This is so well written. Young hire eager to prove herself.thinking she's better than old school staff because 1. She went to a prestigious school with a prestigious degree and 2. She knows how to use zoom and think she knows all about tech. Kinda reflects real life
At the end of this meeting, she leaves the office, cries, never speaks to Ryan again, schedules a Zoom call meeting to speak to Ryan's boss privately, and tells the big boss that if he doesn't fire Ryan for harassment, she will tell her lawyer that she will begin a lawsuit against the company for creating a hostile work environment. That would be a Gen-Z girl in this role in 2024.

Anna Kendrick later claimed that she was financially insecure as a working actress when she made this movie, and that during the promotional tour her wardrobe was rented for her. Kendrick admitted that she felt bad about that, she thought it sent a misleading impression to young actresses. The role of Natalie Keener was written with Anna Kendrick in mind, after Jason Reitman saw her in Rocket Science (2007).
Aren't wardrobes for carpet walks commonly basically designer advertisements? Maybe that's just for the awards shows, but given the numbers I've seen worn to talk shows that I can't imagine are plucked out of the speakers wardrobe, I don't think it's common for even the promo circuit to be out of the actors closet.
@@westrimi think what that means is that at that point she wasnt a big name. designers lend out their pieces all the time, but only to names that will add prestige to their brand, not the other way around. pitch perfect is still three years away, camp and rocket science were not widely seen, and she has a bit part in twilight. all fantastic performances, but not enough to get her free designer threads.

This scene is brilliant because Bingham feels that this girl could actually result in him being fired from his job firing people. Nice extra layer of delicious irony to the scene…the man who fires people desperately proving to his boss, the new girl, and really to himself, that he should keep his job.
I disagree, I think Bingham is so passionate and knowledgeable about the way the job is done, and like he said you the boss previously, there's some dignity on how is done. Doing it on screen is borderline disrespectful to people

He's not going after her because she's a woman. He's going after her because she's a threat to his life style. Anna Kendrick and Vera Farmiga's characters in this film are just a strong, ambitious, and powerful as Clooeny's character.
