Nice! You need to get to warmer climates! I'm in Florida USA and it's awesome! Living abroad working on my boat to get to the even warmer Bahamas! Keep posting awesome to see your progress!
Niet best..dat gat. Maar zulke dingen gebeuren😢. Maarre....
@@LowBudgetSailing
If you made a hole that easily, I think the grp is a bit thin for supporting the outboard. Perhaps glass in some stringers, plus an extra layer or two. While you are at it, the ply on the bracket will eventually rot if not looked after…I know! Perhaps give that a covering of grp.
Well it wasn’t very easy 🤣 the backingplate was glued so firmly with sikaflex, I have been slamming the biggest flat screwdriver I could find with a hammer 🔨 behind it. But, still I will be reinforcing it now 😊
Ops! But it’s fixable, it plastic. The biggest problem will be to color match the getcoat. One other thing, looks like the new chain plate is stainless steel and the bracket is aluminum. That’s potentially a very bad combination since it can become a galvanic element, aka a battery creating electrical currents sinking your neighbors aluminum or steel boat. The currents can travel a long way in a marina…
Thanks for the tips amigo! The aluminium bracket didn't work out in the end.. way to big! ssshhh don't tell anyone haha! (next episode material). But, thanks again for watching and the comment! I totally overlooked the fact that the bracket was aluminium, as you can see I was surprised myself of it being aluminium during the vid.
Man looks like you have a cool boat, you are making the same mistake I made early on, your intro is wayyyy too long. It should be like 5 seconds at most, right now you are almost a minute long.
Fun video as always! Don't break that boat, you'll need it! 🤙⛵
That's the plan! Thanks for watching again my friend 😁

Sounds great! Hoping to sail those waters with Yellow Mellow soon! 😁
Chain plates fix shrouds or stays to the hull. What you have is a backing plate.
Thanks!
Hoi
Which port are you?
Scheveningen my friend!
