is small by today's standards, even though the head room is quite good. Being a long time sea kayaker it has been a lot of fun learning to sail (on my third year now).

Thanks my friend! I'm addressing the engine as we speak! Thanks for watching!

Damn!! You are so right! I should have known, since I learned this for my boat license exam…. Thanks for the reminder my friend!

Thanks my friend! Every Wednesday at 17:00!

Thank my friend!!😁
I agree too you need reverse to anchor successfully 😀
This problem will be addressed soon!

Must be the smallest boat with radar out there haha! Yes, everything is managed from the cockpit :D

I'm on it!
I would recommend to use Euro 98 for outboard engine net time.
When I just bought the boat the previous owner told me to put 95 😝. Shortly after I realized that might be the problem with this engine…
This engine has seen no love for a loooong time sadly
Just a reminder, your boat mast should lean back 1.5° to compensate.
Thanks amigo!!

Totally agree! But, I'll take it :P What boat are you sailing my friend?

Sounds amazing man. Hoping to sail that Finland soon. Must be so so beautiful
Yeah, fix that reverse if you want safety and no damage to your and other boats!
haha thanks Josja! Will do!
👍💪💪😅👊🤩
Thanks for watching amigo!
